Sheesh Tummy, can I just copy and paste some of your personals? Hey everyone, I agree with everything Tummy said. Okay, thanks, that was much easier!
Okay, really though, I don't have much time for personals, so hi and welcome to all the newcomers! Look forward to hearing about your progress! Knobhdy: I feel your pain. My body was in a long-term relationship with 196.point.everything for nearly two weeks, and somehow I finally convinced it "He's no good for you, you deserve better!" Eventually it dumped that SOB. So, I'm happy to join your pity party and give you a well-deserved Poor Baby or two. Whe you work this hard, you want more gratifying results. Congratulations that you aren't wanting to drown your sorrows in food! Tummy: the prospect of running 6.5 miles makes me think of Dave Barry saying that whenever he gets the urge to exercise, he'll just lie down until the feeling goes away. Good luck with the getting all the studying and exercise in--you'll get your routine down. MsP: you've got me thinking about getting back to swimming. I used to swim with my sister when I was 15 and in the best shape ever. So I decide to try out for swinm team at school, and I couldn't keep up AT ALL. I was shocked--even the bigger girls could outswim me hands down. I turned tail and ran. But I loved how I felt after swimming. Wait, as I recall, I always felt HUNGRy. But as I also recall, I felt like I really earned that hunger. I hate to say it, but my not wanting to put my fat butt in a swimsuit in public has really kept me from being the water bug my Scorpio sign longs to be. I am definitely going to start swimming again this summer. I don't expect I will feel like I haven't taken a break from it since I'm now 43 and 15 was a long long time ago! I expected to drop a good amount of weight for all the time wasted with that 196 hanger-on, but I only got to 193.6 Wednesday, down to 193.4 yesterday, and back to 193.6 today. If my body decides to have a two week affair with 193.point.everything, I am trading this defective piece of junk in for a younger, more efficient model. Gotta go fix dinner. Happy Friday! |
Tummy-That's a fantastic idea! Tomorrow will start 7 days with no unplanned food. Tonight I broke that with a meal out with DH at the last minute. I'm not expecting to be set back too much because of it, but we'll see.
LouisaH-That sounds like a good idea...getting back tot the pool this summer, I mean. It's such a fantastic form of exercise! dancerindenver-Don't be too impressed. I'm not very competitive, but maybe someday.... So, we ate out. I ate more than I would've at home, but I didn't stuff myself either, so we'll call it even. Now, I'll go drink a gallon of water! |

ooooh - it feels so official to be added to the list - thanks, Ms P!
LouisaH - what plan are you on? or more accurately, what are you doing that got you to blow through that last plateau? I hear you on the swimsuit front - the most traumatic part to me is shopping for bathing suits - yikes! |
Thanks to all for your support :) It makes it the journey a little easier.
Dancerindenver: :welcome2: to the March Challenge :) |
Hello Ladies :)
Hopefully it's not too late to join in this March Challenge. I just officially joined tonight after reading through many posts on the site. It's so motivating and comforting to know others are in the same boat and to see the incredible successes! My goal.... I'm Vegas bound the end of April (Girls Weekend with friends) and have a goal weight of 270. I'm splitting my goal in half, so by the end of March my goal is to hit 279 and exercise at least 3x each week. SW: 288 GW: 279 knobhdy - I totally know how you feel! I've been perfect for the last 3 weeks, week 1 great loss, week 2 OK loss, this week... at a standstill... even up 2 pounds! What the heck! I'm trying to stay focused, I did measure today and have lost inches... that was motivating since the scale and I are not friends this week ;) Keep on going, you're doing great, don't let the scale freak you out (I'll try to take my own advice too, lol) |
Hi All!
I would like to be added to the list too! I just joined this morning and am so grateful for finding a site like this. My goal weight loss for March is 8 pounds. SW: 220 GW: 212 Can't wait to see everyone's results at the end of the month. :) |

Hi ladies and welcome to all the newcomers! Not enough time for personals, but I did want to stop by and post pics of my 100 pounds lost tattoo. I was there at the tattoo shop all day (11-8) and all we got done was the black, so I have to book another full day just to do the color! Am not looking forward to that because just the black hurt like a mo-fo, and there is twice as much color to do.....eep! I've attached photos--if you can imagine it, there will be a rainbow created by colors inbetween the music lines. The colors will come down to spiral off. Below the music lines will be a bunch of blue/teal hues that match up to the rainbow (last color on the rainbow will be purple), and the blues will have some more little stars to create a sky like effect. The stars won't be outlined really when it's done, they'll just be negative space surrounded by the color. FYI the music notes are my daughter's initials (ABC).
