Trish, I am glad you ate. Everything you ate was healthy and nourishing. I still track my veggies so I reach enough calories to enter on MFP. I found that I can eat 1000 calories and lose as long as carbs are below 50.

Last night before bed I put some salt on my tongue and I didn't have palpitations during the night.

I have to go take a shower. Guess where we are going!
By the way, I have recently read that full fat milk is good for blood sugar. I'm going to start drinking milk again but DH does not want full fat. I think your DH is ok drinking milk. The ice cream is a different story.

Carol Sue I only count the calories and carbs in cooked veggies. I think the ACV upset my stomach so can't use it for now. Where is the casino in relation to the train crash? I hope you went to the one you can comfortably sit and read.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I ate outside the 5 hr eating window. I felt like I needed something because I've got to get my energy back. I don't know if it is keto but I had some yogurt. I read online the flavored isn't keto, but that is what I have for now.

Everyday when I cook DH has to serve it and bring it to me because I get so weak that I feel like I'm going to faint. Not sure why that is but I am hoping that as I continue to eat healthier keto that will change.

Today calories were 1141 and 25 grams net carbs and I did make myself take my suppliments hoping that will help as well.

I hope your time at the casino was a nice one.

We won back the money we lost which was good but didn't come out ahead. I saw that the train crash was 50 miles NW of us and hopefully didn't effect our air quality. I sat and read most of the time. Finished my book I was reading.

I hope you get your energy back. That's a scary feeling. Hopefully more food will help. I think it is more important right now than sticking to Keto 100%. You know not to go off the rails.

My tablet is acting up.

Weight is still 179. Here's the problem with taking G. Its ok when I let my sugar get high because it lowers it well. But since my sugar is in better control I'm having frouble knowing how much I need. I woke up at 4 am to go to the bathroom. I was sweating and shaking. I tested BG and it was 61. Yikes! I tested again to be sure and it was 60. I didn't want to wake up DH so I went to the kitchen and got 2 mini kit Kat bars. I sat on the edge of the bed and ate them and drank water. When I started to feel better I laid down and slept til 9 am. Now BG is 90.

No specific plans for today.

Carol Sue, That was too low for your bs to go. I know when mine dipped to 69 one morning that I felt like crap. Glad you had something to eat to bring it back up.

I am beginning to wonder if I can do what they call clean keto because I'm not having an energy. I didn't go with DH to the store because I don't even trust using the electric carts they have because I get so weak I feel like I'm going to faint. I think I'm going to check into dirty kety or even just doing the old fashioned low carb. I don't know how that will affect the cancer fighting, but I can't live like this either.

I only had 2 boiled eggs with salt, dash and butter and it has given me indegestion all morning. I made a grocery list for DH and paid a couple of bills. Then after writing checks I realized my water bill is due in 2 days so I will have to void the check and pay it online.

Weight this morning was 181.8 which is no surprise as that is from eating more calories yesterday. FBG was 107 and my ketone meter read 3.1 which is really good. That helped me see that I do need to be eating some carbs.

DH is getting McDs for dinner. I think I'm going to try making an almond 90 minute mug bread to eat mine with. The calories are extremely high but the carb is very low.

Hope everybody has a nice day.

Trish, the low sugar was my own fault for not taking my G as prescribed, but I'm am trying to eat better so I don't have to take it. This is why diabetics are told to eat xxx number of carbs,at each meal. Many times I just let my blood sugar run high during the night so I don't risk a hypo.

I hope you discuss this extreme lack of energy with the doctor tomorrow. It doesn't seem right.

I called DS to find out if they found out if the medicine DBIL takes is covered by our insurance, but they don't know yet and won't till they see their doc next week. I asked for the name of it so I could look it up because I wanted to ask the oncologist about it. It turns out it is a generic for Nexium 40 mg. I used to take Nexium 20 mg and stopped because I heard you shouldn't take it. DBIL and babysister both take it for GERD. Babysisters insurance is also with her DH VA insurance and they get things covered others don't. Any way, I still have 2 boxes of Nexium so I took 2 of them after talking to DS to get it in my system as DH says it takes a few days for it to start working. So hopefully it will take care of the GERD I've been experiencing.

