Joanne, happy belated birthday.

Meme, I would have asked the doc how many 120 year old patients does he have. Just something more to laugh at. I am glad all went well.

Well the ortho surgeon was out of his office till today. His nurse did call in Darvocet for me which has helped some and hasn't left me so goofy. She called back today and said he would like to go ahead and do a cortisone shot. I am really hoping for 2 but we will see what he does. I would really like an MRI to see why I am doing this. I have in the last 2 years had 3 shots of cortisone in each knee.

I don't know if I told you all about the latest additions to the family. CRS these days big time. For Valentine's Day Larry got me a parakeet from Petsmart. He is young and I am still not sure if he is a he or she. It looks like he just might be a he. A lady on Freecycle was giving away a cockatiel and I now own him. He had no name ....so he has been named Lucky (lucky to find his way to my home....the wasn't well cared for. His cage was a mess. He has only been fed treat sticks which is bird junk food.) I am still struggling to get him to eat better food.

I have been keeping one of their cage doors open at a time. Lucky usually will come out of his cage fly around the room for a quick fly and then crawl around the outside of his cage and go back in. Charlie has never come out of his cage on his own....till today. He flew around the room a bit then landed on Lucky's cage. He crawled around the outside of it and then went in for a visit. They got along well. Charlie had some of Lucky's seed and it seems to have helped Lucky...he has actually eaten a little of it. We put Charlie back in his cage.

I really would like an aviary to house both of them and allow them more flight. Larry seems to think he can make one and mentioned it tonight and said well someone has a birthday coming up. Soo maybe I will have one soon.

Hope everyone is doing well.

Lost my post!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Later Mima

CarebearsChris 03-16-2007 08:24 AM

Yesterday I had a mole on my arm removed. It didn't look like any of the brown spots on my arm (I have a tonof freckles). This one was white and had jagged edges. Dr thought it was best that he did a biopsy of it. So here I sit with a stitch in my arm and it hurting like the dickens. After my appointment I had to run errands. I only had to come back to the house twice for things I forgot to get. I spent most of the day out and I am exhausted today. I had to get up early this morning becasue last night I forgot to get our mail order drugs together so I can mail then in. Needed to get up before the mail man got here at 9. Now I am ready to crawl back in bed. Have a good day everyone.

Mima 03-16-2007 02:00 PM

Hi there-bd party at Mike's tonight but we are Bringing all the food. Bye for now-Mima with IBS today-who says it's not stress related.

Happy Canuk 03-17-2007 11:41 AM

Hi. Where the heck is everybody?? I don't think I have EVER seen this board this slow. Joanne, Meme???

Chris - hope you are feeling better now. Those darn moles removals do hurt when they put the stitch in there.

Mima - Hope you had fun at the BD last night. I sure hope your tummy was not and is not giving you a bunch of grief.

Hi Meme and Joanne, wherever you are. Tammy will be back this weekend as well, I think.

It is going to be a beautiful day - up into the 50's! Spring is Springing, but it always takes awhile for it to get rolling. It won't take long for the snow to be gone. Soon, we will be having spring rain and that will clean up a lot of stuff. Don't want rain yet, as it would be "freezing rain" and we sure don't need that.

Everybody have a nice day.

Joanne D 03-17-2007 06:57 PM

Hey There

Happy- Right here...Just been a little busy.. I think we are having our last cool gasp. It will be cool tomorrow and then warm again.. But, you never know this has been a crazy year.
We went out for late lunch/early supper. I ate all wrong.. It has been a struggle with my weight lately..
Tomorrow I plan to get up early and go to a church with my sister. My son belongs to that church. I am not sure about this but I will give it a try. It is Baptist. I was there once and it was nice. I am just not sure about going with my sister. She can be hard to be around on a steady basis. She means well but knows it all.She thinks. At least I will see my son. Maybe she will be on her best behavior.
I thought Tammy was back..Hello Meme,Mima...Yes Ibs is caused by stress. Look for me to be complaining this week..
Have a Good Weekend Everybody
Joanne

MemeToo 03-18-2007 02:42 AM

I have been running around in circle, chasing my tail, getting nothing done ... can't even catch my tail (and you'd think, as big as it is, I could at least do that!) So ... that's my story and I'm sticking to it. :p And you probably won't be 'seeing' much of me for a week or two ... taxes!

