I've really worked to keep my sodium low today and I took the night off from exercise for the first time in 8 days, and I'm hoping my body will respond by dropping a little of this water tomorrow. We shall see.

Look what the cat dragged in--I haven't been here in a while and the scales have been a little cruel this past month, so I'm ba-ack (I hope regularly)!
I was at 155 this morning. My goal is to lose 6 pounds and get below 150. I've been struggling to reach my goal of 145 for a year now, and at the beginning of October I was determined to get there by my birthday (11-7). When I saw 157 yesterday, I freaked. I've got to get back down before these crazy holidays. I know I can, but I need all the help I can get.

I went up a pound and am back where I started at 155 again, but am just starting my period, so I'm hoping I not just using that as an excuse. Lots of eating and drinking events this weekend, so I'm going to have to practice my will power--gosh, it feels like I don't even remember how to spell will power anymore, much less practice it. I need to be back here in a big way!
I've reduced my carbs, cut out liquid calories, and have been exercising everyday. Super proud of myself because I've almost lost 10 pounds total now (I'm at 8.9 as of this morning). I've never lost more than five in past attempts so this is huge for me.

Louisa: If you're like me, the best part of TOM is the water weight that drops off at the end. Something to look forward to! And I know you can stay strong this weekend - even some moderation will help!
aka: We're only on the 4th day of the month, so there's plenty of time. Some weeks the scale doesn't seem to move at all, and other weeks that weight just whooshes right off. We'll send the whoosh fairy your way!

I have seen some nice movement on the scale the past two days, down 3.3 lbs, which is the water weight I've been holding on to for the last week finally dropping off. Unfortunately, I think it only happened because I forgot to take my BCP the last two nights. I'm afraid catching up on my pills will mean the water weight will come back on, but I'm trying to stay optimistic.

First week in November is just about over... how is everyone doing so far??
Some weight has really dropped off for me this past week, and though it's definitely simply weight that I previously lost finally showing up on the scale, it still feels really good after the frustration I've had over the last 7 weeks. As of today I'm at 171.1, which leaves me with 3.2 lbs more to lose for November. I'd love to lose a lot more than that this month, but I don't want to count my chickens too early!

good news for you Chickadee, let's hope its also the start of a whoosh for you and you drop those extra 3.2lb just as quick!
I don't really know what i weigh. I was 123/124 two weeks ago, then i went away for 10 days and would have put a bit back on, maybe to 126 at a guess. Since then i've been travelling on planes (weight goes weird) and sleeping at strange times to get back to normal (eating at weird times) and then yesterday i did a 100km bike race in 90F temp (dehydrated) and today i've done a 3hr trek at same temps (still dehydrated!!), so basically i don't even think it's worth weighing myself for a couple of days until i can settle back down to some more normal way of life! I am interested to know what i end up with after all that though. I suspect i'll still be at arounnd 125lb, my starting weight for Oct, if i'm lucky!
Hello everyone. Hope that everyone is doing well. Got on the scale for my Monday morning weigh in and was down 2 pounds. 1/3 down, 4 more pounds to go for the month. Everyone have a great day.
Down 2.5 lbs so far this month! Getting lots of walking in - hope the nice weather holds on a little longer. Should have gotten up early today to get my walk in, but will have to squeeze it in later.
Hey Chicks Well my big dreaded WI at my TOPS club was last Thursday. I was sure I gained after all the chocolate I had + some candy-corn from Halloween, but I LOST 1# Of the 28 members in my club, only 4 of us had a loss.
Today I decided that If I'm going to eat candy, I'll make it myself, with healthy recipes using fruit vs sugar & include flax/fiber. I hope not to have a gain this week, I broke my toe Friday & I can't walk/exercise, etc for 3-4 wks or the bone will not heal
