I had a small regain this morning after a two day family trip to Niagara Falls, but I'm trying not to let it derail me entirely. Staying in hotels and visiting attractions temporarily sidetracked me, but seeing the small (2 pound) gain is usually where I'd get so dissapointed/angry/sad that I'd quit all together, I'm not doing that this time!!

WormwoodDoll- I'll keep my fingers crossed for ya!

Merose :welcome3: How often do you weigh?

Lissus- I like your attitude. Kick those 190's out the door!!

Heather- you're very welcome.

Katie- Good for you. I've let small gains totally derail me many times. If I had just stayed on the wagon, I'd be closer to goal now.

From now on I am going to be using my Wii Fit to weigh in. I think my bathroom scale is messed up, it's digital, and my weight has been up and down and all around lately on it. When I use the Wii Fit, my weight consistantly drops down every day. The only thing is that my starting weight on the Wii Fit is higher. 247.1:( instead of 244.2. I still want to be 195 by Halloween, that's a loss of 52.1 lbs.

I just noticed this challenge and want to join! I want to wear a cute Halloween costume this year. I am so sick of having to go with the "find a semi-flattering dress for a girl over 200 pounds and then stick wings on" costume. I would like to be at 180 by October 31. That's 30 pounds away, that's just over 2 pounds a week, so I had best get to work!

Arg! I have been derailed somewhat :( This always happens, I have a good solid week of doing great, then I lose my steam, I've had a few cheat days, but they're behind me now. I didn't weigh in this morning because I don't want to see how I've gained a few pounds, but I am back on track (I hope, fingers crossed).

This is hard!

Whoa Paradoxx, you took the words out of my mouth! We have the same goal. 180lbs by the end of October, we can do it!

merose 07-12-2009 09:34 AM

candtlove - thanks! At the moment I'm weighing everyday - I'm trying to figure out my level of water retention at TOM - I used to think it was extreme, but I think that it was just my normal weight and I didn't want to face it.
I'll go back to weekly weighing after this week. Doing it daily can be a bit too stressy for me.

Down to 187.5 today - at the moment I'm losing so quickly! But I think it's because I've finally begun to take this seriously, I expect it to level out soon. I've just begun putting some effort into excersise, so I'll step it up bit by bit as needed.

So, 18lbs to go!

I'm going to have to start planning a Halloween party!

Up a bit due to TOM, working on attitude right now, I am not doing so good and tend to be eating everything in sight in gross amounts or starving and martrying myself. So I am reading a book called the slow down diet and and hoping to do an attitude readjustment.

Lissus 07-13-2009 01:32 PM

I'm at a plateau, I've been focused, exercising, eating right, drinking tons of water and the scale just keeps taunting me with the same two pounds over and over again.

I'm trying not to let it get me down, I've read a bunch of threads on plateau's, and know my body has "stalled" at this weight before. On the upside, I'm noticing the subtle changes in my body. Feeling muscles I just know weren't there before, clothes fitting looser in places etc, so I keep telling myself that my body just needs time to adjust to the new lifestyle and eventually the scale will catch up with me.

I'm going to give it another week, and just stay focused and on track. My hormones have been fluctuating drastically since I went off B/c pills, so this is probably just a major water retention, especially since I've increased my water intake dramatically lately (I HATE drinking water. I'm a coffee fiend, but lately I just can't seem to get enough H20, and am downing about 80-100oz a day), my body probably just doesn't know what to do with it.

If this continues much longer though I may change my goal weight to 20lbs instead of my initial 30, because it seems I've really had to struggle for every single pound lost. It's taken me 2 months to drop 10lbs, and if this is the rate my body wants to move at, then 30 might be a little steep.

Hey... I'd rather have 30, but I'd still be thrilled with 20 by October. Every little bit counts.

Angel's_Dust 07-13-2009 05:27 PM

Hi, everyone!!
I'm back and I managed to get down to 178.6, despite eating fast food for almost every meal AND a huge bag of candy.

est1991 07-14-2009 09:17 PM

i'd like to join this challenge!

i don't have a scale right now so i don't know what my weight is. but i will work out everyday and eat as healthly as i can. i'd like to be 150 by then.

i will post my weight as soon as i get a scale.

candtlove 07-15-2009 04:52 PM

hey chicks. i haven't gotten in much "real" activity, we have company visiting. i will try to walk a few miles before the week ends.

Lissus 07-15-2009 05:26 PM

my weights all over the charts this week, and I'm sure it's partly hormonal, but I'm sick of seeing the same pounds over and over. :(
