Terrific report ROSEY . . . hug: Isn't it amazing how great the coffee tastes after you've been deprived for a few extra hours.

Well . . . GODZELLA the GAZELLE has arrived - after only 3 days since I ordered it. Wow. Unfortunately it is still in the box because I was just not ready for it yet. Started by rearranging everything in my computer room this afternoon so I bring the stability ball up here to act as a chair. I'm sitting on it now. It's a little low to what I'm used to, but hopefully I can get used to it. I can definitely feel the extra bit of work my abdominals are doing. Unfortunately my upper back is a bit sore, but maybe that's just from pushing furniture around. Will wait and see how it is in a couple of days.

Tomorrow I'll start rearranging the family room to fit the new toy in. At least I getting exercise getting redy to get exercise.

Hi lacaracola I remember your thread, I know you can do it! Just keep fighting the fight and don't give up. Everyday is a new day.

I can't wait to hear about this contraption I want to buy something to use while I watch TV, I was thinking of a treadmill, but let me know how you are doing.

My hubby is away in Ireland, tonight I had my healthy dinner and went for a 2 hour walk. Then I was still feeling energetic so I did 40 minutes on my stepper. Last night I was a little stressed (work problems) and I had some potato chips... the walk and the stepper was to make up for that. Today I am back on track and going strong.

OMG . . . why does one thing always lead to another and another and another . . .

First, I told you the story of rearranging the computer room yesterday. Now, I just discovered I managed to break a tiny little piece off the paper tray for my printer in the moving process and I can't get paper to feed correctly and the silly machine just keeps shutting itself down.

Next, just finished rearranging my entire sunroom/family room (and, of course, doing a good deep cleaning as well) to find a home for Godzella as well as my other toys and the cat toys, too. I haven't stopped since about 6:30 this morning. I'm definitely well exercised today.

But, I still haven't put the stupid Gazelle together. I did get it out of the box and the many, many, many pieces all laid out in order on the livingroom floor. Also got the packaging junk carted out to the garage. I've just run out of steam for today.

At this rate, it's going to take me longer to get it set up than it took the Shopping Channel to deliver it . . . Oh . . . the normal stuff . . . my BGL is terrible again this morning, although it will probably be back to something acceptable by later this afternoon (seems to be my pattern lately.). It is wonderfully sunny but the humidity is high again and since I've been so busy anyway, I've just been sweating buckets today.

Have a great rest of the day everybody . . . gee it is quiet in here . . . far too quiet lately, wonder where everybody has gone?

THIN . . . I hope I'm going to like the Gazelle. I have a manual treadmill (hate it and it lives in the garage now). See you . . .

Was yours an automatic treadmill? I almost did that trying one in a store. With the manual ones at least they don't move unless you do. I never felt unstable on mine . . . just bored to tears . . . and it was sooooooo big.

Boy I hope I get good results like your DD. Have you ever tried hers?

Hi gang . . .

Wow this is turning into a weird morning for me. Started out feeling not too badly after a pretty good night's sleep. Then I checked my BGL -- 11.1/almost 202 -- No idea how that happened. Didn't take insulin last night but that was because the BGL was 4.7/85 before dinner and I only had a fairly light, salad based dinner and went to bed early. Suspect I went really low not too long before I woke up, but that is only a guess. Seeing the doctor on Thursday anyway. Be interesting to hear what he thinks.

Now for the update on the toys . . . Not only is Gadzella finally together; the rebounder also arrived and it is in place and ready to go too. Finally enlisted the help of my friend LouLou's 18 year-old grandson with getting the Gazelle together; managed the rebounder myself. Spent about 1 minute on each -- think I'll be fine with the Rebounder; but it's going to take me a bit to get the hang of the Gazelle, I fear. It was scarey. Of course, I'm going to have to fight the cats for the little "TRAMP" . . . they think it makes a great new bed.

