  • Hi everyone! Late getting into this, but I'm in...

Goals for this month is to drop 8lbs and keep up with ALL of my workouts. Pulled a muscle in my lower back last Tuesady and now my sciatic nerve is going crazy so I'm going through a major setback. The ultimate goal is to have a lean body for bikini-ing on the beach. I'm not far off, but bleh...not in high spirits at the moment.

    SW (as of today): 178.6
    GW: 170
  • Hey all! Weigh in was so/so today still holding at 204 no loss which I had expected from my cruddy week last week. Going to stick to plan hoping to be down for Saturdays weigh in. I've gotten in 3 days of fantastic workouts so off to a good start
  • Hello! Just a quick drop in to say "hi!" Nothing major to report. I've been pretty stagnant and now my back is killing me, so that's not so fun. Hopefully I can get into the chiro Friday and be all better.
  • Quote: I've been reading a book that suggests our minds control our bodies, even so far as to either lose or retain weight depending upon how our thoughts are bending. Does anyone believe that?
Gwen- I do up to a point.
When I'm really focused on losing weight, I sometimes will visualize the numbers on the scale one by one moving downward as I fall asleep. It seems to work for me
  • Good morning! I'm happy to say as of today I'm down 2lbs., so only 3 more to go before I reach my goal for this month.

    SW 269
    CW 267
    GW 264 (for april)
  • cajun moma - well done!
  • Thanks so much SBD Sass. It sure felt good to get a good surprise on that scale for a change. lol
  • SBD Sass, you've been added to the list below!

susie: Nice job staying on plan and checking in regularly! You're doing exactly as you made it your goal to do.

carved: I definitely tend to forget and/or skip meals when I'm really busy at work too. At least you didn't see any gains though, and I'm sure you'll be down by Saturday with all your workouts!

Gwen: I wish I felt like I might be able to control water retention, etc. mentally, but I think for me it's mostly sleep (or lack thereof) and hormones. Or voodoo! lol

OhMyDogs: Back on track is good, and you still have a net loss! Plenty of time to catch up during the rest of this month.

MsP and SBD: I hope both of you are feeling better physically soon! Please be careful in the meantime - back pain is nothing to fool around with.

    cajun moma: Nice job!!!

Work has been crazy the past few days, and so I missed 3 days of exercise, but I've been on plan calorie-wise and was happy to see the scale down this morning! That's 4.6 of 8 lbs down, so just 3.4 lbs to go this month. I am really hoping I'll make through Passover ok and get to my goal for April - will do my best!

  • Check In Time
    Planning an OP day
  • Feeling a bit better today. Food is better except a piece of pie today. Time is too short!
  • Okay - I've stayed 100% on plan thus far (yay) however it looks like I'm going to have a gain this week (weigh in day tomorrow) That 10lbs goal is looking pretty damn daunting now eep!
  • chickadee32 - thanks!

My back is feeling so much better today. So that means it looks like I'm back in the home gym tonight after not working since last Friday. It feels weird not to workout, but that's another story. I won't be doing any back workouts unfortunately because I'm kinda afraid the pain will return. It's not completely gone either, but today yesterday and today I am able to bend over and sit in comfort. Yay for me!

    My status...
    SW (as of 4/12/11): 178.6
    GW: 170
    Today: 176.4
  • Well, my April Weight Loss Challenge goal was to lose 8lbs by the end of the month. I hit that goal today! WOOHOO!

So I will strive to lose 4 more pounds by the end of this month, which would put me at 265.8lbs
  • This is a bit late but I want to jump in for the remainder of the month.

    1. Write in my food journal daily.
    2. Don't eat past 8pm
    3. Exercise 5 times a week.
    4. Lose 5 lbs
  • OhMyDogs: Congratulations on meeting your monthly goal!!! How awesome.

Deanna, you've been added to the goal list below!

As of this morning I was down 7.5 lbs for this month, and so I'm hoping I'll see that last 0.5 lbs within the next few days! Then I just need to keep on track through Passover and not gain anything back that I'll have to take off again before the end of the month. I am feeling confident that I can do it.
