Joanne, it has been a strange year with the weather!!

Well-we almost went to the Keys-always read the fine print-got to the ticket window and they wanted much more than the 88$ I saw in the ad. You had to book a week in advance-gave the free ticket to kids and they could split the cost-I guess they had a good day but long! Bobby is insisting that they pay me back but I don't want them to=it was my fault for not reading the fine print-we can go another time.
Going to the beach today-Brad wants to stay home which is fine with me-he is getting on my nerves!!!! Ha!
Did get some stuff organized yesterday.
Very hot and it's going to snow back home on Thurs.

I've never been to the Keys. Maybe someday!! LOL to Brad getting on your nerves. Must be in the air!! Same thing here. It's still cool today, but nothing like it's been. We're in the 40's, so that isn't so bad. I got up and went to the Y for an hour this morning. Walked and did nautilus machines. Not many people there, so it was nice.

Tammy - sounds like you are in for a TRIP!!! Feel free to come on up to Canada, to Alberta. You would be more than welcome to come stay with us. We could take you to Banff and Jasper National Parks. The mountains are unbelievable. It would be so nice to meet you. If you get to the Dakotas you are only another day or two away. Glad you enjoyed your Easter as well.

Joanne - Glad you had a nice Easter and that everybody brought something. That is a big help.

It is 32 above today, and raining and snowing - intermittently. Gosh, I wish winter would get gone and that Spring would stablize. My sinuses are driving me nuts. Headache after headache. Apparently I am NOT supposed to take anything with an antihystamine in it, as it makes my heart race, even with medication to slow the darn thing down. Just a nose spray, but only for 3 days. I AM cheating and taking a Tylenol allergy/sinus pill, but only one, to take the edge of the face. The wind just doesn't stop blowing, and it is SUCH a dirty time of year. I love Spring, when everything starts to turn green and the leaves come out.

We had 28 people over for Easter (my daughter's house). I, of course, helped her to make dinner and it was an absolutley wonderful day. My nephew was there with his little one, and I haven't seen him for 2 years. The little guy is soooo cute. My own gkids are growing up so fast. Miss Ashley is now 9 yrs, and James is 8 and little Meela is coming on 11 months old. She is sure getting around now, and of course, babies are so cute between the ages of 9 months and 2 years. So much growing and learning.

Well, I have written a book - sorry about that.

Mima- I have lived in Fl. all my life and haven't got to the Keys yet.. Chances are not good that I ever will,unless, one of our kids goes and invites us to go.It must be the time of the year when we all would like to send the hubbies for a retread.
Happy- Everything is in bloom here. The oaks are the worse right now. My hubby and I have to take medication.
Tammy- It has been raining for 2 days. We are not complaining as we need it so bad.I just hate standing out trying to get Christie to pee or so forth for 15-20 min ,in the rain. I have a short fuse at that time..

Anne, I'll have to mention that to my husband when he sits down to plan our route. It would be awesome to meet!! We don't have to have passports yet do we? I don't blame you for taking that sinus pill. You need relief!! I can't believe Meela will be 11 mo. old already! Time sure flies.

Joanne, LOL about the hubbies needing a retread!! I can understand about the short fuse when standing outside with Christie. Sounds very familiar. Kramer goes out and I swear he has to sniff every single blade of grass that is in the yard. My husband has been to Key West and some others. His nieces and former SIL lived in Key West. They had a jewelry store called the Beachcomber there.

We still don't know the exact day and time for the house closing. We are pretty sure it is Friday (the 13th!!!), but not sure of the time. I will be sooooo glad when it is over.

Tammy-we are taking a train ride to ND this late summer. Then pick up a bus tour of some of the parks. Another couple might go with us-probably september as Brad has to work in the summer,

Mima, we'll be heading out west in mid-June if all goes as planned. I don't think we're going to manage to get in as much as we want to. Bob was looking over the maps earlier today. It has been raining here the past couple of days. It is cold and the wind is blowing. Feels like winter. I've heard of that island in GA, but I don't know where it is.

I think I need a nap.

It's off Savannah. We are going to have snow at home on Sun and rain all week so we will take our time going home. Had to write 3 papers for Missions yesterday, One went into cyberspace so I had to start over. Brad is calmer. I am calmer-we were reacating to each other, Going to lunch with that girl who stood me up!!!! We;ll see. ha. It;s HOT here.

It's supposed to be up to 47 today! Maybe it won't snow today. This weather has been absolutely crazy!! Hope that girl doesn't stand you up again!!

We have our closing on the house at 10:00 this morning. I hope I don't cry, but I probably will. The buyers are young, so they'll have many years to enjoy the big house and big yard. It was just too much for us with my health problems. I know we made the right decision downsizing to this home. It is perfect for us. We'll even have more room when Tim moves out in a few years. I'm not looking forward to that, but I guess his being away at college will help to prepare me.

I hope everyone has a great weekend!! Oh, we're leaving tomorrow for an overnighter to Cincinnati. There are some gambling boats nearby, and Bob's pool team goes down every year after the end of their season. Wives and girlfriends too. I'm sure we'll have a good time. We're not much into gambling, but I think I can play a few slot machines. lol

I hardly cried!! I did cry enough to make the wife of the couple buying it cry, but she's one of my former students, so that was ok! We went out to the house with them after the closing and walked through with them answering any questions they had. Also pointed out some things that they might want to know about it.

yeah-where is everyone???? Glad your house is settled. Change is good! Just not too much of it. Waiting for snow report back home. Had a nice lunch with friend-she went over to her Country club and got chicken salad on a pineapple and fruit. I ate a bit of the pineapple-so good. We caught up on things. Glad it was time to go home because her husband smoked 2 cigarettes while I was there,can't believe we are already going home. It's going to be 90 again just like last year when we went home. Then we freeze!!!Have to sleep on the couch the first night because the water bed is too cold.

Good morning Mima and Tammy and all you other MIA people.

I have just had a very busy week. I have been working lots this week and it has caught up to me. Today, we are heading back to Edmonton. It is my son's birthday and my GF 60th birthday so we will go have lunch with her. I am hoping to catch up to the fellow who does massage on my back. He is soooo good. I will try phoning him at 9:00 a.m. and see if he has any time for today.

Tammy - glad that the house deal is now finished. I don't really get emotionally upset about "things". People and pets, that's different. We built our house, and lived in it for 19 years. I cleaned it all up and then had to return the next day to drop off a key to them. Best thing I ever did. Everything was wrong in the house. Wrong furniture, wrong postioning - just wrong. Didn't even feel like my house. I also LOVE change. I think it is good for us. Perhaps being an Airies is why. I just get bored I guess.

Mima - I would hate being where it is 90F. That is the same as being where it is -30. You still have to stay in the house:) My favorite temperature is about 75-80, certainly NO hotter.

I sure don't know what has happened to Meme. It's been a very long time. Joanne - I know you busy running between rain drops with the pup lol Hope you are feeling ok.

Chris seems to have left us as well. Oh well! the house isn't empty yet:dizzy:

Mima, the chicken salad on pineapple sounds yummy. I like fresh pineapple. I'm with you about the cigarettes. I can hardly stand to be around smoke at all anymore.
