I'd say that I can beat each and every one of you, but that would be a bald faced lie!!! You guys work out so many minutes, I struggle to keep up. I AM going to try this month, if I can, I want to beat my 1500 minute goal.

Dont worry Shellie I struggled to get in my 1500 minutes in this month. I challenged myself Sept and October, each month I did 1300 minutes + No problem I will barely get in my 1500 minutes this month (and Jasmine has done over 2000 minutes....

I'm with you Jasonslea... 1200 minutes for me too! I met my goal of 900 minutes for November so time to crank it up a notch.

You ladies are crazy ambitious with 1800 minutes... so impressive! Hopefully that will be me in a few months.

Are you still doing your pilates? How often? Cause that is one thing I need to kick my butt about more, I did pilates the first(and only time) last week, I could really feel it too! I also did 8 minute abs twice last week. We should goad each other about that too!!

Good plan. Well as a disclaimer I must say that I am a s.a.h.m. I know many of you work or don't have help with the small kids. When I was working it was really hard trying to get exercise in more than a few times a week. When I had two toddlers at the same time, forget it! I am very glad that I can focus on home hubby and kids and working toward getting healthy now so I can better take care of them. Everyone just do your best!

Well I am getting ready to go for my final walk for the month! 50 more minutes and I will be at 2455 for the month! That is an 81 minute average. Not bad!

My goal is to walk at least 6 miles on the treadmill every week and to exercise for 250 min. every week. All of December that would be about 25 miles and about 1000 minutes. Wish me luck!

(copied from nov thread)

I got to 2465 in November so I am over my 1800 mark. SO an 82 minute a day average , so 41.083 hours and 123.25 miles! Whoohooo!! Now for pounds. I started at 219 and today I am down to 213! Now I will say I did lose an extra pound before turkey day but gained it back. SO I did lose 7 pounds last month but gained 1 back. Still not bad. One thing I did notice though is my tummy is getting better! A little tip for you brisk walkers, every once in a while shake it up by running for a minute or so, it gets that heart rate up and actually (IMO) works the top belly muscles. That is what started decreasing this month for me. Drink plenty of water! I am looking for ward to this month!

Happy December 1st ladies!!! Christmas time is rapidly approaching (aargh)! I hate the holidays. Too much good food, and never an escape from it. My goal this month is to avoid the temptation at work, and only eat yucky on Christmas Day. My other goal is to stick with my excercise minutes, and finish those. Alas, I have failed this month (my gym is closed ), but I will NOT let that stop me this month. I think I set my minutes too high, though. Not enough hours in the day, but what can you do? Jasmine, in response to your question about Pilates, I only do it once in a here and there, but I do a workout video every day. I get really bored with them, so it's nice to switch up. I've noticed that when I started doing the videos my weight loss slowed a bit, but I've lost many more inches and I'm not as jiggly. My lack of weight loss may also be attributed to the fact that I SUCK at counting my points! Whatever, I'm not quitting this time. I hope you guys have a wonderful Friday, and work those little fanny's off!!!

Cool shellie. Well remember that the scale is not a true indicator. Like October I lost 9.75 pounds! November was 7(gained 1 back) BUT I had increased my walking! My average daily was 15 minutes more so it bugged me a bit which is why around the 20th I slacked off cause I had a 90 minute average til then. BUT I did notice a big change in my body! My waist is getting smaller! Even dh notices! I am getting curves again! The top of my belly is flattening out(like right under my boobs/well i am 213 but you know what i mean! ) and just yesterday I noticed a BIG change in my lower belly like it is sloping off to. I am feeling lil hip bones and my dh was telling me last nite about my back, that he can feel (w/out trying hard) that the bottom of my back ribs bones. Also! My bra! I usually have to purposely feel thru skin for the collar bones but a few days ago I was reaching over there and it was there! (cant really see it yet but it is getting closer to the surface!) Back to my bra, a few weeks ago we had to adjust the straps! (I have already had to tighten up the clasps too) and just two days ago the straps were falling off my shoulders so I had to tighten them again!

I have started measuring myself. And just remember that it is better to work out and be firm than jiggly! that means you have muscle pounds, not fat pounds and they weigh the same so that is why you may not notice on the scale but you will be trimmer and might even get into a smaller size! Have you seen the muscle vs. fat pic?

Oh and I would encourage you to be legit and count those points! I started losing steadily after hitting a plateau once I really started counting cals and portion control! It is worth it!

I'm shooting for 1050 minutes in December since I do 50 minutes of cardio each weekday. Exercising on Christmas Day is going to be a challenge.

Jasmine, I know exactly what you mean about the whole "right under the boobs" weight loss! It's funny, you can totally tell I've lost weight there, but my tummy is still poochy and my hips are still the same size. People say that you usually lose from the top to the bottom, and I think I agree. Yeah, stuff goes away here and there as well, but mostly it goes from face down to the toes.

Oh geez it almost killed me to start my new ticker over for December. Only one day to enjoy my accomplishment and now it is back to 0! Had to run out for a quick 15 min walk with the dog in the snow just to move it up a notch.

Sojo~You crack me up!! But I had to leave a little note about my exercise for last month in my sig.

Shari~1200 minutes is great!! Give credit where credit is due!! 1200 minutes is a great goal. (That is 20 hours of exercise!!!)

I really need to get my Pilates going again. Tommy's naptime has changed, so its right in the middle of General Hospital ( it is my guilty pleasure please don't hold it against me please ) I do ride my exercise bike for the first 30 minutes then DH comes home for lunch and I hate doing pilates when he is here, some things need to be kept private . I have to start doing them again because my belly is in serious need of Toning. My rib cage is always the first place I lose, then my legs from toes up. But now my rib cage is starting to get flabby again, why is that???
