Lacerta - *hit happens and you just have to dust yourself off and go again, right?! Good on you for not giving up just because you had a bad week. Hope this coming week is better, big hugs!
scarletrunner: That's exactly right. The difference between success and failure isn't never stumbling, it is in never letting that stumble stop you. A few bad days are part of the journey and they won't stop me. Thanks for the hugs. Hope you have a fantastic week!

Wow, another new low, by a pound. Seriously, ange, it's a good service. Bonus points to you. Hey, and that's GOAL for me for the month, and also moves me below a 29 BMI for the first time in I don't know how long. I've been wearing a pair of jeans I had from college, and I graduated 19 years ago, but I can't quite fit into my goal dress yet on top. So I don't think I'm QUITE back to my college weight, but I'm getting closer. I put 170 in my goals for where I was in college, but that is the low end. I'm getting pretty close to where I think I was when I finished college. Close enough to fit into a lot of the clothes from the back of my closet again. It's a good feeling.
Congratulations Lacerta! Nice new BMI too! The dress is guaranteed, just needs a little more of that patience that you have lots of. Would you actually want to wear the dress or is it just a milestone thing?
Think i'll join in next month.
I gained a kilo last month, and probably one the month or two before too, so i'm a couple of kg higher than my lowest and was 114.8 lb yesterday after not weighing since early April (due to partly being away a lot, but mostly due to avoiding the scale! Actually I thought it might be much worse news than it is).
Anyway since Wednesday i'm back in to the 'no crap' eating and back to the gym after 4-weeks break (including 3 weeks working overseas), but I've got a conference in Europe in 4 weeks and will go see Mum and Dad in UK after that, so want to be back on track in the meantime, not least because I have some new office pants that need to look alright for this conference (I work at home mainly, or otherwise i'm at customers who are mining companies so it's either t-shirts or Hi-Viz clothing for my usual 'work wear' and i'm not used to having to wear 'real' clothes, so my choices there are pretty small!)
Anyway the gist of all that is that i'm keen to drop about 2-4lb in the next 4 weeks. I'll do this by moderate portions and good quality food (no processed crap, chocolate, bakery stuff, white carbs etc, and I think that will do it - plus i'm keen to work on the fitness side too cos I've a big trekking holiday coming up at end of August, and decent food quality definitely helps me push myself there. Can't believe Winter starts at the weekend!
Thanks ange and gardener. The dress is really just a milestone at this point. I think it is probably a bit young for me now to actually wear, but we'll see. I do have another dress that is less age specific that I wore at the same time, so once this one fits me, that one likely will too, and I might actually wear it. My wedding was about that same time, so I'm probably close to fitting back into that dress, too, but it's a lot more work to take out and try on, so I'm using this one as a gage, and once it fits correctly, I'll try the others on. I'm using this one as a gage because it buttons all the way up the front, so it is really easy to try on. The other one slips over my head and if it doesn't fit, I can't really get it on to see how close I am, whereas with the buttons, I can see that when I started checking, I was like 9 inches from buttoning it on the bust and now I'm only about an inch (pretty much all back and rib fat). I think I actually could button it if I held my breath, but I'm afraid I might pop the buttons off.

Back up a bit yesterday, and back down today. Given my pattern lately, I'll probably hang out in the 184s for the next couple of weeks. I'd really like to drop a bit more today and get to the 183s and hang out there for a while instead. I tend to do well on weekends and Mondays are often my lowest weight of the week, so it is possible.
