Good Morning Ladies

Just stopping in to say hello. I actually think I'm gonna go back to bed. I don't get to take a day off this week, because I'm getting on my July schedule and decided to take Saturday's off for July. Yesterday was full of some very rigorous activity, so my muscles are extremely sore and of course my body is still retaining that water. I'm convinced I've hit goal, but Darth Scale simply isn't translating it. Eh, we still have three days left and with my Strength Training tomorrow, I might not see that last goal pound go, but that's alright, I'm feeling good and doing all the things I should be doing. So, yeah, I'm going back to bed. I'll check in later. You ladies have a great day.

A big hi to all of you, Hope your all having a great weekend. Gekster, sorry you were disappointed yesterday......your doing great. It sounds like MIL wanted to do it with you but then felt tired in the morning...I would set a time next time. Kindly say ok great but I plan on starting it or doing it at such and such a time....as after it's difficult for me or whatever the case may be. Not relying on anyone else but yourself is a surefire way of getting your workouts in...........with that being said, give me a good kick darlin''' lol :) I am being very active, walking...etc. but not recording. TIme to get back to my schedule.

Gekster 06-27-2009 12:31 PM

285.9!! That .7 is gone and took some extra! I made it into 285, I get to open a reward envelope, I am sooo excited! Oh, and I get to put up another cheerleader in my signature :D

susiemartin 06-27-2009 02:02 PM

Gekster -
Congrats :carrot:
What kind of stuff is in your "reward envelope"?
Don't think I've ever heard of that before

Gekster 06-27-2009 03:10 PM

Susie- I actually stole the original idea from someone else a little while ago. I made my mini goals at 5 lb increments and instead of just picking a reward when I get to them I made a list of everything I wanted as rewards. I wrote each reward on a separate piece of paper and also made up and decorated the same amount of envelopes as I had rewards and each one stands for a mini goal. I gave it all to my boyfriend and had him put the rewards in the envelopes so it is unknown to me what I will get when I reach each goal. He thought it was such a great idea and that my rewards were so small (things like shoes, workout gear, manicure) that I should have some big rewards too. I told him where my milestones were and he added rewards he will treat me to along with my rewards I came up with to those envelopes. It has worked for me because the anticipation on what is in the envelope is more of a motivator than when I know what I will get. Plus it gets him involved and it adds some support from him.

The actual things in it though, I don't remember really, which makes it even more fun, but I remember the clothes, shoes, mani/pedi, professional massage. And I do know one of the BF's additions was a white water rafting trip!

Ms Perception 06-27-2009 09:34 PM

Okay I got rid of one of those pesky pounds and now just need to lose about a pound to get to goal. It should happen, but the end of the month is tricky for me with TOM and all. I certainly plan to make it and will defeintely keep you all posted...

Crystal- Congrats on reaching a mini-goal!! I love getting to another 5# mark!

FSA-Thanks for the encouragement! How are you? I feel like I barely read about your progress. I miss all you wonderful insights and comments! Take care of you!

Delphi 06-28-2009 08:28 AM

Good Morning you Sexy ladies!

Ok, first of all, I'm down over a pound and I have MET GOAL for the month of June by losing 10lbs this month. :woohoo: So I'm so stoked with that and really proud of myself and all of you ladies for another great month. So lets get those July threads going and get our goals up.

Urg, yesterday was such a freaky day for me, but I'll catch you ladies up later. hehehe, it did involve police though. ;) At any rate, for July my days off will be Saturdays this go around and I've already started that with this weekend, since we start July this week as well. A new less, rigorous exercise schedule, but now a more focused one to isolate toning and muscle mass, instead of focusing so much on cardio.

