Fibromyalgia #165
I just gave Ginger a bath today and fluffed her fur out. Thought I'd make a couple of pictures of her after that but she was such a little ham in front of the camara I kind-of got carried away! :D She looks bigger than she is ... it's all that fur! She needs a haircut. (Plus ... don't they say the camara adds about 10 pounds?) :p
|
What a cutie!!!!Meme-I am so proud of you-people always think someone else will do it.
What a service last night-all music.I should have told you so you could log on.We went to DQ after and I had ice cream-oh I am aching but it tasted good. Anne-there are some other probiotics out-That Fibersmart has probiotics so it is definitely worth the money. But that's only if you get constipated. Heard form the pastor who said Praise the Lord!!! And no preaching. We took 8 packets to deliver to people who weren't at church. Have to look up addresses. All about prayer and fasting to get ready for new building. This is going to be a busy week!!!!!! I think it's going to rain today-my kids have their tickets to come down!!!!!Sure hope they go to church with us-that would be awesome. Bye for now, Mima |
Hey There
The puppy is so cute.. Mine is growing. There is nothing she won't put in her mouth.. I am constantly digging something out of her mouth. Rocks, shells flowers, sticks, paper clips etc.
Still feeling lousy. I am about to say I can't take this medication for colesterol. I keep hoping the symtoms (sp) will go away. I will be 74 on the 10th of March.. I wonder if it is worth it to feel so bad..Everybody thinks I am old as dirt anyhow. The weather is really nice now. No ac or heat needed. It is supposed to rain but I see little signs of it. Delagate Meme- That is the answer. Hope it lasts beyond one week. Back Later..Hello All. Joanne |
Hi Joanne-I think lots of meds have side effects.Mine usually give me pains in the stomache. Right now I am taking macrodantin and it gives you bladder pain!!!! Hope you feel better. I have been tired lately but there is stress in telling people-mostly family and Catholic friends-about me joining the Baptist church. I need to get to the point where I don't care what people think. It's between me and God.
We delivered some packets for the church yesterday and need to deliver 5 more this morning. Brad drives and I find the house. what a team. We prayed last night about how much money to pledge the church for the new building and WE BOTH came up with the same amount separately!!!!!!You don't have to sign a pledge card-it's between you and God!!! It's muggy down this way, Joanne. Hope my meds come today or I will be out of hormones-that could be bad!!!!!!for Brad, Bye for now Mima |
Meme, Ginger is just too precious!! I want to cuddle her.
Mima, DQ sounds good!! I agree that your decision is between you and God. Don't worry about what others think. They aren't in your position, and they haven't had the experiences that you've had to help you make your decision. That is too cool that you and Brad came up with the same amount to pledge!! Joanne, I'm sorry to hear that you are feeling up to par yet. A friend of ours quit smoking several years ago for health reasons. He said when he turns 75, he is going to start smoking again. Tim emailed yesterday that his temp was back to 97.6 (his normal), and also to say that he had eaten 2 soft tacos, a couple of muffins, and something else during the day. That's more than he has eaten any day in the past week. It's so good to know that he's feeling better. He has a makeup test this afternoon from last week. I'm sure he'll do better on it today than he would have done on Friday. Meeting a couple friends for our Emmaus Share Group this afternoon. Tomorrow is the last day for me at school, so a few of us are going out for dessert and drink right after school. I can't believe it's here!!! |
Hey There
Mima- Between you and God is all that matters. I feel that it isn't the name of the church or the religion ,it is what you find inside the church. I haven't been to church for 3 weeks. I haven't felt good but, to tell the truth I don't feel right there.I don't feel like I belong.. I have to go alone and alone is all I feel. Just a issue ,I guess I need to work out.It seems everyone has their group and outsiders are not included.
