Thanks, gardenerjoy! I got more into steps than I'd expected. I was surprised how motivating I found it. I think what really did it is at a certain number, I noticed a significant increase in my energy levels. Due to a few health issues, I've been on the low-energy side for most of my life. I'm really grateful to walking bc it increases it. More intense exercise doesn't do that as well bc it also exhausts me. Sometimes it wipes me out for the rest of the day. Night walking does sound like a good way to avoid some of the heat. I'm currently leaning against it bc my neighborhood isn't lit very well, and knowing my clumsy butt, I'd probably trip. :lol:
