Morning ladies!
I'm getting ready to go workout, but I wanted to stop by first.
Sounds like there were some pretty interesting weekends happening here.

Congrats Glutio on the good news :).

Wow Delphi with the crazy call to the cops, I agree with Jacquie, after meeting the church dude, it's totally bizarre.

CMo4: Glad you had fun with mom and sister.

Ms. P.: maybe just get a haircut and that .5 lb will be gone

Blondie: You'll do great on your new job I'm sure.

Jacqui: Glad those 3lbs are gone now!

Lene: Congrats on the loss!

Gekster: Yay for the reward reached! Congratulations girlie

Shari: Hang in there! Clothes shopping will get easier.

I was going by memory here, so I hope I didn't miss anybody...

I've had a few not so good days eating wise..Way too much restaurant food and the scale is up one lb. this AM. I am hoping some of it is just water retention, but if it's not, I know I have nobody to blame but myself, so I better get my bum back in gear today.

My mom is coming for a visit in July for a couple of weeks and she said she can stand to lose a few pounds too, so she's just going to get on my eating plan and we'll be exercising together. Should be fun :D

OK..going to sign up for July now and then to work out...

Have a super fantastic awesome day!

NSM, I think that is so great that your Mom wants to follow your food plan and exercise routine while she's visiting! Good for her! :carrot: And you'll lose that 1 lb before you know it!

Gekster 06-29-2009 02:38 PM

The inlaws are finally gone! I was not a good visit and threw me off track completely because of stress, but my workouts were more intense because I was blowing off steam. I suppose it worked out well in that regard. I didn't make it to my goal for the month, but I did make it half way, so not a bad start. And hey, I am 6 pounds lighter than I was when we started. There will be all kinds of distractions next month, but it will be okay. In other news, we went to get my reward sandals yesterday and the store was having a sale so the BF bought me 2 pairs! So awesome. Time to get the house back in order and give the cat the spare room back. Hope everyone is having a great day!

How to Take Off Those Last 10 Pounds
You know what I like to call those last 10 or 15 pounds that won't come off no matter what you do? Vanity pounds. If you're really up for it, do the following for 30 days:

1. Cut your sodium to 1,000 mg a day.
2. Drink at least 80 ounces of water daily.
3. Cut out processed foods.
4. Abstain from alcohol.
5. Train at 85 percent of your MHR (maximum heart rate) for 1 hour 5 times a week.

You can do a lot in 30 days — in fact, I can pretty much guarantee you will lose at least 5 pounds. And you'll feel like a rock star!

This is great info...thanks!!! I don't know if I COULD lose 10 more but I am willing to try!! Actually, since I am at goal, just seeing the 120s would be a blessing. Also, I could do all those things listed...except for #4...especially in the summer.

Hiyaaaaaaaaa chicks, I just read the past few pages since I last posted on Saturday. Congratulationsssssssssssss Delphiiiiiii , crazymama , and Janis, and all of you on making goal :cheer::cheer::cheer2::cheer2::cheer3::cheer3: :congrat:

Congrats to all of you on the losses :carrot::carrot: Gekster, the 6lb. loss is fantastic...congrats girl :) oh and what an awesome idea with the reward envelopes!

someone said something about getting lost in carrot cake or something , ohhhhhhhh well how about I just sum up my weekend by reporting I got lost in an ID state! lol.. MsP, you have barely read about my progress because I have barely made progress........taking care of oneself is major progress in itself but let's just say that recently I have been thrown off in more ways than one..........thanks for the words chicky. I'll get myself back..thanks  As for you, you hang in there........wow so close! so so close! Wishing you that 1/2 lb. loss by wednesday so you meet your goal but either way......you are doing awesome! congrats on the loss girl and keep on truckin :)

Delphi, sounds like a strange weekend indeed. I think the dance idea the girls ahve sounds great...it would give you something new to do and add some variety for you. Do you get cabin fever though sometimes? Maybe there are some outdoor things you can plan with the kids? or maybe grandma can babysit sometime and you can plan something to do. I gotta hand it to you girl.........bravo! You are doing super delphi! :)

Lene,, wtg on that additional loss. Hope you had a great weekend, hope you all did.

Jacquiiiii and Jacquee and to all of our girls....a big hello! I am looking forward to seeing you all in our new thread.

Blondie, congrats on your new position. I think it's natural to be nervous when first starting out......hope you had a great first day. Oh and way to go on the p.c.

