I would love to join. I don't think there's any way I can lose 50 pounds but I would be happy with 25-35 pounds. If I lost 50 pounds that would put me at 234. That would be awesome. It's time for me to get serious instead of putting it off.
I'm going to go ahead and set a specific goal: 250

I'm calorie counting (1400/day). But of course I have made it more complicated than that!
I try to make my calories count, as in keeping track of carb: protein: fat (aim for 40:30:30 but I'm still working on that) - mostly veggie whole foods, focusing on whole-grain carbs and "good" fats... Sometimes it makes my head spin
But it has helped me make immensely better choices and I am getting used to it after a month.

Add to that Body Pump classes, Zumba, yoga, running... ~5-6 hr/week. Still working all that out, too... These are huge life changes for me and the folks @3FC provided the inspiration that I needed to get (and KEEP) moving

My doctor put me on a heart healthy diet. I was already on WW I had most of the healthy food down but I'm really slacking in the exercise department. Losing another 50 pounds would just be a bonus..putting me under my first big goal of getting into ONEderland.

Default Posted week 1 a few hours early :)

I posted my stats for last week a bit early as I'll be away from e-mail for a few days. Are we just editing our original posts? That's how I did it. Can't get the spacing to come out right though, but I'll fiddle with it when I have more time.

Lost the big 0.4 lb. Better than gaining, yes, but GRRRRRRR

Thanks goodness for this site, or I probably would have given up by now. I have to keep reminding myself that I am approximately right on target with an average of 1 lb/week. And a MUCH healthier lifestyle

Missed a couple of classes this week so my total hours weren't where they should be. Room to improve!

I'm in! I would love to lose 50 pounds by Christmas! However, I will be pleased with myself if I just make the exercise goal! 100 hours, here I come!

I suppose that I will start counting from my last weigh in on 7/15/09, as I spent a long time on that plateau.

So Start Weight: 210.

Thanks for this challenge! Losing 50 pounds will put me at my goal weight.

Even losing 35 pounds by Christmas will put me back at 150 lbs, which I would also consider a victory.

I just saw my family from up north this month and will see them again at Christmas. Won't they be surprised!

Best wishes to eveyone in the challenge!

I am up for this one!! Count me in.
Good luck everyone!!
Update: It is clear that I overestimated my ability to lose lots of weight in a short amount of time - I am in fact no longer 25 or 35 or 45! So that I do not get discouraged I am changing my goal weight part way through the challenge to 164. That is 30lbs! And if I should lose more - how fabulous is that!
