Carol Sue, I wonder if it is alkaline water too. They never have it at our Walmart, people must use it a lot. I looked for it one time and they had a place for it but someone buys it.

That is weird about that couple. You would think they would have smelled something.

I had only 1048 calories and on 7% (17g) was carbs so carbs were very low. I do need to get back to using the recumbant bike when I can because Dr. Berg talks like exercise during a fast makes the autophagy last longer once it kicks in.

Trish, I think that couple finally smelled something and that's how it was discovered.

I really over ate today. Carbs were over 110. I probably won't get on the scale tomorrow. Tomorrow we are going to the casino because its the only day all week that there is no snow or rain. I want to make it a point to eat light. I have lots of books on my Kindle so I'm prepared.

I was surprised this morning, the scale only went up .2. I hope it doesn't catch up tomorrow.

I'm confused. I went online to pay my bills and something didn't seem right. It appears I already paid my bills this month. There were only 2 that I didn't pay due to discrepancies. Those were the only 2 that needed to be paid. I hope I'm not developing dementia!!

Trish, I have a question about MFP. Recently, when I log in, it shows my allowed calories as 1200 then it adds exercise calories, such as today it added 500+, for a total of 1700. Previously I used to get a note that said you have earned xxx calories, from exercise. But now its giving me an exorbitant amount. One day it gave me 1200 extra for exercise. I have not been exercising. I don't pay attention to that total but don't understand why I'm getting it.

Carol Sue, Maybe it is a glitch. Your fitbit hooks up to MFP right? Can you reset it without losing your progress so far? I don't get that but then I don't wear anything hooked up to it.
That is weird about your bills. Just keep an eye on it and maybe you just forgot when you were sick. Doesn't have to be anything serious.

We are going out today. DH will go in at Sam's and I will sit in the car. We will go to get the water I heard about. I want to go in and talk to them about it. I have some questions just as DH does. I think it may be called Miracle Water, but not sure. People use all different types and they have 4 different ones from what DH could read on the sign on line. Then we will come back over hear to this HEB near us since we have to get his meds. We were going to the one by the water store, but it is so huges, that I don't think I could walk it today since this is my first day getting out like this.

I love the cancer support group that I found on FB. They are wonderful and so good about answering my questions about how they eat and books to read. They have recommended so many that I'm going to have to write down the titles because I can't get them all at once. I plan to read the kindle book between now and when the other one comes in the mail.

It is cold and raining here today. I hope it lets up by the time we leave. Enjoy your reading at the casino and I hope it will be a good one for y'all.

BBL
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ended up with a 23.5 hr fast by the time we ate. I bought a roasted chicken and had chicken and a green salad with EVOO & ACV. DH got his McDs meal. Got my water... 2 kinds. One alkaline and one is hydrogenated from a spring in Mexico. It is called Miracle water because that is what they call it in Mexico. BS has texted her DIL to tell her to either call me or have her Daddy call me when he has time to answer a few questions for me on how to use it because it could get expensive. Alkaline is for cooking and making coffee etc and the Miracle water is just to drink. It is good for everything. DH helped me and I was able to walk in water store with just my cane and of course I used a cart to walk the grocery store. Now I'm bacl on my 20 hr fast until breakfast in the morning.

Hope your casino trip was good.

Trish, MFP gave me 1559 extra calories, from exercise today!! I'm smart enough to know not to eat them.

I'm glad you found the Facebook group. Its important to have support. I'm here for you, but I don't really have any experience or knowledge about cancer. I never would have thought you would be dealing with this.

Casino was terrible.

Weight is down .4. I think it would be going down faster if I was doing a better job of staying on plan. I do great in the morning then later on its all down hill.

We had to get a new modem from the cable company. I just watched a video of how to set it up. This new stuff is definitely not for old people! I miss the days when things were much easier.

After an hour or so of screaming at each other we got the new modem set up!!