BTW ROSEY . . . the Gazelle is rated for 300 pounds (compared to a lot of similar stuff which is only 250) . . . the Rebounder is rated for 400 pounds (compared to cheap mini-tramps that are only 200 and without a stability bar). I do think you'd like the Urban Rebounder.

Went shopping yesterday, too . . . bought two new area rugs for the sunroom/familyroom . . . just another offshoot of the need/want syndrome that develops when you start rearranging things. So that resulted in having to move half the furniture again.

At least, I seem to have fixed the printer problem -- it still is missing the little piece that broke off, but it does seem content to work again. Good thing too, since I spent too much on those new rugs to be able to buy a new printer. Buddy Ball is still my computer chair (after I stuffed a bit more air into him, I can type a little more easily). He may be my only exercise today -- well, plus a little grocery shopping -- because I'm still pretty achey from all the furniture moving of the past couple of days and think I need a rest.

Well that's about it for me today . . . this is Thanksgiving weekend in Canada and although I don't have anything major in my plans, it always seems to get busy. Hope you all have a great day and a good weekend if I don't get back for a little while. . .

My goodness, where has everybody gotten to? Funny how threads seem to ebb and flow from time to time like this. The one thing I know for sure -- we do not suddenly have fewer diabetics either on this site or in the world. So come on back and talk to us, everybody. Sharing our experiences can only help.

Here's an insteresting article from by in-box this morning . . . http://www.everydayhealth.com/public...e37dd3f19&p=30 . . . although they don't tell us what age they consider to be "older"; but I imagine I qualify.

Hope to see you all soon . . .

Morning Meowee.. It's been a long week for me. I hurt my dominate "paw" at work and now and trying to be a lefty for 2 weeks. being in my right mind for that long may kill me. admittedly using my right hand too much feels like I'm dying anyway. one of the drugs thay have me taking for inflamation seems to be raising my blood sugars and I've been spending anytime I'm not working sleeping. UGGGGH.

Good Morning . . .

Looks like it's going to be 'one of those days' . . . I upset a 16 oz glass of water all over my desk this morning and now the printer (it was closest) is going somewhat insane. Just unplugged it and tipped it on its nose in hopes of draining out any remaining water.

My BGL was a bit better this morning at 7.2 (just under 130). Since I didn't check it at bedtime, I'll never know if all the extra carb I ate yesterday kept me so high I didn't go low overnight or not. Someday, hopefully, I'll get things back into balance again. Since I'm trying to stay away from the insulin shots, I've doubled my metformin back to original levels (I had cut it in half close to a year ago) to hopefully pick up the slack, but that new(old) dosage hasn't been in place long enough to account for the change. At least the sun is finally coming out again and hopefully the last day of our Thanksgiving Weekend will be nice.

KITTY . . . . . . Hope that paw is soon better. I'm like you, my left hand is really just attached for decoration, I think, because it is definitely not very useful.

ROSEY . . . . . . Awww geeee, don't we all wish we could be on your DH's little eating plan. Good luck ignoring him while he munches.

Have a great moving and shaking day, gang . . . hope some more of the crew come out to play again soon.

Hi there . . . . . . wherever you are.

I slept in a little this morning and now I'm running late, of course. Luckily no big plans for the day, anyway. Was quite overcast first thing this morning and the high is only going to be about 12-13C (low to mid 50s F); but the sun is trying to peek through at the moment. Hope he succeeds. BGL was 7.4 (133) first thing and that isn't too bad, since it is without insulin but with the higher dose of Metformin.

There was an interesting article in my e-mail this morning from the American Dietetic Association rating the top 8 diets from a Heart Healthy point of view only. Not surprisingly the Ornish Plan ranked first, but they admit it is very difficult to stick with. Anyway, have a read . . . http://www.everydayhealth.com/public...#37;20Diabetes

If you are one of those lucky people who can manage one square of really good chocolate, ROSEY -- go for it, girl. Unfortuntely, for me, one square turns into the whole bar.

Have a great moving and shaking day . . . see you soon . . .