Tammy-My father died at 67 with lung cancer. Tell your friend to wait till he is 100. We always worry when our kids are not well. My son is 48 and my daughter 50 and I still worry..They don't tell me as much anymore because I worry. I decided to not eat after breakfast to see if it will help the indigestion.. Ate lite last night .Just some cr.chicken soup and a few craskers..I might also lose a pound! Hello everybody...Joanne |
She's a very good cuddler! Soft and warm. ;)
Weird ... it's sunny and 55 but I'm hurting so bad. I think I must've over done it last weekend, plus I 'dragged' my heel (dress shoes) as I was getting out of the van Sun. night and kind-of hurt the top of my foot and my ankle and now it is killing me. It caught on the rim where the door shuts. Probably doesn't make any sense. I went to see the Neurologist last Friday ... he wants me to go back on Flexeril 3X day. That's so hard for me ... they make me so sleepy. He wrote me a script for half the dosage I had before and then told me to cut those in half ... take half in the morning, half in the afternoon and a whole one at night. Do that for a few weeks and then change over to a new med that is now being used a lot for fibro patients ... Lyrica. I haven't started any of it yet. I'm taking the new scripts and getting them filled tomorrow. School is out for break for 2 weeks starting next week so I won't be teaching. Guess I'll give it a try then ... won't matter if I'm a Zombie. (Unless we have a lot of customers - then I will just sell the wrong trailer at the wrong price!) :p  I just posted a thread with a lot of the newer meds used for fibro if anyone is intrested. |
Joanne, I think we should live closer so we could go to church together! I also just reread my post, and I meant to say that I was sorry that you are not feeling up to par yet!! I need to start proofreading. Bob has already told Lyle not to start smoking again. Bob's brother died of cancer when he was 49. I know I could never understand why my mom worried so much, but I am just like her. Any indigestion today? WOW! Flexeril 3X a day is alot! I take it at bedtime. Even then I have trouble getting focused in the mornings sometimes. Trying the new way sounds like a good plan when school is out. As for the trailers, make sure you get more for them!!!
Went to visit my aunt and a neighbor at the nursing home down the street. They are both new there. I had never been there before, and it seems very nice compared to other nursing homes I've been in. I felt better about them being there because it was so nice. Meme, I just read the post on the new fibro meds. I had already tried Cymbalta with no luck. OUCH to your foot! Hope it's better soon. |
Ouch your foot is right!!! Doc gave me something but I have had so many other meds I haven't taken it.
Last day!!!!!!Wow!!!! Have fun Tammy! Joanne-when I am having stomache problems , I drink Walmart's generic Ensure for couple of meals to give my stomache a rest. It tastes good!!! We drove another 2 hours to deliver those packets-had to get in a gated community in one but the person was home so they called. Then we got totally lost in this other place-it's too funny when they build houses down here in a complex-they are all painted about the same. Course, i was reading the street name wrong!!!!!!!So glad that's done, Art today and brad has to take some freon down to mike's to put in his AC system. Church supper tonight. We need a bigger car down here-we are transporting 3 elderly-too funny!!!!!! Well-have a great day everyone. Going to the link now-Mima |
Good morning.
Meme - that little one is just way too cute! She is a real ham as well. I hope the Lycria works for you. A friend of mine is in a trial study right now - with Lyrica. Sometimes she has the real thing and sometimes a placebo. This med was actually made for diabetics that suffer from neuopathy. Flexeril is something I can't take. I think even a quarter of a pill would leave me feeling like a zombie, however, it does help with pain - somewhat. I hope your foot is feeling a little better. Mima - sounds like you have been a busy gal. At least you will get to know your area:) Tammy - glad that Tim is feeling better. I guess it needed to run it's course. I guess you can keep an eye on your aunt, since she is just up the street from you. Glad the place is nice. Joanne - I hope the puppy training isn't too hard on you. It can be quite the job. Does your hubby help you out with that? I sure wish you would start to feel better. This can't be fun, feeling yukky all the time. Yahoo! No work for me until Friday. I did work Mon and Tues. and yesterday was a really BAD day - seems for EVERYBODY! Everything I touched seemed to turn into a MESS! Some days are just that way. I am having problems with my back and it feels like a giant spasam has taken over the lower right side. I wish it would just go away!!! It is snowing here some this morning. I wish THAT would go away as well. Well, I hope you all enjoy your day. |
Tammy, you must be a free woman tonight. :carrot: I'll bet you are out celebrating. CONGRATS!!
