Hi anita, good to meet you... hope you are well and your work out was great

This week no real change on the scale... for what I was eating I expected more. Oh well. BF has lost about 10 lbs in 2 weeks... how is that even possible? He eats plenty.

Sigh.

Hi snapple, welcome to the thread! What is it with meds and weight gain? Hope you have success in your battle.

Lisa, I'm glad buggy is getting there! I imagine anyone would react as buggy has to being caught in a fire! I'm glad your bloods came back alright, and you're on the journey now!

I joined a gym today, it was my first workout in a really long time. I got an app to help train me to run 5k (3 miles), I ended up getting a stitch after the warm up walk! I am so unfit. Anyway, gotta persevere!

Anita, I know what you mean about being scared of the scales, but when I avoid them, I tend to continue eating poorly! Bite the bullet, and at least that way you know what you're dealing with!

snapple, thank you so much. He is very pretty and he's a good kitty. I am very lucky to be his kitty momma. He fought to live, I am going to protect him from now on. He will never want for anything until the day he passes from this life.

I want to apologize to you, snapple. I missed posting to you too. I am very sorry. We are thrilled to have you here with us, srsly. Post and vent all you want.

Buggy is really doing well. I do wish we were back in my house, he'd be doing better but he is ok here.

My sugar level was high so I need to get off the pop or at least, cut way down. I am sitting here drinking grape water as we speak. When I get paid on Monday, I'm going to stock up on water for the entire month.

Congrats on joining a gym, that is awesome news. Don't feel bad about getting a stitch while running. I am unable to walk very well, right now. My knees are tight, I'm wondering if I might have some water on them. Anyway, congrats on the wonderful, new changes in your life.

Thanks Lisa it's really nice to be here it's a good forum I'm on a little tablet here so sorry if this post is bit funny, or typos. Hey btw have you ever drank La Croix? It is a carbonated flavored water, no sugar. If you are trying to get off the soda. Though I admit I have been drinking diet soda while I try and lose weight... Which I never wanted when I wasn't dieting!

Good to see all these folks making strides and I have to say I was inspired to get a bit of exercise today despite my desires to stay inside! And I did healthy snacks today and plan to be strict this weekend.

No more sedentary days...

snapple, this is a great thread. Sometimes, it gets kinda slow. People get down and don't feel up to posting, me included. I've had plenty of times when I just didn't feel like saying anything. I am not doing bad right now, despite the kitchen fire on Sept 1st. I am still living with my daughter, I feel so bad and I know I'm an imposition.

I have never had La Qroix. I'll have to look for it. Today, I had a tough time staying away from the pop. Maybe tomorrow will be better. I did really good on Friday.

I have 2 weight loss meetings this coming week, Wed and Thurs.

Where is everyone? Miss you.

Hi everyone, hope your Sunday is going well

headed out to take care of some shopping. I am amazed at being up in the morning, showered and dressed, this was not happening a couple weeks back.

Something about the cooler months and gray skies helps me to feel better.

Metabolism is a total *****, snapple. But everybody's got their own pace in in weight loss, I think. I guess the point is to find your own rhythm.

Meanwhile, Coop - you're right, of course. I've had a few hard days with the kid getting up and the resulting little sleep - and have learned how hard it is to lose weight when you're exhausted. (No energy to work out, more hunger to maintain the energy I have, and dealing with the despair and the entirely unsupported fear that my husband will see me today and think I'm just a sloth-y slob).

Rather than internalizing my frustration, I'm trying to use it as a meditation to have compassion for everybody who feels thwarted, and trying to remind myself that this will pass.

So the goal is to watch my eating carefully today, and get to sleep on time.

Good, warm thoughts to everybody feeling thwarted today. I see you and feel ya' today. You are definitely not alone.

Unhappy sorry - I've missed you all

I have been gone for months, life got out of control.

Tried going off of Abilify. The side effects were awful and then i just couldnt cope. Back on with awful insomnia. Thus I'm here at 3:30 am.

Did n't read the whole thread, but saw your fire Lisa. Hope all is better.

I'll be back more now.
