Ok girls, short and sweet post. Im somewhat aggitated these days with weight loss, my main focus right now is maintaining, in which I am doing that, thank god. SO---that being said, after being a regular poster for the past year, I am taking a break from the forum. Im sorry girls, I dont mean to disappoint and I have every intention on checking in occasionally but right now, I need to focus on some other priorities and dont have the drive to diet. I will continue with my exercise bc frankly, I feel better doing it. But Ill be taking a break for 3-4 weeks from the forum or if Im ready sooner, so be it. Ill see a lot of you on FB, so thats good. :)

Quick check in - very hectic week with Thanksgiving and the boys coming home. I have a long list of things to try to get done today and I want to get them done without them sabatoging my efforts so far.
I may not get a chance to check in until tomorrow. Lindy, you most likely won't see this but - wishing you a good break until we hear from you again. I hope everyone has a good day. |
I'm definitely seeing a trend with a lot of us having a hard time doing all the right things because of winter weather, lack of access to fruits and veggies like in the summer and dark mornings and evenings. It makes me so incredibly glad that I got going on this particular adventure in May so I could take full advantage of what I'm coming to think of as the weight-loss friendly part of the year :) And those who are taking a bit of a break - hey - if you're ever going to take a maintenance break (notice, I *didn't* say 'gain it all back again'), around thxgiving and xmas (or whatever your favorite winter celebration is) is certainly not a bad time to do it.
We ended up having a great day yesterday despite the 4am start (no nap for me after all). We went for a 4.5 mile walk and then ran a bunch of errands which somehow ended up being sort of fun - I guess it was crossing a bunch of stuff off my list. I've been looking online at other houses in the area before I commit to remodeling the kitchen and it's freaking me out a bit - I've found a few I may have to go take a look at to see if they have a fatal flaw or two. Burgundy - wouldn't it be amazing if you can stay on track this week and get to 203 by next Sunday? I would be seriously impressed if you lost weight thxgiving week! popcorn - looks like we matched mileage yesterday! aj - I hope deciding not to diet for a bit doesn't mean you'll go away and leave us! We'd miss you way too much!!! staccie - your life sounds so much livelier than mine - I've never heard of a gay 80s pool party in November no less and the mind boggles at so much equipment on display. I've had 80s parties and been to pool parties and the occasional gay party but never all at once and with clothing optional - wow! Hope the face is totally back to normal! I know what you mean about sweat stinging though - I've had that kind of problem before - ouch! Hope you awake feeling well rested and ready to tackle the challenging week. It's a short week for us here but not in Canada right? You guys had your thanksgiving a month or so ago if memory serves. Have a nice day ladies! I hope most of you will keep posting through this week of what I'm sure will be food temptations. I did okay with cals yesterday - I think around 1450. Am going to shoot for less today. Mygrits - let's keep doing this this week, okay? We can skip turkey day if you like! ;) |

Good morning girls :)
Well I'm ready to start another day - another week. My face looks much better - still a bit dry and itchy but definitely healing up nice. I am heading back to the gym tomorrow and will bring a nice soft towel to help with the irritation. I haven't worked out really since Thursday and I am definitely missing it. Foodwise yesterday - not good, not bad. I'm not eating much but what I am is high calorie. I need to focus. A few girls and I were chatting at work last night about how much weight we gained here and how important it was to be healthy for working 60 some days without a day off! I just don't get why this is so hard to make good choices! Grrrr - oh well I am going to keep trying!! I will weigh in on Friday and I also get my measurements done. Dance - yeah it's gotta be the weather, the holiday season - whatever or the people that have done really well - just need a break. Maybe it's nature's way of expecting us to bulk up and keep warm. But I refuse to skip another summer of wearing cute dresses and shorts and god forbid maybe even a bathing suit! I think this whole thing is exhausting - and I can't wait to maintain but I have a long way to go before that happens. But I can't think that way. Sounds like you had a good and productive day yesterday!!! Dance - my exciting life - heh heh - it happens every once in awhile. Vancouver is very open - can't find the right word lol. I came from a small town, then a small redneck kind of city so coming here created a lot of shock value!! Popcorn - good luck on getting everything done!!! Thanksgiving is a bigger deal in the us and in canada - at least when I have done comparisons. We had ours a month or so ago so I don't get a short week - ewww. We will see a loss this week for both of us!!! Well I wont' be able to check in probably all day as I have meetings from 9-5 - yuck. Must eat well today, must eat well - be healthy and happy and all that fun stuff!!! Hopefully everyone else gets a chance to let us know how they are doing! |