Carol Sue, I never thought I would go through this either, but it is just a new experience that I feel confident that the Lord will get me through it and I will recover from it. I believe in a God who does miracles and believe and see Him leading me every step of the way. Sometimes we need to learn where we are missing it. For my part, I need to change and eat more keto and get back to "regular" exercise. I've done about 15 to 20 minutes of exercise this morning that I used to do when I first get up. I will get on the recumbent bike even if DH has to help me get my feet on the peddles as the tighteness in my legs are preventing me from doing it on my own. And of course, I really believ the vibe machine will help with circulation. My goal is to do those today through Saturday.

The ladies on FB cancer support group who do keto say the exercise makes the cancer treatment side effects so much easier on them.

I bought different color bell peppers to add to my eggs to make a wonderful breakfast/brunch omelet. I can also add them to a very good garden/green salad as well. Will have my salad and a veggie with swai fish cooked in either butter or coconut oil for main meal. I will have about 1222 calories and net 25 g carbs. Haven't figured out how to get more fiber as of yet, but think it is good to let my insides heal more before I do all that.

Weight down .2 lbs to 184.8. FBG was 115 again today. It is difficult for me to eat more fat, but I read that is important so that I stop burning glucose which feeds cancer. So I bought avocado to eat in my omelet. Not sure if I will add the other half into the salad or not. Maybe I should.

Have a nice day.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm glad y'all figured out how to get the modem to work. Technology has changed so much that it takes more for us to know how to use them. I don't know what I would do without my DH. He is geared toward those things and thank God I have a grandson who could and would help me if I needed him. These young kids can do this stuff so easily. Are they smarter than we were?

Trish, the younger kids are involved with this technology starting at a very young age so it comes natural to them. . My DH is very good at fixing things and assembling things. But he doesn't believe in reading directions. We work as a team. I read the directions and he does it. But first he jumps right in and starts connecting things because he knows where they go, but it doesn't work because it has to be done step by step the way they tell you. Once we did that it all fell into place.

I was going to make meat loaf for dinner but we got involved with the modem so now I don't have enough time. I am going to make beef ravioli. Its very quick and easy. The ravioli is frozen in a bag and I use half a bag. Cooks in boiling water in just a few minutes. I can make my own sauce or use canned.

Trish, there is healthy fat in eggs so that will help with your fat intake. I like to use Pam but DH uses butter and I think that's healthier and tastes better. I agree that your insides need to heal. The salad with various, vegetables is good plus the veggies in your omlet.

I got an email about a diet soup similar to the cabbage soup diet. It is similar to my vegetable soup but only uses low carb vegetables, not all the vegetables I put in my soup and doesn't include barley. I would like to make it. Maybe. Winter is good soup weather. Also I haven't been eating the broccoli and cauliflower like I was. That might have something to do with my weight gain.

Carol Sue, I don't think I've ever known a man who likes to read directions. DH#2 and his brother used to say, "You mean it has come to that?" Duh? They are funny aren't they. I agree that people put small computer games etc in the hands of little kids as soon as they can. I'm not sure it is always good, but I do think that is why that don't always interact very well with others. But what do I know. This is a time when children need to know these things because it is their future.

I ate brunch a little after noon and I wasn't hungry at dinner time. So I cooked the fish dinner for DH but I didn't eat. I guess I am now doing another 23 hr past turning this into a OMAD because I don't want to eat anything after 4ish so I will have my 20 hr fast tomorrow. Mayby it is good to do this according to how my body feels rather than a routine schedule.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I ended up eat 2nd time 8 hrs after brunch. I had a 5 oz can of pink salmon and 1 oz pecans. Total calories today was 824 and net carbs 12 g. I'll only have a 16 hr fast by the time I eat tomorrow. I think I am going to have to do a 19:5 eating window because I just can't eat enough food in a 4 hr eating window. According to what I have read today, exercise, keto and at least 16 hr fast causes autophagy to work. So I'm going to trust that is true and drink my special water along with it. I did all the exercise that I wanted to get done today. It was an effort but hopefully in time it will become easier. I was able to get on the recumbent bike and do it with DH helping me so that means swelling is starting to come down. I found a different place to buy my water and I watched the man on youtube in a local interview and he seems to be more knowledgeable on how to use these 2 waters and how much and qualities than the other place. The good thing is he has a store closer to me as well. I plan to talk to him and buy it from him from now own. They hydrogen water is supposed to help me have the energy to exercise and think clearly. I need both.
Goodnight.

