Thanks for starting up May's thread gardenerjoy.

April was a better month overall for me than March, I'm hoping May is at least as good. After my early April whoosh, I've mostly just hung out around 189, so I'm ready for another whoosh in May. Or just getting back to a slow and steady loss would be fine too. I enjoy getting later into spring, as more fruits start coming into season. I have a few go to healthy foods in the winter, but I enjoy spring/summer fruits a lot, so the summer variety is better for me.

May is going to be incredibly hectic for me - my son graduates on June 7 and we are hosting a huge bbq for our extended families to celebrate which means we are working our tails off to get the yard to look fantastic! We have 5 acres, with about 3 of those groomed and/or gardens, including my massive veg garden. Absolutely can not wait for fresh vegies!

My goal is to see 180 by the end of May - so an 8 lb weight loss.

Start - 188
Goal - 180

Thanks, gardenerjoy.....scale loss seems to be a bit out of reach for me these days.

I feel like it is HRT - when I am on (my) full-strength HRT, scale goes up. When I drop back to half-dose, scale goes down. Having said that, there actually is NO scientific research that attributes scale-gain to HRT. I really wish they would seriously study a large group of women, over YEARS, to make sure there is NO scientific research...

....anyway, I have always wondered that if I am simply meant to be puffy during these HRT years, and when they are done, so goes away the puff!?!?!? Because, I had no puff before HRT, I have battled puff ever since HRT, I have battled MORE puff when I am on full-dose HRT than when I am on half-dose HRT. Sigh....it will REALLY tick me off if I spend these years (including the last 2.5...) chasing a scale-dream that won't come true, but will easily come true when I am through menopause and HRT is behind me.

gardenerjoy: thanks for starting us off. My SW is 159.8 and my GW is 155.
Lacerta: WOOT new low!! I count on you in these threads because it seems you and I are the "daily posters"
Beeps: oh the joys of HRT. Been there done that. Really not a fun time in my life. Be ever so patient with yourself ... when you don't even recognize yourself. Yep, I would say hormones play a super big role in fat, mood, you name it. Hang in there.
scarlet: how exciting for your son's graduation and a big BBQ in your yard. I threw a bash for my twin sons last summer when they turned 30. Did all the cooking and decorations. Was so fun. I was a mere 150 pounds last summer and I love looking at those pictures of me at that party. ha ha
Farn: where you going for vacation?? I would like to vicariously enjoy this adventure 10 pounds is still super fantastic in one month!

Follena: Thanks, you too! I don't always have time to say much, but I feel like just the act of posting my weight for the day sets the tone for where the day is going to go.

Not a super fast drop, but that's 3 new lows in 3 days. I'm on a very slow roll

However, plan is for pizza with my in-laws for hubby's birthday tonight. I will probably have a couple pieces, so I'll likely be up for the pepperoni bloat for the next couple days.

Follena Gotta love the pics where you look and feel your best! We try and host a big bash once a year (starting with our wedding here 4 years ago, then birthday, Canadian Thanksgiving where it SNOWED on our outdoor party!!) and it's always so much fun! So much work but we really enjoy it.

Lacerta
Yay for slow rolls! I hope you enjoyed your pizza <3

I totally fell off the wagon last night with a bag of chips and an iced tea. Oh well, one slip won't derail me!

Yangzter: we have same goal weight this month.

Mr Scale just wants to give me .1 pound weight loss per day ... he’s not very generous.

Follena: Hey a 0.1 pound loss per day is a 36.5 pound loss for the year. That's about my goal for 2019, so I'd take that.

scarletrunner: Thanks, I did. My mother in law is very entertaining company.

I'm shocked. I had 3 pieces of pizza, and even though I was still under on calories for the day, I expected to be up just for water bloat. Another new low was a surprise, but a happy one. YAY! I'm just 0.4 from getting to change my avatar again and 0.8 away from another signature minigoal.

Thanks, Follena!

I went UP in weight again this week. So, yeah, pretty sure it is tied to the HRT since I am weighing and measuring all of my food and I ate exactly my calories this week.

Anyway, this "challenge" really will be a challenge for me....not that this is a bad thing. I notice the name of this thread is not "May Weight Loss Cake-walk"...the word "CHALLENGE" is in the title!
