Hi ladies! I'm sorry I've been so absent this week - it was busy and stressful, as we made the major decision to begin my first IVF cycle a week from Monday instead of in mid/late December as originally planned. I am nervous and anxious, but I just have to try to relax and see how things go. I stayed on plan all week with my food intake (if not with exercise), and as of yesterday I finally saw the 160s on the scale! I need to get down another ~2 lbs by next weekend in order to meet my Thanksgiving goal, as I am expecting my weight to increase (water retention) by quite a bit once we begin the IVF cycle. So this week I really need to make sure I'm getting that gym time in!!
Louisa: Way to keep up the exercise to balance the calorie intake! I hope you had a GREAT birthday, and I am sure this week the food and drink will be a little easier to manage.
aka and Tabby: Nice job on the solid 2 lbs down, both of you!!
In2wishin: Great loss!! I hope the weekend hasn't been as tough as you had thought. I definitely find myself reverting to some old habits when I visit home - there is always a plate of some baked goods on the counter that I find it hard to resist, and I definitely don't manage to resist the temptation of having a drink or two in the evenings with my parents. I never do that at home!
suttercm: It's been really cold here too. Well, either that or *I* am just not handling even a little cold very well. It's part of the reason I haven't felt like leaving the house at night to exercise; I'm so cold inside, that I don't even want to go outdoors! I need to make myself do better at that this week.
miniDoodles: I have no good chocolate/peanut butter recipes.

But, if it were me and that's what I was craving, I would probably take a vitalicious muffin top and spread it with a Tbs of whipped peanut butter. Vitaliciouis sells a low sugar/sugar free chocolate muffin top, and when I find those at the store I always grab them. They are still very high in fiber (9 or 10g I think). The whipped peanut butter has less sugar/lower carbs than the regular peanut butter (or you could look for a natural peanut butter with no sugar added).
ange: Woohoo!! Those may seem like "soft targets", but with your weight as low as it is already, they're really not. Losing a pound per week at your weight is a GREAT rate of loss. Nice job!!
