Weekend I totally agree with you, this is a very difficult time of year to lose weight. I have been struggling since the beginning of May. I love your positive attitude, and that is what will make you one of the many that succeed!! Congrats to you guys for getting back on your program, I need to do the same, we can do it together  Congrats on losing 30 lbs with South Beach!! We can do this!!!

Welcome ladies, good luck to each and every one of you!!

It was my birthday yesterday and originally I was going to only have dessert but it ended up turning into a cheat day. Today is a new day!! I have found that there are way too many occasions to go off plan and that is what is holding me back. I need to figure out a plan for those days and then stick to it. I wish I could get that committed feeling back that I had the first 5 months!

Hello Everyone!

DayDreamer: Thank you for this challenge! I'd love to jump in as I hope to be down to 160 pounds by my birthday, which happens to be the day after Labor Day! That makes this a very convenient challenge! ;)

Happy weigh-in day to everybody. It looks like lots of you lost weight this week. What a fantastic feeling. I lost 4.2 this week and I am very happy with that. I must admit it was my first week back on My Fitness Pal so I don't expect those results every week but it was a great way to start this challenge.

Weekend and Kfunk6113, I agree, this is a hard time of the year to lose weight. I am at a conference today and tomorrow and our meals are included. They are wonderful but definitely not designed for weight loss. For instance, lunch today was salad, followed by chicken, asparagus and rissotto, with an assortment of breads, and cheesecake for dessert. I skipped the bread at breakfast and lunch, but I did eat the cheesecake. Not the best choice I know, but it is my favorite dessert so I chose to eat it. Thank goodness the conference is only 2 days. It is so much easier to make the right choices when I am at home and I am packing my lunch for work.

Daydreamer thank-you for this challenge. Have a great week everyone!

Hi darlings! Happy to be home from Louisiana safe & sound, and with only a two pound gain!! Not that any gain is a happy occasion, but I was expecting so much worse. Back on the wagon and trying hard to get back to my last weight. Have a fabulous week everyone!

Hey Weekend Boater! Hey everyone, as of today I'm 255.4 lbs. nude :woohoo: it's the lowest I've been in months I believe. Fruit is my saving grace these days, pears, apples, peaches, bananas, watermelon, etc. make AWESOME replacements for processed sweets and don't pack on the pounds like processed sweets do. I am also adding salad to a lot of my meals because it makes me feel more satisfied and feels like more of a meal that way.

joyful 4.2 lbs. is amazing, good job!! Good job skipping the bread at breakfast and lunch, all the good decisions add up!! I LOVE cheesecake and would have made the same tradeoff!!

gulf did you have a nice vacation? A 2 lb. fluctuation is nothing, good job!!!!

Nice job on your new low, candid!!

It is really nice to see so many new people joining in, welcome ladies!!!

I made it under the 200 lb. mark this week and am very excited about it!

I had an intensely busy week this week, with emotions going up and down for a couple days in a row. Everything is calm now, so today was pleasant. I had what I call a "pajama day" where I wear my p.j's all day long, and spend most of the day reading and journaling. I also spent some time looking at new recipes to try out, which always inspires me. I missed two days of my planned exercise this week and ate ice cream on those days instead. It wasn't too bad, but I'm over it now and back on track.

I've been doing pretty well with staying "close" to my calorie goal. I'm going to make a mini goal of not having a cheat day this weekend. I know cheat days can be good for a diet , but I take them way too frequently and they should be called cheat weekends! Haha

I was down to 197.6 yesterday morning but then I ended up deciding to have a cheat day at the last minute. I ate everything in sight :?: and I wasn't even hungry when I was doing it.

Great job getting back on track after your vacation, Gulf! Your numbers look amazing :carrot:

Joyful in Missouri 06-19-2017 12:08 AM

KFunk, thank-you for the encouragement and congratulations on Onederland. That is a great accomplishment. One day I will be there too.

Gulf, 30 pounds since March is extraordinary! Congratulations!
