Mima, I'm so glad you had a good trip!! I know of others who have gone to other countries and said the same thing about how fortunate we are to live here. I met Carol and Melissa for lunch at 11:00. We were getting ready to leave, and it was 2:00! I can't believe we sat there that long. We had a good time though.

Mima - nice to have you back. Glad you enjoyed your trip. I thought you were going for a week not just a couple of days. Whatever, glad you enjoyed it. I have seen pictures of those falls, with people walking them. My brother took a bus to the top when they were there.

A washer will come in handy for them especially since his wife is not well. Those are expensive injections. I suppose they all are, but we never get to know how much anything costs here, as it is all covered under our health care.

Tammy - Isn't it funny how time has a way of flying by. Glad you enjoyed yourself.

I have a sinus headache going on today. It has been snowing since Sunday. We have more snow than we had all winter! It just isn't cold. Just at freezing, but that makes the roads icy. It is supposed to warm up next week. This is the last storm of winter (or the first of Spring), I hope. We now need rain. The only thing is, is that the snow is nice and white and clean. Spring is such a dirty time of year when it first appears. In just awhile, everything will come alive, then it will be beautiful.

Good news about the washing machine for now-Sunday school teacher said to put in a request to the church-they have mission money-so that's our plan. We need to meet with the mission Pastor next week.
I had absolutely no stomache problems in jamaica but I have been sick for 2 days since I have been back-I did eat some lettuce and white bread at the airport-since I had been so well, I thought I could handle it. I'm a little better today.
Kids will be here tomorrow and I am having Easter dinner. Very simple-ham, potato salad, macaroni salad, cole slaw etc. Making the triple chocolate cake for kids birthdays-my kids are 3 weeks apart in births and 16 years in age.
No snow here but it finally rained last night,

Anne, I hope the sinus headache is gone today! They can be so painful. It is snowing again here today. We don't have as much as we had in February. That was downright ridiculous!!

I got up this morning and hurt so bad and I was freezing. I went back to bed, and Bob put 2 extra blankets on me. I feel better now, but I still hurt some.

It will just be the 3 of us for dinner on Sunday. We're having ham, green bean casserole, deviled eggs (Tim's request), maybe a potato, and some kind of bread or roll. Fresh vegie plate also!!

Tammy - I hate that freezing stuff, and I hate the pain. It just stopped snowing here late yesterday. It has been snowing lightly (mostly) since Sunday. Now the wind is going to start to blow. The weather makes us hurt. Hope you continue to feel better. My sinus headache seems to be gone - for NOW. Hope to heck it stays away.

We are going to Edmonton for Easter. This is the first time in over 25 years that I have NOT cooked Easter dinner. My daughter is going to do it:carrot: :carrot: We will have Turkey, dressing, ham, sweet potatoes, fresh veggies, potatoes and gravy and rolls. For dessert, I make Danish Apple Cake. I do have to bake some brownies and something else today. We will go tomorrow and dinner will be on Sunday. There will be about 25 people this year, so now you know why I am so happy my daughter is DOING it:D

The puppy has not been a pain in the butt today,
I have made one pie today and will make a couple more tomorrow.I will have the soup done tomorrow too. That way I will have to only do the lamb and potatoes and salad on Sunday. There will be 6 of us.unless I get surprised with a drop in..Who knows.

Joanne, I remember when I chaperoned the band to Disney World in Feb. 2004. It was so cold! Tim was sick, and I ended up buying him a sock cap at Disney. It was much warmer than that when we were there in June last year.

Joanne - glad the puppy is doing better. You have done a lot already. Hmmm, sounds like you are having some cooler weather. It is windy here.

Tammy - I LOVE Danish Apple Cake. I made brownies today, to take with me. As for this sinus headache, it did go away, but I had to go out today, and the wind was blowing and hit me right in the forehead. I just KNEW it would come back! I sure hope it is gone by tomorrow.

Sinus headaches are not fun! Had to call my credit card because the restaurant in Jamaica charged us for 5 meals instead of 4. Got a dispute in.
It's going to be cooler here which is just right-high 80's next week.

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend with family and friends!! Mima, AMEN to He is risen!! We went to our old church this morning, and it felt so right! It's about 25-30 minutes from here, so maybe I'll just have to drive on Sunday mornings when the weather is good. I have a couple more churches that I want to visit closer to the new home though. It is still cold here, and the snow is still flying around.

The 3 of us had a nice dinner. We then sat and talked about taking a trip "out west" this summer. We've been to quite a few states, but none of those in north central part. I got online and requested info from Wyoming, North and South Dakota, Montana, and Idaho. Tim said we might as well take a long trip while he is still around to help us with the driving. Makes sense to me!

I hope Everybody had a nice Easter. I didn't go to church. With company coming at noon someone had to cook.There was 6 of us. Just right. Everyone brought a little something..
It sprinkled most of the night. And that is all it did. Under the trees it is still dry as a bone.
Looks like Mima is going back to the cold weather. What a strange year..We have had the heat on for the past few days.