DH got double cheeseburgers and I had him take the meat/cheese off regular bun and put it on MGSL bread. I've had 20 g net carbs for today. Calories a little over 530 but I'm not hungry for anything else.

I don't want to follow the cancer diet because it allows you to eat sugar, but I guess I could do like I always do an replace sugar with stevia. Just not sure exactly how to do this because I think keto or low carb is the key. I have to wonder if I am wrong.

Trish, I wish I could help you know what type of diet to follow but I have no reliable information . I read an article that said Keto was good, but there are probably articles in favor of the cancer diet. I would not expect a diet that contains sugar to be good for anyone. You should get as much information as you can and decide what you think is best.

My post was a lot longer last night but it disappeared before I could post it.

Weight up to 180 today. I knew I over ate.

Step daughter said a part burned up in her furnace and they have to wait for the part. Luckily its not freezing cold. I don't understand this because the furnace is less than 2 years old. So many things have gone wrong since they bought this house.

Here is the article I read about keto. I read a similar thing today. You have to decide for yourself which diet to follow. Your DH can help you decide which one is best for you. Prayer will bring the answer.

Carol Sue, I think that information came from Dr. Seyfried's research that he has done. I saw him on YouTube and heard him tell about the lady whose brain tumor shrunk to nothing but came back once she got off the keto diet and she died.

My weight was up this morning to 183, but I weighed earlier. I got up before 7 am and planned to stay up but once I dressed I was lightheaded and dizzy so I laid back down. I got up when I woke up 2 hrs later. I've been dizzy a few times and felt like I was going to pass out. So I decided to eat oatmeal with Greek yogurt for breakfast. Turns out my bs was 87/38 this morning so I think I need to stop my bs medicine. It was pretty low yesterday as well. Maybe the keto is making it low. I ate crackers last night to soak up the acid in my stomach and this morning my FBG was 122. I know I'm not eating enough because today I won't get even 600 calories. I plan to have tilapia for dinner with a variety of veggies. My ketone count was 3.2 which is not bad since it was 3.1 yesterday.

I have so much to do today to get ready to go to oncologist and I have no energy to do it, but it has to be done.

I am like you Carol Sue, it doesn't make sense that a furnace 2 yrs old would have problems already.

Have a nice day.

Trish, I know you meant your BP and not your BS and I agree you should stop the med. HOWEVER you should look up your med and see what it says about stopping it. Some meds have to be removed gradually. Or call your doctor who prescribed the BP med and ask. That BP is too low.

I am so sorry that you are going through all this. I know you are worried. I am thinking of your appointment tomorrow and praying for answers to all the issues you are having.

I wrote my Primary doctor about what was going on. He said I could stop taking the Lisinopril for now. I have blood draw Friday afternoon and will see him the following Friday.

One of the ladies on Keto for Cancer said for me to try drinking 1T ACV in apple juice after each meal. I don't have apple juice but I do have diet cranberry juice so I put ACV in a small glass of it and drank it with my meal and no indigestion during dinner. I had the fish fillet, and 3 green veggies with it, cut okra, mixed squash and Brusses sprouts. It felt good to eat a whole meal and be able to enjoy it. I also added salt to my meals. I am amazed at how little sodium I'm eating so that I would have to add it to my meals. Still not eating enough, but feeling so much better today actually almost human again. Plus, I also took the Nexium like DBIL does

.

Quick flyby. Going to oncologist soon. Not sure what my weight was this morning around 185 which is probably normal since eating. I ate smoked oysters before I went to bed and suffered all evening.

BP was so low that I had to go back to bed and I wasn't sure I could even make it to oncologist. Bless his heart, DH had to get up early to help me get it back up. It comes up but won't stay there. I've drank salt water and took caffiene pills. FBG was 126 which could just be stress of it all. DH thinks doc may put me in the hospital but I hope he won't. I'll check back later if he doesn't put me in the hospital.

Have a good day.
