Hello-I will ask Joyce about that drink. I went shopping for her and when I delivered the groceries, I tripped up her stairs, which had a jagged cement edge, and skinned my big toe which bled profusely. Wodered if that comes under the heading of no good deed goes unpunished. Not really-
I think I got the right shoes for Al-stretchy silver ballerina shoes with rhinestones on the toes. I could even put an elastic to hold them on.
Now for the top-mall tomorrow.
Went to lunch with our friends for the last time til next year.
Called the no response people and got 3 yes 2 no and a maybe. Suzanne thinks 145-150. At least 8 are children and it's half price. I didn't tell her I need to pay 2000 in taxes. I actually have that covered-some will be from the 1200 we will get back from the tax thing in May. I hide and save up money-will do that for next years taxes, that's for sure.
I hope you are getting rested, Anne.
Today I will be making a lot of changes so we can go back home-things like turning phone at home on and this one off etc. Mima

Mima, you sound like me! I am always running into things and hurting myself. Hope your toe feels better. The shoes for Al sound pretty. We aren't sure what we'll owe in taxes. Bob was on the phone with the tax lady last night, and he wasn't happy when he finished the call. When do you leave for home??

We are going to the liver specialist this afternoon. Hope the liver enzymes have improved, and that nothing else bad shows up. I know Bob is worried. I am concerned also.

Hope you all have a great day!

We are going to sons house today for a ccokout for my brothers son.. I am not really looking forward to it.. Our sister mary will be there and she is hard to tolerate at times.. Everything has to be about her.. me- I would like to find a spot alone and stay there at these times..I hate the barbs and digs..I guess at my age it is hard to just let things go over my head..She doesn't do it to anyone else..The nephew is a Col. in the army. He works in Washington. He is a great guy. His family is with him. I will enjoy seeing them.
Mima- I am glad I am not the only one who can fall over my feet.I have to be watchfull all the time. I lose my balance easy.Sure am glad that I have no more weddings to plan... I may make the pillow for the rings if the bride is going to use one. My g/son is getting married in June..Her WEDDING PLANNER may have already taken care of it. I always did ok without that expence..I hope my G/son sees the light at the end of the tunnel..He is just a hard working guy and still a student for many more months.
Hello Meme- I guess your head is still buried in tax papers.
Hello Happy..Now that you have seen some of Fl. come on down again..

Hi-We are leaving a week from Sat and stopping in Chrlotte, NC to visit friends. Rich friends who will wine and dine us and not let us pay for anything. I need to find something to bring to the people who have everything.
Went to doc's-told him the treatments didn't help-then went to the mall and found a cute little top for Al in one of her favorite stores.
Art today and church tonight.
I made some signs for Brad;s model rr.
I am now waking up early again. Slept off and on through Idol!!! Love that young 17 year old.
Mima Hope the doc goes ok Tammy and the cookout, Joanne.

Bob's liver enzymes are still elevated. He has had no alcohol since the beginning of Sept. before he was so sick. The doctor said that maybe it is going to take a while for his to be closer to where they should be. His glucose was 245. That was a couple hours after breakfast, and it is too high. The doctor said he is letting the family doctor know that he thinks he should be on meds for it. Bob was on a pill several years ago for diabetes, and he quit taking them. Stubborn man!!

Joanne, glad that your sugar was down. I know I need to watch my chol. and trig. also. I tested my sugar yesterday morning, and it was 103. I was pleased. I wish I could have been there to help protect you from your sister at the cookout. Did things go well? I'm sure it was nice to see them.

Mima, my cousin lives in NC. Wave to her when you are there!! That's neat that you will be working at the retreat place next fall. Hope you had fun at lunch!!

I met with a friend today. That's the first I've seen her since we've been home. We laughed and talked alot!

Meme and Anne, I hope you are both behaving yourselves!!

I feel like Charlie Brown when the football keeps being taken away-my gf didn't show up-I stood for almost 40 minutes and then came home . I called her and she said AC guys just left and she didn't know how to get in touch with me- I had sent Brad back home to check messages-duh-I did agree to go over again to the restaurant next door to our Park and she was there. She looks terrible-has had shingles which affected her walking and she was bloated from prednisone. She's the same person who has stood me up 2x before. I felt bad because she had been sick. I can forgive her but I can't forget. Next year????? She says she feels bad when it happens .
Enough about that-we are super busy getting ready for 10 people for easter-it may be 12 if Joyce comes with her bf. She's only 79 and she's got a bf. Never been married. He would like to marry her but she says he has health problems but she does too,.
Brad takes Glucophage for his diabetes but he keeps having to take more. He is headed for insulin I think. He has trouble here but when he works at home. he is ok. And that will be soon.
I had to make an appt with the dentist because my tooth is reacting to heat. Don't want it to turn into awful pain.
Suzanne's friend didn't get a shower invite-I think we each thought she was on the other one's list. But glad she asked, She is her best friend and also a bridesmaid. Ha!!!
Going to BJ's and I am going to buy that beautiful paisley jacket!!!I saw last week. Mima

Hi Everybody. Hope you all have a great Easter. We are leaving for my daughter's in the morning, and there will be about 30 of us at her house for Easter Dinner. I passed the "torch" onto her

Mima - Your time is getting near to going back home. I hope that Brad can get his sugars under control. It isn't good for them to be so high. This can just cause so much damage to the body. A friend of ours has to have Dialisis (sp) 3 times a week, due to Diabetes. I hope you have recovered from that fall!

Tammy - it was nice that you got to catch up with a friend. Is Tim home for Easter?

Joanne - hope your bq went well, and please, don't let that sister push your buttons. Life is far to short.

Again - HAPPY EASTER TO ALL OF YOU!!

It's my birthday on Easter Sunday, so as you can see, I'm already having a big party

Happy Birthday, Happy!!!! I bet you are only 29!
The good news and bad news-got a call fron Brad;s br. who said our oil tanl was empty, no heat , no Josh. Got in touch with Josh-he said he didn't have monet for oil. Brad said he would get some=Josh said thanks -he won't be saying thanks when he gets evicted. When we get home, we will give him the letter. Brad called a person who had been intersted-they will be signing an agreement to sell their house today and are very interested in the apt. Perfect timing. But even if they aren't, it's ok. Do you think that's why I had an attack of IBS, Josh didn't sign a lease-we don't have to give him a reason.I am putting this in God's Hands and praying that it works out smoothly.
We are getting things ready for tomorrow-we are having 10. What are you doing Tammy and Meme? Mima

Good that everything turned out ok, Joanne.
He is Risen, He is risen indeed!!!
We are having 9 and Evan who will sit down for 5 minutes and go.
Our church back home was spray painted with graffiti, along with a few others on Good Friday, Our pastor was interviewed and gave a great witness on forgiveness.Very sad.
Went to the thrift store and bought 7 knives and another set of salt and pepper shakers. something that heats up water using the car cigarette lighter and A SET OF CAKE KNIVES FOR THE WEDDING>. Just have to change the ribbon-brand new. Don't you just love a bargain. Disappointed because they didn't have nice forks!
My other buy was Russell Stover coupons-buy one large chocolate rabbit-get one free.
Bye for now, Mima

Mima, that's too bad about your lunch with your friend! I agree with you about the guy renting your place back home. Time to boot him out of there.
Did Even manage 5 minutes sitting down?? lol That's awful about your church, but great about the pastor. I also love bargains! Chocolate rabbits! Yummy!!!

Anne, it sounds like a crowd for your Easter dinner. Hope it was nice especially since it is your birthday!!!!! Happy Birthday!!!! Tim wasn't able to come home for Easter, so we went over there. We took Tim and his gf to Olive Garden for lunch. Yummy!

Joanne, I'm sure Eleni was a good buffer between you and the other sister. I'm sure she enjoyed that! lol What will you be making for Greek Easter? Anything we tried at the restaurant? I tried to be good at Olive Garded today. I had the Venetian Apricot chicken. It is a lower fat meal and comes with vegies. I did have the salad and a breadstick with it.

Going out got Easter is a great idea. Hope you enjoyed your birthday Anne! And you dinner, Joanne.
My dinner turned out well and it was a nice gathering. Evan did not sit with us -ate fruit and candy.
Suzanne went to the place where her reception was for brunch and was not happy with the food but another time it was good. She is happy that her gown fits and she had bought it smaller.

We have to start getting ready -5 days left. The time flew but we will be here longer next year.
Church was crowded but we got a good seat with our neighbors, The Pastor and 3 others sang Then comes the Morning just like Signature Sound and he did the solo. He can also play the droms and boy can he preach!
Mike pulled the van up to the doorstep and then put the ramp up to the top step!!! Too funny. Al loved the top I bought her but I have to get the next size in the shoes.
I have to recover from jelly beans. Mima

Default Hey There

Tammy- Everything turned out good. We had 9. I will cook pretty much the same thing G/Easter as I did this Easter.Lamb,pot,b/rice,salad,all the extras and pies. I will make the egg/lemon soup.
Mima- It is hard for youngsters to be still.. I used to feed mine early and just let them roam.
I am still having chest pain. Gas or whatever.. I am trying to do everything that is asked of me..I feel really tired right now.. Have to go get mammygram today..Going to Dr's is never ending. The one thing I hate to do.
I plan to make the pillow for the rings for my G/sons wedding..That will be a fun thing to do..
Christie having a barking fit.. Must see a bird or something in the yard..

Good morning, Mima, Joanne and Tammy and, of course Meme(wherever you may be)

Sounds like everybody had a great Easter. There were 26 of us at my daughter's for dinner, and 6 of them were kids. Loved it. My little gdaughter is growing up and will be 2 at the end of May. She is just so darn cute now. Had a great birthday and thanks for the birthday greetings. Another year gone!

Mima - I LOVE to come home! I would NEVER be one to be gone for months on end. Too bad about Josh . Some are just plain rotten.

Tammy - I had a great birthday and a great Easter. I always love being around my family. My nephew and his family were there as well. We only see them, at best, once a year at Easter. Sometimes, however is gets to be a couple of years.

Joanne - sounds like you had a nice gathering and now you get to do it all over again Hope they find out what the heck is causing that pain.

Next weekend, it is Ashley's 10th birthday! Not sure how she is getting so old, but we will have to go back to Edmonton for that. Also, my son will be home. I haven't seen him since mid February, as he has been working in Fort McMurray, where the Oil sands are. He wasn't able to make it home for Easter - first time ever! He has a birthday on the 17 Apr and will be 34 years old He is my baby!

I hope you all have a wonderful day!