|
First day of retirement!!!! Wonderful~~~
Wow-I hope everyone feels better really quick-my pain of the day is asthma and a sinus headache. Wonderful class last night on fear. Was just right for me as I tell people about my decision. We have a meeting at 10 about the mission trip but we will stop in the office to see about my baptism first-then lunch at my friends!!! Yup-we could start off each post with the pain of the day so we can sympathize with each other-more than we will get in the outside world. Mima |
Hmmm ... pain of the day, huh? Have ya'll seen the weather? Seen our warnings and watches? Then you know we are getting 'dumped' on in a big way here. My poor golden is hibernating in the garage. Talking about FEAR! She is terrified of thunder. I had her up all night ... let her out for a few minutes this morning but she was begging at the basement door in no time. My pain of the day is pretty much all over today. I feel like taking my bed down there and hibernating with her! :p
Congratulations, Tammy. You made it! |
My first day has been nice. Rain, thunderstorms, dog getting me up at 5 because he's afraid of the thunder. LOL Does that sound familiar Meme? I did go back to bed though. Bob and I went to the Y and walked, then we went to the library on our way home. Nice to just spend time together, but I'm sure we'll want some time alone too.
Mima, my mom used to drink the Wal Mart Ensure. She liked it too. Anne, hooray for you for being off till tomorrow!! Bob and I went out for supper last night. We planned to do Mexican, but the place was packed. We ended up doing Chinese, which was good too. He had flowers and a beautiful card waiting for me when I got home from school. He can be such a sweetie. I also received flowers at school from some of the teachers. That was a surprise. The retirement party at school will be at the end of the year when the other two teachers are finished too. I have WW in an hour. Hoping for a loss or stay the same. I do not want a gain, but I think it will be since it's about that time of month. Does that ever stop????????????????? |
Sounds like part of a good day Tammy. I was wondering about the retirement party. I had such a fun one!!!!!My boss and another teacher roasted me.
I saw the weather,Meme. Hope it's over soon-it's freezing rain back home. I did not have fun at lunch-the other 3 ladies are very liberal and they talked politics a lot. I sat there with my mouth closed to protect myself. Plus then they talked about books I had never heard of-I wa very uncomfortable. I like 2 of the ladies individuallly but not in a group.I probably won't do it again. The baptism will be Sunday night. www.mcgregorbaptist.org at 6 sharp-register early-you just need a password. The youth pastor will baptize me! It's his turn. Ballgame tonight-hope it doesn't rain. I can stay home this morning,] We met with the missions and we can do this trip but we need 4 more people. It's in God's hands. Bye for now-Mima |
Mima, I can understand how you felt with those women. I have been in similar situations, and it is best to keep quiet, which is VERY hard for me to do. lol
I'll pray that you can get 4 more people. I am hurting so bad today. I told Bob that I'm not supposed to hurt now that I"m retired. |
Hey There
Tammy- You finally made it! RETIREMENT!!!Just think all your time is yours to do as you please!!Enjoy it..Work on getting as healthy as you can. It seems strange ,but, that is just what a lot of people do. I did. There just didn't seem to be enough time for me before .
Mima- Politics and religion...Some people can be very boring. I get real uncomfortable around a liberal person. I have a sister that gets on a roll about different things concerning the president and the war.I too just sit still and keep quiet or find a reason to have to leave or change the subject rudely.Politics and religion are private subjects. I still am not feeling realy good. I am sure it will work itself out. I am trying to watch my eating and taking it easy on my stomach. Yes Happy the puppy training is difficult at times. My Daughter-in-law says I have one of the hardest breeds to train.. I will get the job done. It just might take longer than others. I can't let a 10 lb dog defeat me.When she gets too difficult I just put her in her crate for awhile. Then when she and I calm down I go to it again. Hello Meme. I don't know if this one is afraid of storms yet. I wish we would just get a good rain. This area is so dry that we are having brush fires. There is a bad one in Polk co. right now and a few people have lost their homes. Hope all of you are feeling better soon. Have a Great Weekend...Joanne |
Sorry you still are not feeling well, Joanne. Try some activia yogurt with probiotics. Puts good bacteria in your stomache.
