Very positive day :) I spent three hours at the gym, I really only worked hard for an hour and then rode the bike and walked the treadmill for two hours while watching 2 episodes of the biggest loser. I always feel like a lump for watching TV, so the deal is, if I want to watch TV, I have to work out while doing it. Our gym has their own tv's on all the cardio equipment so it works out awesome. It's a good thing that I don't watch too much TV, or I might wither away :) I did about 20 miles on the bike and 5 on the treadmill. Not bad for a lazy, rainy Sunday. I worked out my lower body with weights prior to that, I felt pretty shaky :)
AJ - you go girl with a fancy new scale and a new day tomorrow...I so agree with Dance's comments - you can do this... Pam - you are a size 14 - holy crap would never know it. Goes to show that size means F all sometimes!! Hope you had fun on the bike ride today!! Tiff - oh I can so relate to what you said, I've been losing and regaining the same 10 pounds since April - I am determined to not regain it again!! And I think for me, I go too hard at things (exercise and eating) and then I get frustrated and it all goes to ****. So I am being (well trying to) a bit more accepting that I don't need to be perfect and if I want chocolate so bad, to have some. I am convinced trying too hard to be perfect is what is sabotaging me. Good job on the bike ride today, my bum was sore to and I was in the bike seat at the gym which is built to be more comfortable :) Congrats on the loss Neesy! Hope that headache/hangover disappears soon! Well I am off to get some work done. Night everyone |
AJ - I can relate to the new bedding...or clean sheets right out of the dryer...heaven - it's the simple things like that - can sure make our day!
Enjoy!! |
Simple, a loss is a loss and for that congratulations! You are right, Tom can really change things and cause you not to lose that extra 2 or 3 lbs. Also, Woo Hoo on the 11 mile run!!!!!! Gosh that is totally amazing. I am happy to make it 3 miles! LOL..
Popcorn, congratulations on the 4lbs loss, that is huge! I know you feel better, lighter and proud of yourself, as you should. Tiff, you are really on your way with 9lbs down. Gosh that is toally amazing and I know you are feeling good. How long are you going to do this cleanse? Pam, can I sooo relate to no snow as I am 2 hours south of you....LOL....us Florida girls. This weather is awesome isn't it, but I do wish we had change of seasons, as it would be perfect then. Neesy........LOL.......glad your having a good time, and maybe you lost from some cardio???? You know husband being around........LOL.......sorry couldn't resist. AJ you are right on. I love, love, love going to be knowing they are clean, crips, cool sheets. Gosh, I would wash them everyday if I could! LOL.. Staccie you are at such a great place know and I am sooo proud of you! It sounds like your workout was awesome, and I too enjoy the Biggest Loser because it motivates me to move my a**......LOL Today was work, work, work, but I am home now and relaxing.......finally. Today was good, but no workout, but food was alright. I am down 3lbs from last week and it is 7lbs from the start of the competition. I will check in before bed ;-) How is Lindy and Dance?? |
Tiff- Wow thank you so much I cant wait to reach my goal. You totally made my day saying I looked like I wear a 8. I hope one day to actually fit into a pair of 8s. Grats on the ride. Isnt it relaxing and energizing all at the same time? We only did 10.5 miles because it started to get dark too soon and the path doesn't have lights. But it felt awesome to be back on my bike again.
Aj- I LOVEEEE new bedding. LOVE LOVE LOVE. Nothing like 1200 thread count sheets and a thick warm comforter. Im obsessed with decorating (I should have been an interior designer) I see stuff and instantly imagine it somewhere. Staccie- I have always been able to fool people because of my height I guess it has its advantages. My brother in law actually guess my weight 30lbs lighter than what I actually weigh, so It made me feel awesome. Grits- Tell me about it. I get so sick of summer summer summer summer. Dont get me wrong I love the heat but come on cant we get something different for a change? I really want a white Christmas SOOOOO BAD. To me Christmas is hot chocolate and warm pjs and opening presents by the tree with frost on the window while its snowing outside. Not everyone in shorts sipping eggnog in 80degree weather. |
Pammy why did you have to go and mention eggnog?!? I haven't had my token bottle of eggnog this year and now it is going to be in the back of my mind!
Mygrits...awesome weight loss!!!!You are killing it this challange! I am thinking about doing the cleanse until a day or two before Thanksgiving and slowly get back to eating. That would be like 12 days total. Wait that can't be right. I am on day 6 so all next week would be 13, then Mon and Tues of Thanksgiving week, so that would be 15. Lol. That's better. I can do math I promise. However, I may have to break it before then to get tests run on my Thyroid. I don't want to mess up the results because I wasn't eating. We'll see what they say on Wednesday. That's my initial appointment. Um, today I am hungry. Have been all day. I forgot to mention when I went with my mom yesterday, I just got a small side salad and ate like half of it. So I really didn't break the cleanse too bad. I think this should be really motivating for my future dieting. To just be able to think back, of course I can say no to that one bad thing. I didn't eat solid food for 2 weeks! I do hope tomorrow is better though for my appetite! |
Tiff- Lol on the eggnog. I LOVE eggnog and I actually tried to make my own two days ago and failed miserable. Eggnog is one thing I wont be giving up but only allowing myself some in moderation.
