Arrow September Exercise Challenge

Does weather improve where you live in September? That's a great reason for ramping up exercise!

State your exercise goal and track it throughout the month with this supportive group of fellow exercisers. We'll compile our workout goals into a list. As each goal is met during the month, it gets turned RED in celebration.

This thread is for fitness and exercise goals. For other weight loss goals, be sure to see our sister thread: September Weight Loss Challenge.

I have no idea what this original post said as I thought I was quoting as a new post and then edited it without realizing it... duh
I think I thanked Joy and commented about the weather maybe...no changes really here. Still 70-80's all month with a few 90's still thrown in.

I'm going to try to keep up my steps as a personal challenge barring any issues worse than they already are.

I'll join in this challenge too! I can't do anything high impact, but I will commit to 4-7 days/week at least 30 mins/day of something.

Thanks Joy for all you do to keep us motivated!

GREAT JOB everyone!

I've been more active than normal this week working on my house so my calorie burn has been crazy according to my Fitbit. I normally don't count any of that as official exercise unless it adds up to more than an hour. Not sure how accurate my FOUR year old Fitbit is (as it keeps losing time and I keep having to re-sync it), but it is funny how 11K steps one day can burn 500 more calories than 11K steps the next day. I usually take those deficits and cut them in half to be more realistic on my spreadsheet and even then, probably 1/4 is closer to how my body works.

I'm going to try to keep up my steps as a personal challenge barring any issues worse than they already are.

September Exercise Goals: Strength Training and Lower Body/Core Exercises 13X

09/01: ST, LB, CORE (1/13) 11,135 steps
09/02: Painting (2 hours), etc 10,748 steps
09/03: ST, LB, CORE (2/13) 11,555 steps
09/04: Yardwork , steps tbd

Joy ~ That is great about the steps! I hope you will have cooler temps than us. We are still in the 90's for another couple of weeks, but hopefully less humidity. I miss long walks!

Keep up the great work everyone!