Went to the game last night an saw that new pitcher-Dice K, He is phenominal but the batter hit his first pitch and everyone laughed. So many Japanese media!! Alison applied for a job in Build-a Bear at the new mall-hope she gets it. Going to a breakfast to join the church but my stomache is not good. I ate 2 things I am not supposed to last night. can't get away with anything. Tammy-what do you know about those college kids that got killed in that bus accident. they were on their way down here, Mima |
Joanne, feeling healthy is what I plan to work on. I am going to get myself on a schedule for going to the Y, and also I plan to start taking Kramer for more walks when the weather is nicer. I'm not going out in the rain, or the snow, or the frigid temperatures. Politics! Oh my!! My brother can't even be around his BIL because he rants and raves about things. My brother just leaves the room, and a few times has left his MIL's house because of it. I agree, it is a private thing.
Mima, our high school band goes to that college for band camp, so I've spent a few weeks there over Tim's HS years. A few of the players are from near here, and one of the boys that was killed graduated from the school where my SIL teaches. It is so sad! Tim played little league baseball against that boy. It really has hit home around here. We've had another loss of a parent of an elementary student this past week. That is 5 this year. I don't remember ever losing more than 1 in a year in all of my years of teaching. Also, one of our hs teachers lost his mother, so that is 6 parents of staff members this year. ALL of the deaths have been since mid-November. Too many. We're going to Muncie to visit with Tim tomorrow. Monday is his b-day, so we are going out to eat. He has chosen Damons. Yummy! He comes home for spring break on Friday, and we are leaving for Georgia on Saturday. It has to be warmer than here! And no snow!! Woo hoo!! My first retirement check was deposited in my checking account on Thursday, so I guess it's really official. lol |
I thought we had most of the restaurants around here or at least in Nashville but I don't think I've ever heard of Damons. Hope you have fun. That's terrible about all the deaths!
Sorry to hear so many are having tummy troubles. I took the g-daughters to eat Chinese last night and had an episode myself. Don't usually have any problems at that restaurant. :?: Joanne ... sounds like you got a little stinker ... like Nikka was. You're too far in to give up, I guess. So far, Ginger has been pretty good. I got so tickled tonight ... I laughed until I was nearly sick. Hubby was a little ... ummm ... almost sore at me, though. ;) We have an elevator (of sorts) between our kitchen and the bathroom that I've given over part of to Ginger. Well, her training paper is just inside the bathroom door just off the elevator. I was in the kitchen making banana pudding for a church dinner tomorrow and she had went through the elevator into the bathroom a couple of times and was just generally playing around on the elevator. Hubby comes along and sees her there and says: Ginger ... do you need to pee pee? Go on ... go on in there. She is straddled between the kitchen and elevator. Hind feet in the kitchen and front feet on the elvator when he says: Ginger ... pee pee ... so ... she does. Right where she stands. A little went on the elevator, which is carpeted with comercial carpet but most went between the floors and down into the basement. I laughed so hard! He said in a loud voice ... GINGER! I told him not to get onto the puppy because she did exactly what he told her to. He should have taken her and put her on her paper if he wanted her to pee. He just scowled at me. He had to go downstairs and clean up the pee. Too funny! She got her first haircut today plus the grandkids have been here all weekend and she's been very excited. We've had several 'little mistakes'. :p |
That is funny.! Too cute.
We went to the breakfast yesterday and I joined the church-along with our friend Joyce. Baptism tonight at 6- www.mcgregorbaptist.org Brad drove me to Beall's so I could get a new outfit-not that I will wear it in the baptismal!! Love Alfred Dunner because I don't have to shorten the pants. I went swimming and ducked my head under to see what it feels like. I am not going to hold my nose. Hope Brad can take pics. I am disappointed because Mike can't come-having out of town guests who can only come at 4. But he will watch it on the net. Have a great day everyone. Mima so sad about those college kids and all those deaths. |

Hey guys-where are you. I'm lonely.
Lost my mail key!!!! Not good !! Will need to pay $25 to get a new key. getting a massage tomorrow. Almost finished with my painting!! I'll post it. I am going to try to send a pic of my baptism. Here goes Mima |
Hi mima - my goodness, they put you right into the water! I have NEVER seen that before. Our Baptist Churches don't do that here. Anyway congratulations on your Baptism. Hope you find your key before you have to pay $25.00 for a new one. Keys are sure expensive these days. My front door key to this building costs $70.00 to replace, so I had better NOT lose it. I hate to think what a new car key would cost.