No scale today. I got up late so I forgot but remembered after I ate.

Trish, you are doing a great job of handling your eating. I don't think you need to have a specific time period for your eating window if you eat according to your hunger. Some days you will be hungrier than others. Just don't eat so little that you are weak. Try to keep your strength up.

My grandson spent time with computer games sin he was young. He went to day care and pre school but they live in an area with few neighbors and no kids. I feel bad for him that his only interactions with kids are at school, the same kids day after day and no kids during the summer. He is very smart and mannerly because he spends most of his time with adults. He probably is not learning how to handle a bad situation.

I don't know what we are having for dinner.

______________
I forced myself to get on the scale and I'm down .4. To 182.0. I always think I'm overeating, or eating too many carbs. I'm losing slowly, and thats what seems to be best for me. I lost quickly when I was, sick but that wasn't healthy or sustainable. I gained part of it back. Losing tenths of a pound gradually is fine for now.

Carol Sue, I think losing is better for us especially at our ages.

DH grandson that we took care of has asburgers (sp wrong I'm sure). We found it easier to let him play games on the computer. Finally one day his parents decided he was on it so much. I am a firm believer in teaching kids to read books so his Mother and I made a rule that he had to take one hour everyday at our house reading a book. The amazing thing is that he fell in love with reading and when we moved he had quite a collection of books that he had bought from the library when he worked there. He is the one who graduated with a degree in chemical engineering.

I'm down 1 lb to 183.8 so the fluid is slowly coming off and FBG was back down to 105 this morning. I really wasn't hungry today but ate brunch around 11ish so that I will have a 5 hr eating window. I just had eggs, bacon and 1/2 avocado. The big problem I'm having right now is I'm not really hungry and it is a chore just to decide what to cook. I decided on chicken tenders. DH got petite green peas so I will cook that for something different an have a salad.

We researched the hydrogen water and the benefits are awesome. We also learned that it loses its strength and just becomes water after a few days. DH found a youtube enterview with a Japanese doctor and we learned that we can purchase pills to put into filtered water and it needs to be drank within 10 minutes and it works in our system for 24 hrs. We ordered Dr. Mercola's brand on Amazon and will use those. I also found out by accident that we didn't go to the water place I had heard about. I wish we had gone there because that guy would have never sold me a jug of the hydro water as big as I bought and he has different grades of ph alkaline water that he would have sold me according to what I need it for. However, I also found that he has a place closer to me between my house and the local grocery store I go to and I can get my alkaline water there. So things are beginning to come together to enhance my treatment. Still haven't heard from doctor, but I figure everything will fall in place as it should. I feel like the way I am eating right now is the Lord leading me to do what I need to do so that hopefully I will be healthier to go through whatever the doctor decides to do on his part. I need to exercise today but I woke up so tired today so I really think that I over did it yesterday. I will still try to do some later today but I don't want to be tired tomorrow when we go out with sisters. DH informed me last night that we are going out to eat for our anniversary and anyone who wanted to go with us is welcome.

Have a good day everybody.

Trish, I hope this water is able to help you. I never heard of it but its interesting to hear about it. Also hope you feel strong enough to do some exercise.

Long story, but I ended up having potato chips for dinner. Not healthy.....

