Check In Time :)
OP yesterday - looking forward to another good day today.

Hope your day is a good one :carrot:

Ms Perception 06-14-2010 10:08 AM

'Morning, ya'll! Happy Monday! I hope the weekend didn't do too many of us in. I know I ate slightly more than my alloted calories both days with being at a potluck one day and at my parents' the other. Otherwise, I was mostly OP and my weight just fluctuated about half a pound. This is a nice fresh week to enjoy healthy choices and smaller numbers on the scale (I hope!). I am going to get some extra fiber and water today and flush out the extra cals from the weekend. Happy OP day, everyone!

NightAngel-How's that Wii injury? Hope you're recovered and back to hula hooping in no time! Excellent job going for the salad at McD's. Did you get light ranch? The regular is a calorie/fat nightmare (but sure is tasty). About the binge...it happens, just get right back on track and don't let it sidetrack you!

susiemartin-You're pluggin away and doing great. I had a similar fluctuation after the potluck yesterday and just figured it'll come off today for sure and I'm not gonna worry about it. It's the stuff we do 90% of the time that dictates our success.

eclipse-You're on a good pace to make goal. I know the slow pace can be annoying, but at least you're losing! I wish I could take 3 steps forward WITHOUT taking 2 steps back, but I allow myself a few too many indulgences. ;)

onestar-Here's hoping for a new number on the scale! I can be frustrating to see the same number over and over when we really want to see it go DOWN! Make sure you're eating enough, though. I know the heat can knock our appetites right out, but it's important to still get our calories in. Good job on the workout!

LouisaH-You asked for it... :drill: It's time to get your butt in gear! You know what you should be eating. Don't let the stress and "convenient" foods sidetrack you from feeding your body properly! :club: Don't make me come over there! I'm sure, if you're logging your food, you can take an honest look at what you've been eating lately and find areas that are in need of improvement. If neccessary, you can also see if your exercise routine is challenging enough for you and how you could improve that as well. Now on a lighter note: Have some :dust: and take some for the road...:dust: and have a great day!

girlieyorkie-Nice progress!

knobhdy 06-14-2010 10:22 AM

I did it. I am down 5.8 pounds so far this month, putting me slightly over my goal.

I am going to keep chugging for the rest of the month, and hopefully I can make another 5 pounds or so down.

LouisaH 06-14-2010 10:59 AM

Thanks MsP! I know exactly what I'm doing wrong. I'm not saying no to the things that I know are my "hotspots"--you know the things that make you want more and more and can never satisfy you. For some people that's potato chips, but I could go the rest of my life without one and never miss them. Another thing I'm doing is not eating lean enough meats--I've had more sausage in the past month than I have in the past four months. And I'm being lax about figuring out calories before I start eating and saying no if I've reached my limit. So thanks for the talking to! I'm feeling like I'm back on track now, and I'm going to try to do more circuit training and boost my metabolism. I am going to look back at my OP days to see where and how I was getting my calories and try to start eating like that again. Although my food is dictated by seasonal eating, so that might be kinda moot. With the abundance of good produce in my life right now, it should be easy.

knobhdy: awesome for you, can I borrow whatever comes off for the rest of the month? I've only lost 2.4 of my 10 for this month.

susiemartin: you are doing great!

onestar: you'll see a drop soon. I sometimes see my weight stabilize just before a drop down. Eat a nice cold fruit and milk smoothie, maybe with a tablespoon of nut butter to get your calories in when it's too hot to cook and you don't have much of an appetite!

NightAngel: MsP gave me quite a bit of will power dust, and I'm happy to share if you want to use a little to get you through TOM.:dust:

eclipse: congratulations on the halfway mile marker!

Today the scale said 170 (again). Actually, this is as close to that previously seen but ever elusive 169.8 I've been, and this is the last of the 170s for me. I am done with them. The love affair is over. I guess I just wasn't ready to done being overweight. I am entering the "normal" weight range for my height in .7 pounds and there's no looking back. lol

goodnuff 06-14-2010 11:00 AM

Quick check in. Had my roadtrip last week and I would say I stuck to my plan about 75% of the time which I am okay with. There is room (and time) for improvement. However, my goals for the month fell by the wayside around mile marker 300. Getting back on top of it this week. I didn't make it to a WW meeting last week because by the time I got back in town there were no more meetings for the week. I will go on Thursday and will update my weight at that time.
Make it a great week everyone!

ap90 06-14-2010 11:05 AM

I've been on plan but the weight loss is stalled right now. Maybe I'll do an extra 20 minutes at the gym or something today.

dangerouscurves76 06-14-2010 08:36 PM

Time to check-in. I had a pretty decent weekend. Managed to stay OP with diet/exercise and maintained my weight! :carrot: I've stalled on weight loss for about 3 days now. I'm hoping and praying that I see a lower number on the scale tomorrow. :crossed:

Hope everyone is hanging in there. Good luck this week!