'Baby' Jenna was 8 today. Doesn't seem possible, does it? It was a crazy day. I was swamped with customers. Had 3 out there at one time. They started showing up at 8:30 this morning and hubby had gone to workday at church. I finally had to call him home at 11. A man needed a brake plug changed and two more people pulled in the drive way about that time ... I was about ready to run in the house and lock all the doors and close the blinds. I sold 3 before he got home and he sold another one after he got home. He sold 2 yesterday, too. We usually do pretty good in the spring. He has several possible job offers. Two in management. We're still praying about it. He wants to make sure he makes the right move. He's still trying to get things closed up at the shop. He'll probably be there most of next week. Insurance will be the big motivator in moving to another place.

Well, need to get to bed ... another long day tomorrow. Hope you are all feeling better & have a good Sunday. Hope you enjoy the new church, Joanne. Your sister sounds a lot like my mom was ... not fun to be around most of the time. I'm so glad we found a good church close to home.

Mima 03-18-2007 06:01 AM

Joanne-hope you are comfortable in that church-there must be something there -your son got baptized in that church. How far is it. ?
Love it back home when there are so many Smiths in church but that is not the reason we like it. Gail and Brad, Brad's sister and her husband, Brett, Angela and 2 kids, Grandaughter Leah and Isaiah and whoever else shows up. We love the Pastor and the doctrine.
The kids got to the train fine-we are so tired, can you imagine us driving 7 hours to take them-3 and a half each way.
Went to the picnic-all I could eat was chicken. I ate a small roll. Stomache is a little bad.
Driving to Tampa tonight to meet people who Brad knew when he was younger-it's an annual event. Steak and Ale-love that place. This time I printed out the directions to go back so we won't get lost. Wound up in Pinellas Park one time-Joanne knows where that is.
I had such a hard time with Brett's way of dealing with Debbie and his negativity, I can see where it comes from but he doesn't realize what he is doing. Brad is going to have a talk with him when he gets home. I grew up in an abusive home so it makes me crazy and I can't stand to see kids verbally abused. The kids were wonderful when they were here. My gf says that it's not that some people are mean-it's that they are ignorant-I mean of what they are doing.
I guess it's our job to correct. I see some of it in Brad but I sure speak up-the negativity I mean.
Oh well-have a great day-Mima

Tammy 03-18-2007 06:44 AM

Good morning all!! We arrived home last night, and I haven't had time to get on here. We had a great time! I'll read posts and post more later. Missed you guys!!

Tammy 03-18-2007 09:19 PM

I am so mad!!!!! I typed quite a bit and it is gone. It told me I wasn't allowed to do that. I had logged in, so why not? FRUSTRATION!!!!!!!!

I will have to try again tomorrow. Too upset to do it now.

Mima 03-19-2007 06:16 AM

been there,done that.
WE had a great time in Tampa but sure had a hard time finding the place. The yahoo map left us in the middle of the city and we drove around for quite a while as Brad got more and nore frustrated, Ended up in a complex with a gate and there were 2 angels disguised as security guards who gave us the directions. We should have prayed sooner. Got home ok.
Need more sleep but Brad and I are so glad to be alone.
Hope you had a good trip Tammy. And how was church, Joanne.
Later-Mima

