Is it completely lame and/or allowed to adjust my goal? It's going to be near impossible to complete the goal I've set and it's kind of depressing me. Any advice?

I have just joined this forum. I can't go for runs or walks due to bilateral faciitis of both feet. I can ride a bike or use an exercise bike. I would like to set my first goals to 20 min a day for the first week and adding 5 min each week. I have not worked out in a while so I don't want to over do it at beginning.

And I accomplished one of my goals! Finally got the Y membership and have worked out the past 2 nights in public. Not as bad as I thought, lol. After the first night, my ipod just stopped working out of nowhere (stupid piece of cr*p--I just paid $250 for it a little over a year ago!). I knew without my ipod I wouldn't be able to focus on working out. I need something to focus on when working out or I lose interest. So today I went and spent another $250 on an ipod just to make sure I would keep working out and not have any excuses! This time I got an ipod touch too, which was awesome because now I can totally cheat and watch movies while working out!

Thanks Ms Perception. It was getting to be such a downer every day posting my workouts that didn't meet the goals I had set.

So Fullsteamahead my new goal is simply 780 minutes of exercise this month. I'm scaling way back, but it's definitely achieveable!

And Jessicado way to go with the new ipod! It kind of stinks the other gave out so quickly though! Have fun with it

500/1500

Did 1 hr of cardio today at the gym and 1/2 hr ST circuit at the gym

SG--I am the same way! These challenges hold me accountable to my exercise, lol.

BigSexy--yeah I couldn't believe it broke! I have actually had problems with ipods in the past, but all the bugs were "supposed" to be worked out in the 5th generation ones. Apparently not! The new touch one is lots of fun though......so maybe it was meant to be! And W2G on realizing you weren't going to meet your original goal and altering it, instead of getting discouraged and quitting altogether!
