Wantochange, to 3FC and to this thread. Sorry to have missed seeing you on your first post. I have only been to Mexico once and we stayed in Puerto Vallarta. I loved it there. I know very little spanish, so that was a bit challenging but very doable. Are you vacationing or living there. Hope your cold goes away soon. Pause days don't count toward the 21 days. It's nice to have pause days so you don't have to start over. Best of luck.

Ice cream challenge day 5 and its still and cosey in the fridge.
I was thinking I might do another challenge since everything most of my eating is on plan. Then I left the house without eating, ended up at Barnes and Noble which didn't have much in the way of low carb. I ended up with nuggets and water. The I saw the desserts....Blah I don't want to post food porn, but yeah..blah.
Since I'm going to my parents tomorrow, I'll start my challenge tomorrow
2 pause days.
Stay away from
Donuts
sushi
rice
potatoes
pasta
desserts
and alcohol (allowed one glass of wine when going out)
Hope you feel better wantochange. Big thumbs up on sticking to the challenge while sick
Visit to my parents wasn't great but not horrible. I'm low carbing and my bother decided brown rice was allowed and made a chinese stir fry. She's my mother and she cooked...sigh...anyway...I did manage to avoid all the other things she tried to feed me. So I'm up 1.8 lbs, but since I usually gain about 5 I'm actually kind of happy.
re-Starting me forbidden food challenge today 3 pause days.
The can the ice cream survive for 21 days challenge is going strong. I actually don't even remember the ice cream till I have to go into the freezer for something.
Sorry to say I have failed my challenge and anything resembling routine. Will take a few to lick my wounds and begin a new with perhaps a smaller challenge at this point.
Hope everyone is doing well.
wanto, Hope you are recovered by now and feeling human.

okay so that was a disASTER OTL hah
basically during camp we were only given breakfast, lunch and dinner (and I ate well during those meals) but we were basically without any food from 12pm to 8pm and literally the only option was to take ice cream with the free credits they gave us
that plus my craving for sweets led to a whooole lot of ice cream >.<
BUT even if I keep failing the one thing I don't want to do is give up because I'll get there eventually, right? So no sweets, 21 days, and...again...day one. Haha.
Thanks for the dust, workinglikeadog (;
Nice going on avoiding ice cream, Obsidianbbw

The past few weeks at work have been grueling and I neglected many things including posting here regularly, but I have been maintaining my challenge. I took one planned pause day last Saturday, which by my calculation makes this Day 12 of the no sweets challenge.
When things get exceptionally stressful at work, as they will continue to be at least through March, my impulse is to stuff myself even more full of food. I think at this point, for whatever combination of genetic and learned reasons, what feels to me like being full feels to most everyone else like being overstuffed to the point of sick.
I need to come back to TFC more regularly to get myself in a better mindset. I am inspired by my digital friends here who keep picking themselves back up and taking things day by day.
Dr. Geri, Wasn't there a time that you stopped and had a glass of water before eating? I need to develop heathier habits too. Hang in there, one day at a time.
New challenge, 10,000 steps per day for 21 days, 3 pause days possible.
Day 1 (February 12th)- success
Day 2 - done
Day 3 - It was time for evening shower and I realized I hadn't even thought about my 10,000 steps. I turned on some music and got it done! I am over consuming calories and need to do something, May have to stop and drink more water, lol.
Well ****. Pause Day #2 on Sunday, and stupid unplanned Pause Day #3 today. That means I have to make it through nine more days with no sweets to succeed at this challenge.
Diana, good idea about drinking more water -- that would interrupt impulse eating, help to feel more full, and hydrate the body's cells.
Ice cream is gone....wasn't planned was home bored in the polar vortex and just ate it...blah. I managed 12 days. I'm going to keep going only because Id like to eat it again, but Id rather wait a bit and the challenge is the best way to do that.
Im going to start my forbidden food calendar over. I had alcohol this weekend (during the moment of boredom at home) and I just hate potatoes today is a sort of planned cheat day since I'm going out with a friend. Its only 2 pause days out of 3, but I'll be happy and I wasn't exactly focused.
I need to post here more often to help stay focused
Dr Geri, glad you back and always here to support.
Dr. Ger & Obsidian, Good to see you keeping with your challenges despite the challenges. I now have a good plan for the physical and need to get my food under control better, not sure how at this point(maybe journal on line?).

Day 5 - Done, and getting easier to remember.
Day 6 (17th) - Done by mid day.
Today is my birthday and I over ate sweets yesterday, both made and received. My weight reflects it today, blah. Gonna behave better and get those 10,000 steps in.

Day 9 - In progress! ----Done!
Dr. Gerri, See you on Monday. You CAN do this.
Obsidian, I admire your persistance.
Who else would like to join the challenge?
Lets DO This