AJ - lick your arm - it will help! One time I bought this flavoured lip gloss and kept licking it and I got sick - do don't go that!! And I'm so glad you are sticking around too - I would miss you way too much! And I look forward to chatting on yahoo soon!!!
I rescheduled one our meetings so I could eat lunch. I am having a tuna sandwich, some tomatoes and I got some pretzels for a salty fix. I will be here until about 8PM tonight - ewww. Back to the gym tomorrow, my pants are tight already!!! Man this bites the big one. Steinunn |

Popcorn-I think this will be a tough week for us all, but we can help each other through it. Dance-I see the trend too, but I am def trying to get back to plan. I am so close to onederland but it seems I am keeping myself from getting there. You are doing amazing. I am gonna get back to walking tomorrow. Some friends will be up tomorrow through the weekend so we can do some walking. Good luck house hunting. Staccie-glad your face is getting better and you can get back to the gym. I feel totally better and have started adding some workouts back to my day. AJ-where do we go to vote for coco?? I had no healthy options either and just wanted to eat and eat the last few day. I do now so can make better choices. I even got into my husbands snack cupboard a few times this week and I NEVER do that, unless its for a fruit roll up and they are only 50 cals. Today was better than yesterday and the day before food wise, but still not like it should be. I am ready tomorrow to eat on plan. Dance has me motivated to at least try to get to 203 by Sunday. I dont know if it will happen but I can get in some good workouts and eat better and maybe, just maybe I can get there. These pups would probably like a nice walk. They love it when i walk the loop in my yard, they run around the whole time. Hope yall have a good night and Skinny dreams!!!! |

Well it's 930pm and I just got home and going to bed. I am pooped. I have another super long day tomorrow, Wed and Thurs. But I am heading to the gym. When I work out, I eat better so gotta get there no matter what!! Rayne - you can do it - sounds like you are on the right track!!!! Ok, will check in first thing in the am after I get my workout in...I have to see a change on the scale on Friday with my trainer or I am going to be so embarassed!!! |

I have to work today, but wanted to peek in and say hello before I leave. I missed being on here the last two days because of a lonnngg workday both days. I see Lindy is stepping off of here for a while, so are we still doing the competition that ends 1/11/10?? She was the manager of that with the stats I thought. Let me know please ;-) Ok, I have been doing good, but didn't lose any from last week. I think sodium was the culpret, but I am watching that this week. No workouts yet, but I have tomorrow and Turkey day off, so I will definitely work out on those days. Burgund I don't know if they have FB, but would be nice to find out incase this forum crashes again....LOL Oh and come on get with it!! I don't want you gaining over the holidays and yes, if you walk that will speed up your metabolism!! Move, move, move!!! LOL....... Staccie so glad your face is clearing and your feeling better! Howdy, girls! I know from now through new years will most likely be a crazy busy time for almost everyone but I think for me at least it will be super important to stay accountable - it's way too easy to let things slide over the holidays. NOT THIS TIME! Who's with me? :)
mygrits - the competition is still on! I'll go back and dig up the list of the original participants. My bet is Lindy will be back before then as it gets closer to her b-day and she wants to wow everyone at her party! staccie - I totally agree - I eat much better (more portion control, better choices) when I get in lots of workouts. I'm going to try to step up the exercise this week as we're supposed to have nicer weather and schedules will be a little more flexible with the holiday week. Plan is to run today at lunch, do an exercise video tomorrow, rollerblade thurs and run again Fri. burgundy - you can do it! You are back on plan - now go get some healthy snacks! And make a big pot of something healthy so it will be dead easy to eat right. Gotta run to a meeting - will write more later. Girls, we can do this but I for one really need you all to make it happen! |