Well, the scale was down 3 pounds this week, but I have another date tonight, and I'm not planning on being POP for that, so I'm probably not going to weigh for a few days, lol. Kinda weird as I haven't been on a date in 5 years and now I'm going on 2 in one week! Hope you ladies all have fantastic ladies and wishing you all wooshes! |
:welcome: to all the new-comers! Glad you found us!
Just a quick post to say I am on plan, and plan to stay that way. I struggled a little last night, but all in all stayed within the range (while everyone was eating "all you can eat ribs" So yay for me! I don't have much time for personals, gotta get going before I find my head in the refrigerator looking at things i shouldn't be eating......I hope everyone is having a Fantastic weekend, and staying true to themselves, and the goals they set! Big hugs to everyone:hug: |
jessicado That's going to be beautiful when it's done! It;s pretty already, even without the color. Is it bad manners to ask how much something like that costs to get done? I want to get a tatoo when I'm a little closer to goal weight, and I'm trying to start planning now. Congrats on the three lbs AND the date. Have fun!
Well, Aunt Flo has fnally, it seems, packed her bags and left. My apologies in advance to whomever's house she crashes at next. I've finally seen a little downward movement on the scale this morning and I'm down to 244.4, or 1.2 lbs down for the week. That's a low loss week for me, but considering that AF has been here, I'm still dealing with a lot of back pain, and a few other health issues, I'll take it. At this point, I'm happy as long as the scale isn't going up. Anyhow, challenge progress: Starting Weight: 245.6 Current Weight: 244.4 Goal weight: 238 1.2 lbs lost, 6.4 to go |
hello...
Welcome new people!
This site is pretty awesome and so is this thread. I think you'll like it, and it's nice to see how others are doing and get help with things. jessicado- wow that's a cool tat so far... big black lines though... does it hurt more around your elbow? I've heard that. I only ahve a smallish one on the back of my shoulder. |
jessicado - ouch and wow all in one - that looks gorgeous but painful! Enjoy your date and congrats on the impressive losses this week!
eclipse - Nice job on the 1.2! lewis - I hear you on the need to get out and get going - just did a run this morning and am heading back to the old house to work on packing (I'm in the process of moving into a new house) - hopefully it will keep me focused on non-food stuff! jenntx and hellome - nice to see some other newcomers to this thread! Looking forward to us all having lots to celebrate about by the end of the month... |
I know its late but I would like to join..
Starting weight: 205 Goal weight end of March: 199 (onderland) |
Morning!
LouisaH - lol, i love that quote too! I think I may have used it a few times myself, before that is ;) Hopefully, your love affair with 193 is over already, I will keep reading... MsP - Ok, it's on! lol. I would really just like to string 7 days together, it would feel just marvelous. Dancer - Welcome to the list, it's super cool when you get to be red and on the list too. Aluxa - You are very welcome, whatever helps :) Hello - Welcome to the board, and the thread! Good luck on that goal and I look forward to you trucking along and meeting it too. Jenntx -Welcome to you too! Jellofer - Happy 100lbs lost to you girl! That's an awesome present and I love the treble clef, that's fantastic. I can imagine that was a bit ouch with the elbow and inner arm in there. Tough like nails! LE - Good job on the less than you can eat ribs! i think that's why sleep is so good for weight loss, you don't get out heads stuck in the fridge that way. Eclipse - Congrats on that loss, little or not, they do all add up in the end :) Hope your back is feeling better soon, that always makes the days seen very long to me. Nightangel - LTBH - Welcome back :) Ok, so that morning run didn't work today or yesterday, lol, but dh got a call out to work so it's probably not best to go running and leave your 3 year old home alone. I'll plan it again for this week coming up and see if i can do at least some of them in the am. Going to hit the books some more and enjoy another warm and sunny day around here. |
Tummy Hope you are able to get your run in this week :) How's the classes going? I am going to enjoy a beautiful day here as well.
Today DH had to work and the boys are out with friends, it so quiet in the house but I am busy getting laundry and cleaning done today. Always seems after Saturday when all the boys are home a tornado went through my house LOL. Hopefully I will get it back in order in just a couple of hours. I haven't had any weight loss this week but I am feeling much better I will take anything. So I guess for me it will just be slow and steady LOL Hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday !!! |
