Granny I do the same thing with a *hopeful* goal and a realistic goal. It keeps the motivation up while taking away any disappointment from unrealistic expectations. So even if I don't hit *hopeful* goal I'm still proud, and if I DO well then woohoo!!! Either way, dancing around the living room shall commence

Gulfmagnolia, of course the only REAL goal we can set is our behavior. We can strive to meet that and adjust our behavior if it does not produce the desired results!

Granny how right you are! I keep having to remind myself that all I can do is my best, and the body will do what it feels is right. Letting go of my inner control freak when I step onto the scale is something I'm still working on :) Our choices are all we can control, the rest will follow!

I have neglected my exercise this week. It's so easy for me to get lazy about it, but I vow to make a better effort to swim as much as possible this week. I am truly blessed to have my own pool, and I do appreciate the loveliness and the convenience of it, so the sensible thing to do is to use it. :p

Beginning waist measurement: 42 in.
Goal waist measurement: 39 in. (or more!)

June 9 - 20 minutes cardio for 5 days, 2 rest days.
June 16 - 3 days cardio, 2 rest days, 2 cheat days.
June 23 - 2 days cardio, 2 days weights, 1 day yoga, 2 rest days.
June 30 - 3 days cardio, 2 days weights, one day yoga, one rest day
Waist measurement - 40.5 in.
July 7 - 3 days walking, 4 days stretches.
July 14 - 2 days walking, 1 day swimming, 1 day chair yoga.
July 21 - 2 days chair yoga, 1 day slow walking, 4 rest days.
July 28 - no exercise
Measure: Waist - 39.5 (only .5 til I reach my goal, yippee!)
August 4 - 1 day swimming, one day very slow walking , 2 days skimming the pool
August 11 - 1 day swimming, one day very slow walking
August 18

I'm starting to notice how much of a difference exercising makes for me. My work schedule is nuts and has been super stressful this last week. But I'm hoping to get back in the swing of things and getting my eating and exercise back on point. I was 256.4 this morning - frustrating. I want to make goal for this challenge so badly and I'm only 2.4 pounds away.

Jrkessle I usually experience a plateau or gain RIGHT before I meet goal. So frustrating. Keep going! You can do it!

254.6 after work today. I'm hoping to see 254 tomorrow morning! Pizza for dinner tonight. I know, I know. But it's still within my calorie allotment for the day - plus we will do another 2.5 mile walk this evening. Day 3 of working 10 hour days was today. Tomorrow I work less than 5, and then I'm getting a much needed massage in the afternoon.

I was 254 after my massage today! I officially and finally hit my goal!
I also finally have a day off after tomorrow, and I'm going to spend the majority of Friday sleeping. There will also be a good walk with the dog in there. Maybe even 2! As long as I can keep at 254 or under between now and Labor Day, I will be very happy.
