Tammy, how are you doing?
It was a quiet day here-we went to the cookout but not many people came. Stiill, I sat next to someone and got to hold her grandson. Then we went to pick up the crib-it's beautiful.
I had made a cake with layers and Kool whip and it wanted to separate all the way there on the bumpy road-but the kids loved it-I guess the adults did too/ Next time it will be a single layer.
Well, everone is coming today. Hope all goes well.

Mima- You are right about holidays. I don't feel left out at all..I enjoy the quiet.. We didn't do anything but go to the store and bought a watermellon..I buy maybe one or two a year.. I eat too much of it and need to stay close to home then.HA!
I hope Tammy is doing ok. I hope she gets enought support to stay strong..
I watched the 4th in Washinton last night. It was pretty good.. I don't care for the idol winner from Alabama.He jumps around too much and you can't understand a thing that comes out of his mouth.Can't remember his name. I guess my short term memory is going south like the rest of me..

Hello everyone. Bob passed away this afternoon about 12:45. I am still in shock. I know it will hit, and it will hit hard. Just wanted you all to know.
Tammy, my heart goes out to you and Tim. I don't even know what to say! You will have rough days ahead, but I hope you can come here and find some comfort from friends that care about you. I am so very sorry this has happened. I know you must be in total shock! Tammy, God will see you through this. It was time for Bob to go home.

Thanks for all of your thoughts and prayers. Tonight was the visitation at the funeral home. So many people. Tomorrow is the funeral. A dinner afterwards served by the women from our church and the women's auxiliary from the American Legion here in town. Bob belonged to the Legion, and he was in their color guard. The color guard will be there for us tomorrow. I have terrible moments, then I'm ok for a while. I still can't believe that he is gone. Tim has been wonderful.
Boy, I wish we could all be there to give you hugs. Still praying.
Went to doc's yesterday and he was very pleased about my progress from PT. Said I was taller!! and that I could buy new clothes. Ha!
But I am sore as heck from gardening. At least it's just normal from using muscles that I don't use.
2 docs today. Then I am done for a long time. Mima
Tammy I wish I was there for you too....I am still in shock my self so I can't imagine what you must be going through. I do not know what I would do if DH suddenly passed. I'm glad you have Tim there and church and legion friends. I know when all this soaks in and you are alone it will be hard for you so please come here and chat with us, we will try to comfort you.
Mima, gardening muscles..I know the feeling! WE got the rest of the garage shelves in and were wroking out there all day in the heat and humidty, I think I sweated off some pounds!!!!!
I'm off to home to go to bed if I can get through the storms going through here right now....TA... TA!!!