NightAngel26 06-14-2010 09:43 PM

alrighty...

Thanks for the willpower dust I'll need it.

Well, over night I gained up to 232...and I'm guessing that's my real TOM gain because it was so instantaneous....eh... ok fine...as long as it leaves.

I'm still having fun...or not fun with my wii fit, and honestly I just have really bad balance...I just rank out of all the balance games...but hey in truth I'm there for fun cardio stuff anyway. Hula hooping queen I am, and getting better at bicycling and kung fu. :carrot:

I'm managing a half hour on the wii every day so far, and sometimes even some time on my bikes.

I forgot who has the gorgeous midriff pic down there but if that's you...wooo! a girl can dream....that'll never be me of course... but eh.... thin would do nicely.... I'll always be a bit of a zebra.... I guess it runs in the family :dizzy:

Knobhdy-Congrats! You keep going woman. You'll definitely get another few pounds gone by month's end!

LouisaH-Glad to have helped! I know you eat what's in season, but you know it's still all about choices. You were able to idenitfy a couple things to change and that'll make a big difference. Now leave those 170's in the dust! No more being overweight for you!

NightAngel-Glad you're still making good use of your Wii. It's an excellent way to be active at home. Now, let's get rid of that TOM weight and move on to better things!

dangerouscurves-My fingers are crossed for ya!

ap90-Good plan! Add something to your workout or adjust calories and see what happens...let us know.

goodnuff-It's hard to make it to a WW mtg while on vacation, but it's good that you're getting right back to it. Sometimes vacations throw us some real "curve balls" in terms of food. Sounds like you handled it well, so great job!

I was able to get to the pool tonight before my small group met, so I worked off the extra cals I took in "sampling" my cookies I baked for the kids this afternoon. Dang it! I just have to learn to say no to my own baking! I gave the kids some after summer school then gave the rest away to a friend, so now I can't make that mistake again tomorrow. Otherwise, had a good day.

Nicki Rini 06-15-2010 08:41 AM

My goals for June are:
1. Drink 64oz of water a day
2. Have Soup as 1 meal a day
3. Have Veggies as 1 meal a day
4. Swim 2 hours a day 3xs week
5. Loose 15lbs (224cw/209/gw)

susiemartin 06-15-2010 09:33 AM

Check In Time :)

Another OP day yesterday

Ms. P - I know just what you mean about sampling your own baking.
I bake for a farm stand & farmer's market. Sometimes it's really hard - white flour & sugar stuff just calls my name  For me it's best to not even get started. Once I start eating that stuff I won't stop....for at least 4 months to a year!

Hope everyone has a great day!

Lewisempire 06-15-2010 10:09 AM

Hi Ladies,
I am back from the Lake (no internet there), My eating was not horrendous, and I surely burnt it all of swimming, diving, skiing. I feel like an abused rag doll. LOL can't wait to head back on Thursday.
So last night, I came up with a new (old) strategy to try at least while I am not at the lake. I am plannng/writing my whole day out the night before. NO room for feeling hungry, and no running out of calories at the end. It has worked for me before. I just needed to sit and write it out. I also found a local organization that gives free exercise classes like Zumba, pilates, line dancing, water aerobics! I am so excited for some change, and some people to work out with ( NO offense to my dog) So as soon as I can move without whimpering agaIn I am gonna go for a class.

SusieMartin- I hear you with the sugar/white flour. My Mom has always told me that white sugar is refined just like cocaine.....I don't know if she is right but it sure feels that way when I eat it! Stay strong... and OP today!

NikiRini-:welcome: Good luck with your goals! This is a wonderful group of ladies here!

Nightangel
-Ugh, I hate the overnight weight crud! It can be so disheartening!
Dangerouscurves- :goodluck: Have a great week!
Ap90- Keep hanging in there, maybe you will have a big whoosh come along! That would be awesome!
Msp- You got this thing Dialed in!!! they made cookies at the lake this weekend, and i really had to struggle not to eat them, and not to mention the dough! You should be SUPER proud of yourself and your willpower! You go girl!
Goodnuff-Glad you had fun on your road trip! Sounds like you did pretty well considering how hard it is to diet on the road. Good for you!
Knobhdy CONGRATS! It must feel FANTASTIC! Keep on trucking!!:D

ap90 06-15-2010 10:21 AM