Joanne D 03-19-2007 06:59 PM

Hey There

Mima- Church was ok. Although they didn't have a sermon ,but, a missionary was there to speak about his mission work. They had a pot luck lunch after. I will go back . It is about 20 minutes away but. I think I may like it... Our son and DIL go there. That is a added bonus. I will try to get hubby to go but I don't hold up a lot of hope.
I went to mall today with sister and a lady friend of hers. We had lunch and shopped. I got a new pair of shoes with the card my daughter gave me for my BD.I am really tired. My back and legs are screaming.
Tammy- I hope you had a good trip. I wish I could go away to a beach and just sit ,read, and do nothing.. Not likely to happen this year..With the puppy and her not really house broke yet it would be hard.
Meme- After getting up so early for a few mornings ,I will go back to bed after I take christy out in the morning for a couple more hours.. I need the rest.
Hello Happy- We are looking for Spring.. It will come and go so fast we won't know it..Then it will be HOT.
Joanne

Tammy 03-19-2007 09:33 PM

OK. I am going to try this again. It's hard to type with my fingers crossed!!

Mima, glad that Disney was a fun trip for everyone. I am ready to go again. I could handle a $40 gift card to Perkins! Haven't been there in ages, but I always like it.

Meme, so sorry to hear about hubby's job. We'll keep you in our prayers and hope that a new position with good insurance and a good location will arise for him. I think your doctor was right! You are a young chick!!

Chris, a friend of mine recently had surgery on her knees because of the same problem that you have. She is doing much better now, and she regrets not having the surgery years ago. When will you get the results of the mole biopsy? Prayers are headed your way that it will be fine. Love it about the parakeet and the cockatiel! We had a parakeet when we were kids, and it would whistle songs that we would whistle around it. My grandparents had one that would call of the names of all of the grandchildren (30 of them), and it would also use the names in sentences. Sometimes it would get confused and include me with some of the boys who were told to "Go out and play ball, Ricky, Jimmy, Bobby, and Tammy!!" Don't know why I would get included there.

Joanne, I am so glad that you had a great birthday!! Being spoiled can be a good thing!! I'm like you with the retirement. I want to do what I want to do when I want to do it. Today I didn't do much of anything. lol It was in the upper 70's and lower 80's at Jekyll Island. Absolutely beautiful!

Anne, I hope you are recovering from that virus. Any illnesses just knock me out for a few days anymore. I hope your spring will arrive and be dry with NO freezing rain!!!

Jekyll Island was wonderful!! No complaints from any of us. We walked on the beach, played putt-putt, read books, went through some shops. Bob and I checked out places for monthly rentals for next winter. The place we stayed this year was one we had looked at a year ago Christmas. We looked at several more, and we had it narrowed down to this one and another one where we stayed several summers ago. There was one more to look at, and Bob really didn't want to check it out. It was the last one in the line of hotels, and it is more of a condo type. All the units are individually owned, so they are all decorated differently.

I convinced him to go, and I am sooooooooooo glad we did. So was he!! We looked at a 1 bedroom villa, and it was so nice! We decided to go talk about all the places. The next day we went back to that one to look at a different unit. It was just as nice as the first one. Well, we filled out an application to rent one of the villas next February. We put a down payment on it. There is a restaurant and lounge, a fitness room, bike rental, picnic tables and grills, pool on site. We won't be able to see the ocean from what we'll have, but we can walk around the building to see it. That will save us some $$$. The villa has a full kitchen, which was one thing we wanted and most of the others didn't have. I'm ready to go now!!

Tammy 03-19-2007 09:35 PM

I was smart. I copied my post in case it did it again. When I pressed post quick replay, it said I wasn't logged in again. Have any of you had that problem? Wonder if it will happen this time?

CarebearsChris 03-19-2007 10:33 PM

Tammy it sounds like you had a wonderful trip.