As close as I can figure, I had 520 calories today with 10 net g carbs. I'm not sure I'm eating enough but I just don't feel like eating much. DH suggested soup but it isn't keto. I am not eating enough protein, but just couldn't eat it. I cooked the chicken and I ate half a tender. I made what I call a finger salad of yellow bell pepper, tomatoes, cucumbers and cooked petite peas and green beans. I ate a few bites of each of it, but having to chew it so thoroughly, I got tired of doing it. I'm through eating for today and managed to eat just 2 meals within 5 hr eating window. I sure hope I feel like going out tomorrow. Haven't done exercise yet except just walking around the house. I hope this is just what they call a keto flu like experience and it will get better.

This morning I got on and off the scale repeatedly. It said 177 every time. I know I did not lose 5 lbs overnight. I will get on again later and/or put it on the charger. It should not need to be charged again. I might have to go back to the battery operated one.

Trish, I know I couldn't eat much when I was sick. To my knowledge, I never had Keto flu even when I went very low carb. I read online that you only get it if you we're eating high carb before. But I occasionally feel that I've had enough when I eat less. So wait and see how this goes. When do you see the doctor again?

I got on the scale again and it said 182.4, which is believable since I was 182.0 yesterday. I got on 2 more times and got 180.2. So I will try my other scale and put this one on the charger.

The balance beam scale looks like it says 180 but the tick marks on it are hard to see. The battery scale, says 179.6. So I don't know how much I weigh today.

Carol Sue, Looks like either way that you have a good weightloss. Mayb e tomorrow there will be no question about it.

I woke up today feeling great. I think yesterday feelings was too much Tart Cherry Extract built up in my system. I came alive around 7ish last night. I didn't take the TC Extract last night and slept very well. I really don't feel like I am having much of a keto flu but thought of it when I felt so bad. I feel good knowing too that it had nothing to do with my battling the cancer either. I think I'm not having a lot of problems with keto this time because I wasn't eating before the hospital and then was not allowed to eat while having all the tests they run. I wasn't allowed any solid food until the day before I left the hospital when they wanted to be sure I could tolerate it.

Weight is almost back down to where it was at the hospital with all my clothes and a coat on. It was 182 there. This morning without clothes was 182.8 and FBG was back down to 102. The hydro water and the alkaline water is working too as I notice that my fingernails are starting to look healthy again.

Today we are going out to steakhouse with DS and BIL. I prayed that I would feel good to go today and I do and am looking forward to time with them. BS and BIL can't make it as they have other things going on today. We will try to do something here next time for us to get together. In fact, BS and I talked about her coming to spend the day with me one day next week. I'm also learning that beef isn't bad for you although all meat should be grass fed no pesticides, etc and most veggies should be organic. I never watched that much before but will work at doing better in that especially at home where I have more control.

Today I plan to have a steak with mushrooms and veggies and drink lemon water at the steakhouse. Today will be a one meal day. I watched an interview of a guy last night on Dr. Berg on youtube and he told what he did as he went through his cancer treatment. He did IF, OMAD ketogenic diet and still eats that way and killed the cancer tumor. They test him every 3 months to be sure it doesn't come back. He still does OMAD with an occasional 2MAD depending on exercise etc. I also heard Dr. Berg tell of a chemotherapy that kills the blood life that kills the tumor. So I have decided that when I finally see my doctor that I will request this particular treatment. The guy also said he had only 3 chemo treatments because of the pain. They had planned six but it only took 3. He experimented and the 1st time that he fasted one day before, the day of the treatment and on day after. No side effects. The 2nd time he ate his ketogenic diet and was sick as he could be. So the 3rd time he fastes like he did the 1st time and never had a side effect and never lost even one hair on his head. So I plan to do the same. He did do a long 21 day fast before he ever saw the oncologist, but I'm not sure I want to do that. For now I will start doing some 3 day fasts to get in the routine of doing it so I can when I go into actual treatment and I until then I will do OMAD most days.

I feel good because I have a plan on my part before seeing the oncologist and I am praying that I can keep the one I saw in the hospital who already approved of my fasting and low carb woe.

Hope everybody has a nice day!
