Rainbow- Way to go on losing 2 pounds lady!!

Hello Nazza! You will find no namby pamby here.

Time out: I woke up, weighed in, and felt like crap this morning. I came here, I read the threads and my pity party got cut very short. The dedication and determination the people on this thread show every day is amazing. I'm grateful that in my funk I was able to come here and let it knock the cooties right out of me. Thanks guys!

So I gained this week. But next week I will not. I think I need to go back to Basic, lol. 1 pound, 3500 calories, is going to get the :censored: off me by Sunday.

Burpee challenge Day 6 & Day 7 Done.

chickadee32 12-11-2011 01:14 PM

Lost: 3.6 lbs
Trekked: Nada
Deficit: 4183 calores (for Mon-Sat)

Reported today's actual weight on the spreadsheet, but was really happy this week to see a number below 160 on the scale on two consecutive days. :) Calorie deficit this week was way lower than the 6000 I was shooting for, but given that I haven't been able to exercise at all, and spent 3 days on bed rest, it doesn't seem too bad! I was in A LOT of pain mid-week due to OHSS (fluid leaking into my abdomen) and was worried they would cancel Friday's procedure, but I got a handle on it by drinking electrolyte beverages almost exclusively (no regular water, and just a glass of skim milk each day) and focusing on eating really high protein and high sodium. Who would ever think that there could be a situation in which a diet involving daily consumption of beef jerky would be a good thing?!? But it worked, and I'm really thankful. I will still be on "light activity" the next few days, and still can't do cardio or lift more than 25 lbs for the next several weeks, but I am really feeling so much better and am hoping to start getting back to some light exercise during the second half of this week.

Resolute: I can't believe yesterday was the first day of the entire year that you "missed" your walk. :dizzy: THAT is what we call consistency and dedication!!

Thinsole: Way to keep fighting. You WILL make it happen, I'm sure. :)

Sarati, Rainbow and Tate (and josey, of course): Congrats on the losses this week!!

Hope weigh-in day goes well for everyone else too. :)

Congratz Josey!!!
:bravo::bravo::celebrate:

I gained a pound this week. :( I can;t say I am terribly surprised. While I suspect the gain is largely water, I didn't lose this week because I was more worried about running a decent 5K race yesterday. I had an official time of 0:30:23.8 and I was 14 of 92 in my age group. Next time I'll break 30 minutes! :)

Now for some coffee and then some slow easy miles today. I doubt my running partner/middle son will join me since he had a gymnastics meet after the 5K yesterday and is still sleeping right now. Tonight we will be having his birthday dinner, which will be a caloric disaster, but tomorrow morning I'll be right back at carefully counted intake and full on exercise.