I got the biospy results back this morning. It was nothing. YAY! One worry gone but in my life I replace one worry with 2 or 3 more. This afternoon I saw the ortho surgeon. When he came into the room, he asked me how was I doing. Kinda dumb question. If I was fine I certainly wouldn't be there wanting injectinos in my knees. As I was telling him what was going on I ended up in tears. He said I can tell you are really hurting. Of course 3 days ago my arm started hurting again. He did give me a cortisone injection in both knees. I asked if we should do an MRI. He wants to wait. I told him this was my 3rd shot in the left knee and 2nd in the right. Plus I have had arthoscopic surgery on the left before. I know what that catching in the knee means. He said that he would like to see what this does first. He thinks since he is an orthopedic PA that he is giving the injections in more of the right spot and manner than my GP. Ok I can give him that. He really wants to wait on the arm. He said there was no way he was giving me a 3rd injection today. He gave me more Darvocet and said if I needed more to let him know. If the pain in the knees doesn't go away I am to call him. If the pain in the arm gets worse I am to call him. He said that as a group, Roanoke Orthopedic, leases the Advance Imagining Center Tuesdays and Thrusdays. So if I have continued pain I am to call him and he said he can get me in for a MRI real quick. As he was doing the injections I was crying again. Not that it hurt that bad...after all of them that have had they don't both me anymore. I guess I was just crying because I let him know about all the pain I was in. He said please stop or you will have me crying too. The nurse came and cleaned my knees up and give me the prescription. As I was walking out (or should I say limping out) the PA was in the next room and had the door open. He excused himself from that patient so he could come ask me again if I was alright and to tell me if I needed anything at all to call him. Shortly after I got home the phone rang and it was the PA. He wanted to make sure I made it home ok and to tell me he wanted me to have some labs drawn. Most likely the arthritis panel and sed rates. He is going to mail the lab slip to me and I can just go over to my doc's office and have them drawn.
Well time for some more pain pills and off to bed I go.

Mima 03-20-2007 06:36 AM

Oh Chris-I am sorry you are in so much pain. I was like that when I first came down with fibro in my 40's. I felt like Job in the bible. now I jusr hurt all over but it's not intense. The cortosone will work and I agree about reg. docs not hitting the right spot.
We are so geared up to go to Jamaica next week. Isaac called yesterday-the mission is in Montego bay and we are going to Ocho Rio-he tpld us to. So we will ahve to take a shuttle. He sent a list of what they need so I forwarded it to the Sunday school/ he also wants seaweed so we will freeze some. to take,
I lose my posts but I have a laptop and hit the wrong button-the keyboard is smaller .
Oh-it's so nice to be alone. My body hurts so much-swim today and the whirlpool to see if it helps!!!
catching up=put away 5 loads of laundry. We are leaving in a month so brad is thinking about that.
Hope you are good, Anne and Meme. Bye Mima

CarebearsChris 03-20-2007 09:22 AM

Thanks, Mima. I haven't hurt this much in a couple of years. I was first diagnosised with FM in 2002. I had a real bad flare up then and again in 2004 Oh what I would give for just one pain free day. I have to go to Walmart and get some meds then I am coming home and going back to bed.

MemeToo 03-20-2007 04:54 PM

Tammy, glad you had a good vacation. Yes, I have lost posts and 3fc has been telling me I'm not logged in sometimes. If I have a really long post, I usually copy it and paste it in documents. I have a place named 3fc at the beginning of my documents where I save long posts right before I post them. That way if they don't post I still have them. Just takes a couple of seconds to do that.

Sorry you are hurting so bad, Chris. I've had a stomach virus ... have good friends who just have to share that stuff with me! ;) Got it Sunday and have been throwing up and aching and all that good stuff ever since. Glad your biopsy was ok, though.

Mima, glad you are getting some alone time. It's hard being with people all the time. I had g-kids last week ... school was out. I was glad to see them go - even though I love them. That missionary trip will be hard on you. How long will you be gone?

Joanne, I know what you mean about the puppy. I'm having a time with Ginger. She's getting to the 'rambunctious' stage now. She's not really wild like Nikka was ... just normal puppy stuff. Like you said Christy is. Playing in her water and things like that. Just stuff all puppies do. She will occassionally tear up a puppy pad or turn over her food if I go off and leave her alone too long and I know it's because she just gets bored staying in there alone for so long. She's not bad or anything. Just normal. She still isn't completely trained either ... she was just 3 mos. old March 10th (hubby keeps reminding me how young she is!) I think I am expecting too much of her. I've just been feeling so bad lately ... I haven't felt like fooling with her much. As soon as it gets warm I'm going to start taking her outside more and try to get her to go potty in the yard instead of on the pads. We've hit another cool spell here.

Anne, hope you are feeling ok. I've got to get over this virus and get our taxes done. It's crunch time!

What happened to Candice??? I miss her!

Mima 03-21-2007 06:01 AM

Yeah-where are you Candice. ? Feel better-get some probiotics into your system-Activia for one. Boy, Anne , you were right on. I have some in my Fibersmart.
Oh dear, my hair frosting was extreme-and it was my fault-told her almost heavy and very light. She said she could correct it. But I have to wait til sat,.And it was so expensive -$81 with the haircut. Where is my Carla-not that I haven't had problems at home. Maybe I should go to the foil. More control.
We are all going to paint a dolphin today while the teacher demonstrates.
I know Jamaica will be hard-Isaac sent a list of stuff to bring for the missions and the Sunday school will give us a $ 100 to pay. We have to borrow a suitcase to bring it. Isaac said he could be at the airport to pick it up,
My back hasn't recovered yet from last week. Brad is still tired.
Happy Spring!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 Mima

Tammy 03-21-2007 06:07 AM

Chris, what a relief with the biopsy, but what a problem with the other issues!! I hope things will turn around for you soon, and you will be out of so much pain.

Mima, I'm sure you'll have lots to report about the Jamaican trip! What an opportunity to serve!!

Meme, good idea about saving the posts!! How nice of your friends to share their virus! NOT!! Hope you will feel better soon.

Our realtor called yesterday, and we should have a closing on the old house by April 9!! We're getting my brothers and their families together there for one last fling the last weekend of the month. Pizza and just remembering the many years we lived there. My parents bought the house in 1966, so it's been in the family for quite a while. I'm sure I'll cry the last time I walk out of it.

CarebearsChris 03-21-2007 09:54 AM

Morning. Thanks for all the well wishes.

My right knee is much better today. Left one is a different story. It still hurts and is grinding when I walk. I feel totally wiped out. Still not sleeping real well. Yesterday afternoon and this morning (from 6 am to 9 am) I laid in bed. Didn't sleep just laid there. I don't have the energy to do much. I am living on pain pills. But for the first time in over a month I am actually losing weight again. Sunday is my official weigh in day (I do it at home) but I step on the scales every morning. The number is getting smaller every day.

Hope everyone has a good Day

Tammy 03-21-2007 02:38 PM

Chris, I've been having trouble with the pain lately too. I keep thinking it could be the weather changes. I do know that while we were in Georgia, I had very little pain. Some days I can sleep so well, and the next day I can't leep at all.
Congrats on losing more!! Woo hoo!! I have been at about the same weight for so long. I go up and down the same 2 pounds. Since we've been back, my exercise has been little or nothing. Food has been ok. I need to get in the groove again.

I actually had windows open here today. It's in the 60's, so I thought I could blow out some of the stink. lol Bob was at the other house getting some things out of the garage before we have the closing. He came home and the breeze was blowing through here. He made a comment about how cold it was! He had on jeans, a long sleeved shirt, a sweatshirt, and a jacket. I'm in short sleeves, no shoes, and jeans.

Joanne D 03-21-2007 06:56 PM

Hey There

Tammy- It is 79 here today.. My windows are open too. I think the dog will have to start panting before hubby turns on the air..
Meme- Christie is getting better but we still have a ways to go.. She will be 6 months this week. Still a baby..I swear sometimes I think she is trying to talk to me. I have said no so many times she should be able to say that.
Mima- Have a good time on your trip. Don't do too much and get sick and hurting.
Chris- I bet you are going to have pain until the surgeon decides you need a new knee. I had my right knee done 14 years ago and never regreted it.My left knee is not good but I won't do that untill I have to.
Hello Happy...Joanne

CarebearsChris 03-21-2007 07:06 PM

I am going to call the PA tomorrow and let him know that the left knee is still bothering me. I am hoping he will do the next step and do the MRI. I will let you know when I can the return call.

Tammy 03-21-2007 09:29 PM

Chris, my brother stopped today and said the man he teaches with had his right knee replaced yesterday, and he will have the left knee replaced in 6 weeks. Keep us posted on how it goes.

Joanne, I laughed about your hubby and the dog panting. I'm surprised Bob didn't turn the heat on today when I had the windows open!!

Mima 03-22-2007 05:22 AM

Husbands and wives do not agree on the heat or the air.
Half the people in my Art class were coughing and I am wheezing big time today. WE are all painting the same pic of dolphins. Finish next week.
Glad you are losing weight again, Chris. that will encourage you. I will pray.
Up at 4-not good, When I wake up early I get up-then I go back to bed.
So glad about the house tammy. When my mother was selling her house, we were upset and then my kids were upset with me when I sold. Couldn't afford it-besides I didn't have a clue then that I would remarry and live in another house. And then buy one here, modest as it is.
Have a great day-Mima 84 down here!!!!!!

Tammy 03-22-2007 07:53 AM

Amen about husbands and wives agreeing!! We saw several dolphins while we were gone last week. So pretty and graceful. I was up early too, but I haven't been back to bed yet. I need to go get dressed and just go for a walk. It's over 60 and it isn't raining yet. We had offered the house to my brothers, but they weren't interested. I think if Tim was older and was working in the area, he would have been interested, but that's a few years down the road and who knows where he will end up working.

I am meeting some teachers this afternoon after school just to chat. Then I'm meeting some others next Tuesday for the same reason. I do miss seeing and talking to them. We keep in touch with email though. We have set a day each month starting in April when we will try to get together. Hoping to continue over the summer and into next year. One of the women I'm meeting tonight is retiring at the end of the year, and I know she wants to keep in contact with everyone also. Lots of friends over 30 years at the same school.

Hope you all have a wonderful day!!

Happy Canuk 03-22-2007 10:49 AM

Good morning ladies.

Mima - I hope you are feeling better as the day goes on. Spring seems to bring out the worst in people, as the temps are up and down. I hope you enjoy your trek to Jamacia and that your stomach will behave ok for you while you are there.

Tammy - glad you and your family had a great trip. Sounds really nice. Now, next year is looked after as well. That is the part of working I missed so much, was the social contact., so it is nice that you will keep in touch.

Chris- glad the shots helped you out some. Also, the biopsy news was good news. Congrats on starting to lose weight again. I need a big kick in the butt to get me started again.

Joanne - Glad you found a church you like. Those little puppies become like babies when you have so much to do with them. One day they grow up and all your hard work will have paid off.

Meme - Puppies are so darn cute. If I stayed home more, I would have one, but I don't want to put it in a kennel and I would have nobody to look after it here. So, we just chose not to have anymore pets when we moved from our home. I hope you are feeling better Meme. Mine is still hanging on, but I don't feel to bad. It the sinuses that are causing the problem now.

I have my taxes done and sent in. I should get the refund in a couple of weeks. I ALWAYS like a refund!! Also, sent in all my receipts for medication, chiro, massage etc, so that should be back in a couple of weeks as well.

WooHoo! I got my Passport yesterday, so I am happy about that. I went shopping the day I picked up my Passport (wasn't home when they brought it, so I had to go to the postal outlet and it is in the Mall). Wasn't planning on buying anything, but came home with a pair of pants, shoes, a new top, AND a great carry on tote for the plain.

I have been working 2 full days a week and that seems to be enough for me. I can go in and do data entry whenever I want, but with that flu, it kind of took the wind out of my sails. Maybe next week, I will go put in a couple of hours a day doing that.

Hope you all have a good day. I am meeting my cousin for lunch today. She's taking me out for my birthday, which is tomorrow. I might even bnreak down and have something GOOD!!!!:o

I can't believe you people are just opening your windows and it's 60 degrees outside. I open mine when it is below 0!!! I can't stand a stale house. That is one good thing about living in a cold climate. When it is -30 it kills off a LOT of bacteria. Anyway, we are heading in the 60 degree temps on the weekend. I just find I hurt a lot more during the Spring than the Winter months.

Tammy 03-22-2007 01:00 PM

Anne, tax refunds are nice! When we got back from out trip, our check had been deposited in our checking account. That was nice!! You did great on your shopping trip!!

Happy Birthday tomorrow to you!!

As for the windows, the only way I was able to open mine then was because Bob wasn't home!! lol He thought I was crazy when he came home.

Mima 03-23-2007 06:18 AM

I need the conditioned air!
Happy Birthday, Anne. Boy, they keep coming don't they. have a good lunch.
Things keep heating up for Jamaica. Only allowed one bag each now. May buy a new suitcase today-borrowed one but it's too small.
Brad went to harbor Freight and there was a great shoe store there-bought some nw Clark's sandals-My shoes HAVE to be comfortable and it's hard to find my size!!!!
I want a cotton skirt for church in Jamaica.
Going to flea market this morning and Korean store to get Isaac's seaweed.
And BJ's tonight because Mike wants to get stuff for a lunch he is catering on Sunday.
Busy! But I swam yesterday, and we walked last night,Had a dream about Idol.
In the beginning, I saw people I taught with bit 8 years later, I see some of the retired ones. And I have a whple new bunch from scoring the teacher test. I sure know what you mean. Tammy.
Bye for now Mima

CarebearsChris 03-23-2007 08:33 AM

Happy birthday, Anne.

Mima, when are you going to Jamica.

As if I don't have enough going on health wise. I have been having hot flashes. I had my hysterectomy almost 7 years ago and I haven't been on hormones for 2 years. These hot flashes are worse then I had back then. I get so hot I start to sweat. Last night I got weak and light headed with it. Usually our doc has evening hours. Of course last night they were closed. I have made an appointment and see the doc at 11. They hadn't bothered me till last night. Who knows what is going on now.

Hey There

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY "Happy............Yes the puppy's do turn into babies. This one is trying to chew the molding off the door frames.. The son gave me a spray that is supposed to stop that. She is just too curious. She still wants to go after it.I had a nice sheppard once. He chewed the wallpaper off the kitchen wall.I soon gave him to the police department. He was pure breed. Some family got a good dog.. He was one my son brought home. He was just too much for me to handle.
Your weather is just too cold for me.
Our taxes are done and mailed. No refund ,we always have to pay..
Mima- I found a great skirt in Az.Indian print, I finally hemed it and wore it after 3 years. It was just too long. I took off 4 inches and it is just above ankles a couple inches.
Chris- Hot flashes are no fun. We all have them at one time or other. Get yourself some soy products.. Milk, cheese, burgers, etc. I always feel natural is best..They will help in your weight loss too.
Tammy- My hubby has been on a saving kick... I told him today that it wasn't good for heart patients to live with the heat.. If it gets to 80 and above he will see me turning on the air. He can gripe all he wants.I like to open the windows and air out the house too. I don't like to be chilled..or hot..
Hello Meme-Christie isn't going to turn over her food. She eats it too fast. She is going to get into everything she can.. I still keep her confined to kitchen .We let her into living room for short periods untill she starts getting into things.. Another few months should make things better..

Good morning-talk about a dog chewing-My Lab, shepherd,akida-chewed the mailbox off the front door-he would go crazy when the mailman came and I was at work. The frame off the bathroom door-the window sills. When I sold my house I had to pay big bucks for the repairs.
I still feel achy-my sinuses are clogged.I need to get bettter-we are leaving Thursday plus Evan is staying over Monday night.
Went shopping for the stuff for the missions. Got everything except diabetic test strips. Didn;t know what kind but I will be back in Walmart for sure.
Going to the Golden Corral for lunch-a treat by the neighbors. Brad does a lot for them . They are so nice-Callie is 83. They come from Sevierville TN-Their son builds those beautiful cabins there. He bought them their house here and pays some of their bills.
Bye for now-Mima who also has new sneakers.