|
Thanks for the compliments, but the same goes out to you all - your doing great! Tiff and Pam.............EGGNOG, oh gosh I could drink a gallon of it. I LOVE eggnog, and it loves my hips! LOL........ Pam I agree, Christmas is snowmen, frosted windows, eggnog, hot cocoa, fireplaces burning, ice skating rinks and snowflakes in the window. Awww, I miss it. ;-(
Well, I guess I will go to bed. I didn't behave tonight, so I KNOW I have to workout tomorrow morning before work. I need to kick it back in for the week! My new goal is 208, NO EXCUSES! |
Pam- My parents make the best home made (STRONG) eggnog every year. It is so good but it takes like 3 days. I will ask for the recipe tomorrow.
Okay. I am going to text Lindy in the AM. Well for her it will prob be lunch time. lol. 2 hour time difference. I have been eating a lot of oranges to keep my blood sugar high so that I don't crave all of the soda right away. Thats myweak spot. SODA! some people like cake... I like soda. Nothing like 2 cups of sugar for breakfast lunch and dinner. ha. Okay good night and I will be trying to rejoin you all in the morning. Skinny dreams girls! |
ARG!!! I thought halloween was over and I didn't have to worry about candy temptation anymore! there is a giant bowl of candy in the kitchen and I already had 4 bite size snickers in less than an hour. oh my. its gonna be one of those days. I guess I am off the cleanse. I need one of you guys here slapping my hand everytime I try to go for more candy. Plus chickfila is in the back of my mind so it is going to take all of the willpower in the world to keep me from going there for lunch. UGH.

Good morning everyone!
Fortunately, I don't like eggnog so all your talk about it won't tempt me. AJ - I am so soda addicted and not that crappy tasting diet stuff I like the good sugary regular soda. But I gave it up almost 10 years ago. I can still conjure up the wonderful taste of it though especially the fountain soda. Mmmmm. Of course not drinking soda anymore hasn't kept me from putting weight on twice since I gave it up. Oh well, I tell myself that it would have been worse if I still drank it. Especially when I drank it with something salty like chips or POPCORN because I would drink the sweet soda then balance it with the salty then have to balance that with the sweet - a not stop cylce. A week of rain is predicted here. Does the rain throw any other of you outside exercisers into a funk? Wishing everyone a good day today. |
and I've moved on to the smarties...
|
TIFF- NO! *slap* HANDS OFF =) Hide them so you are not tempted.
Popcorn- That is my current weakness. Fountain drinks with lots of ice. Ugh this morning is hard. Apparently the 5 hours of sleep I got was good enough for my body because I am up. I am going to be either napping or cranky today. lol. |
Morning girls!
Tiff - It's fine if you don't want to continue with the cleanse but can you get rid of the candy in the bowl? Put it in the garbage and pour something nasty all over it? Your hubby can live without for a bit just to help you out, right? You've been doing so well - you know you want your losing streak to continue!! aj - fluffy bedding is the best -totally agree! Hope you can get in a nap - that doesn't sound like nearly enough sleep! mygrits - woohoo on your losses - you are doing SOOO well!!! Okay, what are you doing foodwise? I need some inspiration! Lindy - we miss you! Hope you had a great weekend! pammy - when you move to chicago, you'll definitely be getting your fill of chilly weather! I've been there a few times in dec/jan for work and brrr! Fun opportunities to wear cute winter clothes though :) popcorn - I guess I'm weird but I actually like running in the rain. Maybe you need some inexpensive rain exercise gear, like a new windbreaker in a pretty color from one of the discount stores or something to get you psyched about it. I usually run in the rain in a baseball cap so it doesn't get in my eyes or on my face so much. Hope the weather turns around for you guys! No exercise for me today but got in a few long walks over the weekend and am going to do one of my new workout videos tomorrow if the snow hasn't melted. |
Dancer - I have a really good rain coat that I bought from one of those outdoor specialty catalogs. It works great because it keeps you dry but you don't sweat. But I fell in some sludge a couple of years ago. It was under a pile of leaves and I stepped in it. It looked like a cartoon moment where you step on a banana peel - I literally went up in the air and landed flat on my back on asphalt. Since then I guess I have been a little hesitant to be out in the Fall when it is wet since you can't tell with the leaves where you are stepping. Even some of our sidewalks are covered around here. But I have thought about being brave and venturing out in it as I mentioned to my husband. Thanks for the encouragement.

I can't hide them!!! they're in the office kitchen for everyone to have! I have to go in there every hour or so to fill up my water bottle. but I think I'm ok now. I let myself have one more snickers and I ate ate a vig bowl of grits so I wasn't starving and I am telling myself I can't have anymore. no more! lol. I was fine with candy last week, what's my issue now???