Tammy - you sound like you are going to keep busy and get the rest you need, when you need it. That is good. You have a busy week and weekend planned, so have lots of fun. Meme - that baby is just too cute. What a little character she is. Well, hubby did tell her to go pee lol Too bad he didn't lift her unto her papers first. Joanne - I hope you are feeling better. Yes, you can't let that darn dog beat you! Chris - Where did you go??? I hope you are feeling better. It is trying to be SPRING here and along with that comes stiffness and pain. As much as I want it to come I wish it wouldn't. Oh well, can't hold it back. I am getting such a sore throat, probably turn into Strep. Haven't been sick for 1 1/2 years so maybe it is my turn. |
Hey There
Mima- Our son did the same thing 3 sundays ago. And in the Baptist church too. I told my hubby if his church was closer I would go there.
Our daughter is coming down for the weekend. My B/D is sat. Our G/son is coming and bringing his g/friend. They are talking marriage next summer. I wonder if they will wait that long. They will both be out of school then. He is 27 and I think she is 20-21. She is a jr. in college. He is working to get a electrician degree. He works full time with a local electrician. He was in the navy 5 years so they are paying for his schooling. The weather is getting warm. I doubt we will have much more cold. You never know though. This year has been crazy. Got to go take christy out. She has a new thing. She plays in her water bowl and gets the kitchen floor wet ,then she runs through it and plays. WHAT A MESS she made today.I mop a couple times a week.Maybe I should put some pine sol down and she can do the cleaning!!! Hello everybody.. Where is everybody? Joanne |
Sounds like a good idea, Joanne, and she'd get her bath at the same time ... and smell good, too! :D My puppy has been getting bored when I leave her alone too long. I have been putting some newspaper in the bottom of her little 'house' and then a towel on top so ... she has been moving the towel and tearing little pieces of the news paper off and chewing on them. Don't guess they'll hurt her. :p I guess I can't expect her to just sleep all day.
I'm trying to take the Flexeril and they are making me so sleepy. Sleeping all day is what I'm wanting to do. And that's about what I did yesterday. Neurologist wants me to take 3 halfs a day PLUS 2 whole ones at night but today I had to go to town and get stuff for Choir Practice so I didn't take any. They think if they practice for 2 hrs. they have to eat at break half way through! ;) So I got some sweet stuff and made a plate of cheese and crackers. There are only 20 of us ... but we have fun. Mima ... thanks for the pictures. Sorry I missed the service. All our Fundamental churches here believe in full submersion baptism. I think only the Catholic, Lutheran and most Presbyterians around here sprinkle (or pour). going to bed now before I fall over. Don't have to worry about not getting enough sleep now!!! |
Wow about your son, Joanne! My kids told me I wobbled but that robe was soheavy when it got wet and there were stairs all over the baptistry. I am glad you got a kick out of your dog-they can be so funny.
Hey tammy-were you going away? I forget. Hope you don't get sick Anne-take some zinc lozenges right away. Worked on my painting for 2 days-will finish it up today-yeah. I lost my keys Sat night when I was thinking about the baptism and getting a new outfit and going to Walmart. My brain can only hold so many things at a time. Brad is going to hang them around my neck!!!! Not a bad idea! That fibersmart is working really good. Half of it is the probiotics. Brad is putting in a new air conditioner across the street. He will make a little money. Bye for now, Mima and hi Chris. |
Meme, Damons is a BBQ place. I'd like to be in the choir if you are feeding us!
Mima, congratulations on joining the church! Great pictures!! Did you hold your nose? I would have to do that. We are going to Jekyll Island, Georgia. Anne, I hope you are feeling better! Sore throats are not fun to have. Joanne, I like the idea of the dog doing the cleaning!! I've always thought that I could hook something to Kramer's tail because it never stops moving. I need to go get my shoes on and go to the Y. I've been there 2 days in a row, so I need to keep it up. I've been walking, using the recumbent bike, and doing some of the Nautilus machines. |
Wow,Tammy=yeah!! I had a massage yesterday and I am a bit sore but I should feel really good later.