Ok, so I finally got to watch my ver first few episodes of LOST last night. I became interested in the series after I played the game, to boost my gamerscore in a competition and always, avoided the show via TV, because I wanted to sit down and watch the series from start to finish. Well I started last night, and let me just say, WOW and that I love it. Even the boys loved, they sat right there with me through all four episodes on our first disk, even when the police showed up. So yeah, my phone was ringing off the hook yesterday, so as usual, I unplug it and when the cops showed up, there like, are you OK, we heard screaming. Uh, yes, I'm fine, it was the TV you heard. Do you have a brother? Uh, yes but he lives in a Mt, Juliet. Ok, the officer says. So at this point I'm real confused. MMMM, ok Ms. Martin who is in the house? Uh, just me and the children. Where's your husband? Uh, don't have one. Boyfriend? Uh, nope again. No boyfriend. *confusing look on officers face and radio talk* Well ok Ms Martin, sorry to bother you, but we had a report from someone claiming to be your brother from a Gallatin number saying that your husband was beating you. Uhhhhhhhhhhh, OK, I said. Then the sexy, men in blue left. Oh and did I mention I was in my nightgown throughout all of this?

So yeah, weird, weird, weird! Oh my friend from WA and I were trying to figure this out last night and couldn't but what I did find out that anyone can google your phone number and your name and address come up. Not only that but it show you a virtual map of your house and your ENTIRE neighborhood. However, there was a link to where you can have your name taken down, so if you ladies haven't taken your stuff off google, I'd definitely do it.

So anywho, great job on the losses ladies and lets finish this challenge off with a bang worthy of a 4th of July celebration.:carrot::carrot::carrot:

Jacqui_D 06-28-2009 10:08 AM

Delphi, CONGRATS on meeting goal!! :carrot::broc::carrot:Great job!! :congrat: Wow, I just don't know what to say about that police call! Did the police mention where the call originated? Especially, coming on the heels of your experiences with church guy, it is just all really bizarre!

I am discouraged with my weight this morning. I often lose weight during TOM and yet I am up 3 lbs this morning!! Not 1, not 2, but 3!! I know not to let it affect my efforts of course, but it's just irritating. This whole month has not gone as it usually goes for me. Oh well! On to July!

susiemartin 06-28-2009 11:06 AM

Jacqui_D -
June's not over yet. Water weight sometimes goes just as fast as it came :)
Delphi -
Congrats on your loss :carrot: You'll be in total onederland by your B'day!!
Good luck with getting a timely Goggle response :^:
Google & I had a run in a few years ago ( about copyright violation) and nothing less than the threat of a trip to court made them sit up & take notice.

Do what you have to, to take care of yourself & your kids ;)
Most people in the world are good & beautiful and mean no harm.
That said, there are plenty of people who are evil, and prey upon the weak, the elderly, women and the helpless.
Cops can't be everywhere - all the time.
Sadly 1 out of 3 women will find that out the hard way before they are 35 year's old.

Jacqui_D 06-28-2009 11:16 AM

LADIES, the JULY EXERCISE CHALLENGE thread is up!! http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/show...=1#post2803530. So if you have exercise goals for July, you can now post them!! Woohoo! :yay:

glutio 06-28-2009 11:20 AM

Hello! I haven't had time to read anything since we got to Maryland, but I wanted to share the great news!! DH was offered the job on Friday!! He'll be starting in 3 weeks, so we'll have about 2 weeks to get things ready to go and then drive him 900 miles away!

Still unsure of my situation, and I won't know much for a few weeks. But this is totally awesome!!

Delphi 06-28-2009 01:08 PM

:congrat: to your hubby glutio!

Susie, thanks for the link and as always your encouraging and thoughtful words.

Jacqui ~ Don't you sweat it dear. I know it's frustrating, but hang in there. You'll see that loss after TOM is gone. No worries luv! :)

Jacqui_D 06-28-2009 02:12 PM

Glutio, CONGRATULATIONS!!! That is such wonderful news!!!! I am so happy when someone finds a good job in this economy!!! :) Tell your DH congrats, good luck, and we are happy for him! And I hope your job situation works out smoothly too! :congrat:

Delphi, thank you for the encouragement!