Newshinyme, wtg on the workouts.......Hang in there and keep on truckin. That's exciting that your mom is coming in July and you can workout together :)

crazymama, I am glad you had a nice time with mom and sissy. Wtg on the workouts and all chicky :carrot::carrot: keep up the great work.

Hi to all, sorry if I missed anyone.

As for me, we actually got some sunshine saturday and I am so glad we took advantage of it. We went to a boardwalk place on the beach and did plenty of walking. Back in a funky weather pattern here and back to rain. My sleeping has been off lately and I dont know if it's the humidity and/or grey skies etc. but I need to work on it because it impedes my schedule.

Oh, we have a bunny rabbit that comes in the yard every single night around dusk. DH put some carrots out there and we were watching him eat. It's a little chowhound, lol :) Already ate 2 whole carrots and will check later to see if he gets the third.

I cannot beleive that this friday is july 4th already! I am glad dh has the day off and I am not sure yet what we are going to do. I may just hold off on having another party...but we are going to see the forecast and take it from there. DH leaves for business on the 13nth for about 2 weeks...going to miss him. FOr some strange reason, I eat quite light when I'm alone...I don't cook and I just grab whatever...pretty much live like a bachelor, lol.

I better go. Just saw the time........I have our new thread up girls. Hope you all have a great day and again ty so much for everything  keep up the great work chickiessss. talk soon

Ok, so I know I didn't meet my goal of losing 8lbs this month but what I do know is that I lost 6 so I am very happy with that result!

Nothing to be dissapointed about :)

Delphi 06-29-2009 04:35 PM

Lauren ~ You did a fantastic job sweetie. You're a winner in my book. :congrat: on the six pounds. That is an accomplishment indeed!

FSA ~ Yes I do. If not for the Internet and my boys, I'd go loony! We get outside enough, but as far as my grandmother, she does not know how to care for Canaan. Though as many times as I've tried to show her, the poor thing, simply can't remember and gets flustered at every little noise he makes. I've had to come speeding home from several appointments, because she just didn't know what to do. So when I leave to go get groceries or something, I do so at lightspeed. But you know, it's something I have adapted to and something I don't mind doing. I sacrifice a lot, but Canaan has sacrificed so much more...and I dare not complain...not one bit. Anyways, good to see you posting again and I know what you mean about when your husbands gone eating like a bachelor...hehe, that's what I do. ;)

Gekster ~ Well good for you on the whole reward system thing. You did such a spectacular job for June and I really want to see you have another groovy month for July. You're doing wonderfully!

Jacqui_D 06-29-2009 05:29 PM

Gekster and LaurenA, you both lost 6 lbs this month and that is great!! I am hoping to lose another lb tomorrow so I can join the 6 lb club too, lol! :crossed:

Joci, I'm so glad you find the info helpful! I've saved it in case I need it when I get closer to goal! Good luck on reaching the 120s!!! Woohoo!!! :goodluck:

Delphi, you are such a wonderful mother! It really touches me! I wish all parents had the dedication and love for their children that you do!

FSA, awww, your bunny sounds so cute!! I'm glad you've been able to enjoy the good weather. It has been super hot and humid here, and it has just today gotten out of the 90s, so it's finally bearable! I hope July 4th is a pretty day for you!

Delphi 06-29-2009 05:39 PM

Thanks Jacqui!'s!

And just cause I talk about him so much, here is my precious Canaan in his stander.

Jacqui_D 06-29-2009 05:57 PM

Delphi, aw, thanks for sharing! :) He looks like mama! Look at those same eyes, nose, and lips! My children's features are a combination of my DH and me, although my daughter definitely has her daddy's coloring. She has brown hair and brown eyes. I have blonde hair and green eyes. My son was born with bright blond hair but now it's a dirty blond/light brown and he has one brown eye and one part brown/part blue eye. (Most of my family has blue eyes.) Your son is a beauty like you!

susiemartin 06-29-2009 06:00 PM

Delphi -
What a beautiful child! How old is he?

Delphi 06-29-2009 06:03 PM

Thanks Jacqui and Susie! He turned four in January. And to think those PHD's said he wouldn't live past his first birthday. ;)

Jacqui_D 06-29-2009 06:14 PM

Delphi, well thank God the docs don't always have all the answers! He's precious! Here are my children:
