  • I just gave Ginger a bath today and fluffed her fur out. Thought I'd make a couple of pictures of her after that but she was such a little ham in front of the camara I kind-of got carried away! She looks bigger than she is ... it's all that fur! She needs a haircut. (Plus ... don't they say the camara adds about 10 pounds?)

  • What a cutie!!!!Meme-I am so proud of you-people always think someone else will do it.
What a service last night-all music.I should have told you so you could log on.We went to DQ after and I had ice cream-oh I am aching but it tasted good.
Anne-there are some other probiotics out-That Fibersmart has probiotics so it is definitely worth the money. But that's only if you get constipated.
Heard form the pastor who said Praise the Lord!!! And no preaching.
We took 8 packets to deliver to people who weren't at church. Have to look up addresses. All about prayer and fasting to get ready for new building. This is going to be a busy week!!!!!!
I think it's going to rain today-my kids have their tickets to come down!!!!!Sure hope they go to church with us-that would be awesome.
    Bye for now, Mima
  • Hey There
The puppy is so cute.. Mine is growing. There is nothing she won't put in her mouth.. I am constantly digging something out of her mouth. Rocks, shells flowers, sticks, paper clips etc.
Still feeling lousy. I am about to say I can't take this medication for colesterol. I keep hoping the symtoms (sp) will go away.
I will be 74 on the 10th of March.. I wonder if it is worth it to feel so bad..Everybody thinks I am old as dirt anyhow.
The weather is really nice now. No ac or heat needed. It is supposed to rain but I see little signs of it.
Delagate Meme- That is the answer. Hope it lasts beyond one week.
    Back Later..Hello All. Joanne
  • Hi Joanne-I think lots of meds have side effects.Mine usually give me pains in the stomache. Right now I am taking macrodantin and it gives you bladder pain!!!! Hope you feel better. I have been tired lately but there is stress in telling people-mostly family and Catholic friends-about me joining the Baptist church. I need to get to the point where I don't care what people think. It's between me and God.
We delivered some packets for the church yesterday and need to deliver 5 more this morning. Brad drives and I find the house. what a team. We prayed last night about how much money to pledge the church for the new building and WE BOTH came up with the same amount separately!!!!!!You don't have to sign a pledge card-it's between you and God!!!
It's muggy down this way, Joanne. Hope my meds come today or I will be out of hormones-that could be bad!!!!!!for Brad,
    Bye for now Mima
  • Meme, Ginger is just too precious!! I want to cuddle her.

Mima, DQ sounds good!! I agree that your decision is between you and God. Don't worry about what others think. They aren't in your position, and they haven't had the experiences that you've had to help you make your decision. That is too cool that you and Brad came up with the same amount to pledge!!

Joanne, I'm sorry to hear that you are feeling up to par yet. A friend of ours quit smoking several years ago for health reasons. He said when he turns 75, he is going to start smoking again.

Tim emailed yesterday that his temp was back to 97.6 (his normal), and also to say that he had eaten 2 soft tacos, a couple of muffins, and something else during the day. That's more than he has eaten any day in the past week. It's so good to know that he's feeling better. He has a makeup test this afternoon from last week. I'm sure he'll do better on it today than he would have done on Friday.

Meeting a couple friends for our Emmaus Share Group this afternoon. Tomorrow is the last day for me at school, so a few of us are going out for dessert and drink right after school. I can't believe it's here!!!
  • Hey There
Mima- Between you and God is all that matters. I feel that it isn't the name of the church or the religion ,it is what you find inside the church. I haven't been to church for 3 weeks. I haven't felt good but, to tell the truth I don't feel right there.I don't feel like I belong.. I have to go alone and alone is all I feel. Just a issue ,I guess I need to work out.It seems everyone has their group and outsiders are not included.
Tammy-My father died at 67 with lung cancer. Tell your friend to wait till he is 100.
We always worry when our kids are not well. My son is 48 and my daughter 50 and I still worry..They don't tell me as much anymore because I worry.
I decided to not eat after breakfast to see if it will help the indigestion.. Ate lite last night .Just some cr.chicken soup and a few craskers..I might also lose a pound!
    Hello everybody...Joanne
  • She's a very good cuddler! Soft and warm.

Weird ... it's sunny and 55 but I'm hurting so bad. I think I must've over done it last weekend, plus I 'dragged' my heel (dress shoes) as I was getting out of the van Sun. night and kind-of hurt the top of my foot and my ankle and now it is killing me. It caught on the rim where the door shuts. Probably doesn't make any sense.

I went to see the Neurologist last Friday ... he wants me to go back on Flexeril 3X day. That's so hard for me ... they make me so sleepy. He wrote me a script for half the dosage I had before and then told me to cut those in half ... take half in the morning, half in the afternoon and a whole one at night. Do that for a few weeks and then change over to a new med that is now being used a lot for fibro patients ... Lyrica. I haven't started any of it yet. I'm taking the new scripts and getting them filled tomorrow. School is out for break for 2 weeks starting next week so I won't be teaching. Guess I'll give it a try then ... won't matter if I'm a Zombie. (Unless we have a lot of customers - then I will just sell the wrong trailer at the wrong price!)

I just posted a thread with a lot of the newer meds used for fibro if anyone is intrested.
  • Joanne, I think we should live closer so we could go to church together! I also just reread my post, and I meant to say that I was sorry that you are not feeling up to par yet!! I need to start proofreading. Bob has already told Lyle not to start smoking again. Bob's brother died of cancer when he was 49. I know I could never understand why my mom worried so much, but I am just like her. Any indigestion today? WOW! Flexeril 3X a day is alot! I take it at bedtime. Even then I have trouble getting focused in the mornings sometimes. Trying the new way sounds like a good plan when school is out. As for the trailers, make sure you get more for them!!!

Went to visit my aunt and a neighbor at the nursing home down the street. They are both new there. I had never been there before, and it seems very nice compared to other nursing homes I've been in. I felt better about them being there because it was so nice.

Meme, I just read the post on the new fibro meds. I had already tried Cymbalta with no luck. OUCH to your foot! Hope it's better soon.
  • Ouch your foot is right!!! Doc gave me something but I have had so many other meds I haven't taken it.
    Last day!!!!!!Wow!!!! Have fun Tammy!
Joanne-when I am having stomache problems , I drink Walmart's generic Ensure for couple of meals to give my stomache a rest. It tastes good!!!
We drove another 2 hours to deliver those packets-had to get in a gated community in one but the person was home so they called. Then we got totally lost in this other place-it's too funny when they build houses down here in a complex-they are all painted about the same. Course, i was reading the street name wrong!!!!!!!So glad that's done,
Art today and brad has to take some freon down to mike's to put in his AC system. Church supper tonight. We need a bigger car down here-we are transporting 3 elderly-too funny!!!!!!
Well-have a great day everyone. Going to the link now-Mima
  • Good morning.

Meme - that little one is just way too cute! She is a real ham as well. I hope the Lycria works for you. A friend of mine is in a trial study right now - with Lyrica. Sometimes she has the real thing and sometimes a placebo. This med was actually made for diabetics that suffer from neuopathy. Flexeril is something I can't take. I think even a quarter of a pill would leave me feeling like a zombie, however, it does help with pain - somewhat. I hope your foot is feeling a little better.

Mima - sounds like you have been a busy gal. At least you will get to know your area

Tammy - glad that Tim is feeling better. I guess it needed to run it's course. I guess you can keep an eye on your aunt, since she is just up the street from you. Glad the place is nice.

Joanne - I hope the puppy training isn't too hard on you. It can be quite the job. Does your hubby help you out with that? I sure wish you would start to feel better. This can't be fun, feeling yukky all the time.

Yahoo! No work for me until Friday. I did work Mon and Tues. and yesterday was a really BAD day - seems for EVERYBODY! Everything I touched seemed to turn into a MESS! Some days are just that way. I am having problems with my back and it feels like a giant spasam has taken over the lower right side. I wish it would just go away!!!

It is snowing here some this morning. I wish THAT would go away as well. Well, I hope you all enjoy your day.
  • Tammy, you must be a free woman tonight. I'll bet you are out celebrating. CONGRATS!!
  • First day of retirement!!!! Wonderful~~~
Wow-I hope everyone feels better really quick-my pain of the day is asthma and a sinus headache.
Wonderful class last night on fear. Was just right for me as I tell people about my decision.
We have a meeting at 10 about the mission trip but we will stop in the office to see about my baptism first-then lunch at my friends!!!
Yup-we could start off each post with the pain of the day so we can sympathize with each other-more than we will get in the outside world. Mima
  • Hmmm ... pain of the day, huh? Have ya'll seen the weather? Seen our warnings and watches? Then you know we are getting 'dumped' on in a big way here. My poor golden is hibernating in the garage. Talking about FEAR! She is terrified of thunder. I had her up all night ... let her out for a few minutes this morning but she was begging at the basement door in no time. My pain of the day is pretty much all over today. I feel like taking my bed down there and hibernating with her!

    Congratulations, Tammy. You made it!

  • My first day has been nice. Rain, thunderstorms, dog getting me up at 5 because he's afraid of the thunder. LOL Does that sound familiar Meme? I did go back to bed though. Bob and I went to the Y and walked, then we went to the library on our way home. Nice to just spend time together, but I'm sure we'll want some time alone too.

Mima, my mom used to drink the Wal Mart Ensure. She liked it too.

Anne, hooray for you for being off till tomorrow!!

Bob and I went out for supper last night. We planned to do Mexican, but the place was packed. We ended up doing Chinese, which was good too. He had flowers and a beautiful card waiting for me when I got home from school. He can be such a sweetie. I also received flowers at school from some of the teachers. That was a surprise. The retirement party at school will be at the end of the year when the other two teachers are finished too.

I have WW in an hour. Hoping for a loss or stay the same. I do not want a gain, but I think it will be since it's about that time of month. Does that ever stop?????????????????
  • Sounds like part of a good day Tammy. I was wondering about the retirement party. I had such a fun one!!!!!My boss and another teacher roasted me.
I saw the weather,Meme. Hope it's over soon-it's freezing rain back home.
I did not have fun at lunch-the other 3 ladies are very liberal and they talked politics a lot. I sat there with my mouth closed to protect myself. Plus then they talked about books I had never heard of-I wa very uncomfortable. I like 2 of the ladies individuallly but not in a group.I probably won't do it again.
The baptism will be Sunday night.

www.mcgregorbaptist.org at 6 sharp-register early-you just need a password. The youth pastor will baptize me! It's his turn.
Ballgame tonight-hope it doesn't rain. I can stay home this morning,]
We met with the missions and we can do this trip but we need 4 more people.
    It's in God's hands.
    Bye for now-Mima