Returned last night from a weekend away with my best friends. It was a retirement gift from them to me, and we had so much fun. Lots of shopping and laughing of course. The only downside was the cottage we stayed in. It really needed a good cleaning. The floors needed swept and mopped. Now the tub, toilet, sinks, kitchen appliances were clean, but the floors needed help. The bed and sofa bed weren't comfortable either. BUT we had a great time. I'm blessed to have Carol and Melissa as friends.

Chris, hot flashes was one of our discussions over the weekend. I have night sweats, and I am sometimes warm, but I really haven't had what I would call any hot flashes. Hope you find out what is going on with yours.

Joanne, we also talked about soy products. I have tried different soy burgers, and I just really haven't found one that I like. How does the soy milk taste? I don't drink milk, but I do use it on cereal. It is supposed to be 78 today, so the windows are opening.

Mima, hope the sinueses clear up for you before the trip. I like Golden Corral, and I think we passed Sevierville on our way home last week from GA. I liked your gratitude list!! I slept about 8 hours last night, and it has been ages since I have done that. I guess the weekend wore me out.

I bought a purple gazing ball and a stand for it. We had talked about it last summer, but I never got around to it. When we walked into a shop on Sat. I saw one, and I didn't get it. We went back yesterday afternoon and I bought it. Also bought some sweet and hot mustard that we sampled. It was yummy!

I'm going to go trim up some dead things out behind the house later, and I have water aerobics tonight. Need to watch the food intake after eating out all weekend.

Have a great Monday!

It is nice to get away with friends..I get away now and then with my best friend. My daughter..I have some TOPS friends and my sister Eleni.. We go out to lunch once a month and on special dinners for Tops.
Hello Everybody...Joanne

Tammy 03-26-2007 10:28 PM

Do those burgers come in different flavors? I'll have to try the soy milk.
I'm meeting a few teachers tomorrow after school for supper. They have a parent meeting tomorrow night, and instead of going home and coming back, they are staying in town. I'm sure we'll have fun.

Water aerobics was fun tonight. I'm really glad that I am doing that.

Mima 03-27-2007 05:43 AM

I am food sensitive to soy-what else is new, I was taking a substitute for Prempro and feeling awful-found out it was soy-based. Now I take my hormones even though I am taking a risk.
Mr. Evan who will not eat is here-no supper but 5 peanut butter and crackers last night. A little whimper when he went to bed. Love that boy!! Almost 3.
Got him some great clothes at Beall's outlet yesterday-plus a skirt and blouse for me to wear to church in Jamaica.
Boy it's hot here. I am feeling better but not yesterday after a Dairy Queen the night before.
Got Isaac some test strips on E-bay-16.69 with shipping. $45 in Walmart!!!!
For the mission.
2 more days. Getting nails and feet done today. Oh vanity!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hope you feel better Chris-I have been praying.
Mima

Tammy 03-27-2007 11:07 AM

Mima, I can relate to a boy that likes pb and crackers!! Glad you were able to find some clothes for church in Jamaica. It's supposed to be in the 70s again today. Windows are open and I've already been out in the yard doing some things. I rest often because of aches and pains. Dairy Queen sounds yummy.
LOL to the nails and feet!

We had roadrunner installed on Friday, and I've been on the phone with technical support 3 times with them. Someone will be here Friday morning to see what is going on because it only works some of the time. Right now I am using the old dial up. They won't start charging us until it is working correctly.

Hey There

Tammy- There are other kinds of soy burgers. This is the brand I found to be the best. The soy milk is 8th continent..I have gone back to south beach diet for a while so I am not eating cereal or the milk..I needed to do something to kick my weight down. I want to lose another 10 lbs..I was beginning to sneak up again.
Mima- I had to stop taking harmones years ago. I have a clot problem.I lost bottom r/lobe of my lung.. Dr. said I must have a Angel on my shoulder.. I should be dead. The clot lodged in my lung. It was too large to pass through.I have loved Angels ever since.Have a great time on your trip.
