Awe! No matter what the scale says, don't beat yourself up about it. Start fresh. Everyone has setbacks. Consider it a learning experience.

They say the quickest way to start is to jump right in. I'm in.

Thanks for starting the new thread, Avezy44!

My goal is to weigh the same on January 1 as I did on November 1. Unfortunately, I gained in November -- so, I've got some work to do!

So, I said that I wanted to get down by seven pounds, but I discovered that I'm actually starting at 166.7lbs., today. I'm going to tweak my goal, just a little:
SW: 166.7
CW: 166.7
GW: 159
Basically, I just wanna get out of the 160s!
Good luck, everybody!

skinny1444: December 31 or January 1 or whatever your closest weigh-in to those dates (or whatever works for you -- we're pretty easy!). We'll have another thread next month. It's the month after month after month that makes this challenge work so well for me.

Finally, my body let go of that bump up on the scale, and then a bit more! Out of nowhere, I lost 2.7 pounds. Hallelujah!

I have to get to 249. I'm stuck and I know it's where I need to do better.

Im so In, ive havent been motivated for the past 2 months and kinda slacking off so its time to jump back in and lose those last 10. For this im hoping for 5lbs since so close to goal makes it so hard for me to lose even one pound.

I've decided to take a scale break until my finals are all over. I feel like I depend too much on the scale to tell me how to feel about myself, so I'm not going to weigh-in until Monday the 17th. My goal is to get back on track between now and then and to see great results by that point.

Woohoo, RVAscreenwriter! Persistence pays.

A scale break can be helpful, jrkessle. I suggest you continue to post in this thread or one of the more active support threads. Without the scale ritual, you'll want some other ritual to remind you that you're focused on this task.

I was disappointed with myself for gaining weight during November, when I couldn't see a reason for it. I think I've figured out what's wrong (I kept calorie cutting, but not exercising) so I'm making my original end of November goal my new end of December goal. I have a two week holiday between Xmas and NY, so there's really no excuse not to do daily exercise (although it'll have to start next week since I'm on a no-exertion rest following a wisdom tooth removal this week!)