I am putting myself in a dither about things that are coming up. Had a great class last night about worry and what to do-and we know that it's to put things in God's hands. The Jamaican trip is not going to happen but I think we are going there fow a long weekend to check it out. And McGregor will have a trip next year, We were going back and forth about renting a car for Brett and Angela-now it's down to renting a car for them to go back to Orlando next sat. Otherwise, we have to drive about 6 and a half hours-and miss the picnic! I finished my painting-it's really good. I have a new small Holmans Bible and case. Now I am a real Baptist-ha. It's an adjustment, Bye for now Mima |
Mima, one of the water aerobics instructors is a massage therapist. When we get back from GA, I plan to make an appointment with her. I need a class about worry too! I think I'm getting better though. Renting a car for them sounds better than you making the long drive. I wouldn't want to miss the picnic either!
I didn't go to the Y yet. Might go this afternoon. I have my first meeting with the Darke County Retired Teachers today! It's a luncheon, and I used to work with the president. Should be fun. |
Love it that you are enjoying retirement!!!!! No car-they drive on the other side of the road and they have taxis. You should see the hotel!!!! Isaac's church group will be there.
Brad's almost done with the AC across the street. He's making $500. MMMM Angela is so excited about coming down here. That's so nice to be able to do this. Brad and Brett may go to Epcot while we go to the Mgic Kingdom. I have been there so many times=I am ok with it. I can rest while Keith sleeps. Shopping today!!! Bye for now-Mima |
Mima, so far retirement is great! Of course, it's only been a little over a week, but I have managed to stay busy (and out of trouble). Tim and I talked last night about the possibility of a Disney trip. I'm always ready to go.
I hope I have the date right on this. Happy Birthday Joanne!!! We are leaving for our trip in a little bit, but I had to check in first. Behave while I'm gone. We'll be back next weekend sometime. |
have a great time,Tammy. Hope you get some good weather.
Happy Birthday Joanne!!! One more day to get ready to go to Orlando overnight.Yesterday I put together our little Jamaican trip through Spirit Air. 5 nights and 6 days at Ocho Rios near where Isaac's wife lives. No car rental-they drive on the other side of the road!! Taxis!! Can't wait.We will be with a church group on Monday to see what their mission is. Went to Perkins last night with Mike etc. What a surprise to find out a gift card was $40-that's because Brad helped fix their heat, Brad is going to the Handyman group while I get stuff done. Good weekend all. Mima |
Good tripping everyone. Don't guess I'll be doing much traveling ... for a little while anyway. The shop where hubby works closed Thursday. We had kind-of been anticipating that happening ever sense the owner's wife died last year. He only has about one more week of work left to get out and then ... poof! He has let all but one guy go already ... he needs the other man to help him get the promised jobs finished. The biggest hassel will be our insurance. Help us pray about this. We've been married over 40 years and this is a first!
I told hubby Monday I had to lose 10 pounds. I tried on one of my spring suits and the skirt (straight) was really tight. So when he came home and told me that Thur. eve. I told him he had really motivated me. I said for one thing, I can't afford new clothes now  and for another, we can cut down on groceries and eating out if I go on a strict diet. He just rolled his eyes! :p |
So sad Meme-I pray that his great skills will help him get another job.And that you don't worry too much,
We had quite a day getting ready yesterday. It all culminated last night when we swapped cars and when the third row went up, it was wet under it. So we are airing it out now and I used fabreze. Prayers that we are ok-the car has 149,000 miles but it is a Honda. Then the car seats!! The infant seat was broken so we could only get one from Jill so off to Walmart to buy one and also get a pump for the air mattress. We left the other one at home . Turns out that Keith is not in an infant seat so I would have had to do that. I got Debbie a car seat for 30$. I wanted to get one anyway for back home. That's the story and I'm sticking to it.Bye for now Mima |
I got lost when we changed threads. Silly me.
I am not doing well these days. I had to go to the ortho surgeon for a follow up with my arm. Arm is fine and asked him to look at my knees...which hurt so much I can barely walk some days. As if my list of problems wasn't long enough he added a new one....chondrmalacia of the petalla. From what he told me that means my knee caps are off center and don't do what they are suppose to. I begged for a shot of cortisone. No such luck. He told me to take Tylenol Arthritis...which is like eating candy. I saw my doc and he has agreed that I should go to the pain clinic....soonest appointment was JUNE. I have been put on a cancellation list and have been moved to May. My doc said he will give me all the Loratab I need. Geesh thanks. I have had to quit bowling. I have to pay whether I bowl or not and I have been missing more than I have bowled. Season is almost over. I am not going to bowl summer season. Hope everyone is well |
Hey There
Well girls I had a Great Birthday. I think my kids spent way too much. They are working and I guess I feel that they should watch their money.. my son and Daughter-in law gave me a lovely two piece dress and jewelry and a few other things. my daughter gave me a new pocket book with money in the pockets and giftcertificates, sun catchers, and books. My G/children gave me cd's and sun catcher for my kitchen window... They cooked a big dinner. Too much food. I gained 3 lbs. Now I have to starve it off.I ruined my morning getting on the scale today.
Chris- you can always find us at the 3 fat chicks site..The Dr's don't give the cortisone much anymore. It distroys tissue and really doesn't heal.My son's wife gave me jar of SOMBRA that she gets at her chiropractor. It is for Arthritis pain.(Natural pain reliever). I have oa in every joint and esp my knees. I used it last night. It really helped a lot. Meme- Too bad about your hubby losing his job. It is not easy for a man in middle years to get into a new workplace. He will probably find something and it may be better than the last.God always has a plan. Mima- Enjoy your trip... It is always nice to go away with family. Tammy- Yes, you had the right date ..Thank You... I hope you are have a Great time in your retirement.. The one thing I like the most is getting up when I want and doing only what I want to during the day..I don't let anyone commit me to anything..Too many years of that. Hello Happy.. It should be warning up in your area..It was 80 here yesterday.. Joanne |
Glad you had a good bd, Joanne. Very nice. The older I get, the more my kids spoil me -comes with the territory. I guess.
We had a good time at Disney-pooped out at 4 so we left and finally got kome at 10. The bad gramma-me-did something stupid. I undid Keith's safety strap and he fell through the carriage-his head was stuck and he was screaming . I was alone with the 2 kids at the parade. I begged tis man to help me-he was so nice -he turned Keith's head and got him unstuck. I was trying to keep my eye on Debbie at the same time and she was watching the parade in a huge crowd of people. PTL. Brett is checking out other states to move to and TN is one of them . He works in the plastic industry and wonders about employment and the cost of housing. Bye for now-everyone is up. Mima |
Where is everybody? Are you all busy, sick or just lazy? :p
Had an eye dr. app. this afternoon. He did a pressure test ... 15 which is good & a peripheral vision test. Said it was the best he'd done all day ... then he looked at me and laughed and said but his other patients all day had been twice my age. I didn't say anything because drs. do that to me all the time. They NEVER read my chart and see that I'm almost 60 yrs. old. I almost told him I was amazed that he would have that many 120 yr. old patients! ;) I just laughed with him and let him believe I'm a young chick! :D I have a headache from the vision tests and the lights. Does it every time. Need to get some sleep, kids'll be here in FIVE hrs. |
Good morning, all. We are so busy!!1 Great time at beach yesterday, Took the trolley there-no parking fees. And it's free. What's new with husband.s job?
The kids are so good!!!! MimA |
Hi.
Meme - good going on the vision test. Are your eyes finally feeling better? It's hard having "energetic" children around. Hope the new meds finally help Ross to settle down. It rough on the young ones(and the old ones, even if they don't LOOK like 60) Mima - glad you are having a good time. Hope your stomach has been co-operative when you are travelling around. Joanne - belated happy birthday! Sounds like you got nice and spoiled. That's really nice for you. Hope you are feeling better. Is it HOT still. It has been fairly nice here (a few degrees above normal for this time of year). We have even been up into the 50's once last week. Might make it again on the weekend. Soon it will be Spring. I just hope it won't be a wet one. The humidity is soooo hard on my poor old bones. Chris - sorry to hear that you had to give up something you really enjoyed. These DD just take so much away sometimes. I don't know what is wrong with some Drs that they won't precribe a real pain medication. That makes me mad. I hope your pain has eased some. Sorry to be away for so long, but I got hit with a nasty virus. Started with a sore throat and progressed from there. I am FINALLY back in the land of the living:D I guess Tammy is away until the weekend. I hope they are having a nice time. Well, I am heading for a cup of coffee. Hope you all have a nice evening. |
