Talking Final Mini-Challenge

Final Mini-Challenge

Finish it STRONG challenge

Okay! So, last week we all filled out a survey of 20 questions. Most of us realized ,while we had good intentions at the beginning of the year, we haven't really held on to those good intentions. I challenged everyone to notice their greatest weakness and what causes that weakness.

This week your challenge is to come up with a fullproof plan for THE WHOLE WEEK! Monday through Monday!

This means a plan for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks everyday.... A plan for going grocery shopping (if you need to) and getting what you need for your meal plans.... A plan for exercising.... A plan for the weekend.... A plan for preventing binges at home or out with friends or any extra activities you have planned for the week.

Your biggest challenge will be to make sure it is doable NO MATTER WHAT...make sure your plan is doable even if the weather is bad....even if your baby sitter calls in sick...even if you have to work a double!

Lets do this...Let's finish this challenge and the 1st half of the year off strong!

This last week of this challenge finishes out the first half of the year of our challenges. I think if we can finish this week (and the first half of the year) really strong it will set us up for success for starting the second half of the year.

Hey everyone, sorry I haven't been around much!

Last week was the end of final exams, and then my SIL and her husband came to visit for the weekend, so we were out and about (and eating!) a lot. SIL's hubby is a super picky eater (I think he has a list of like 50 foods he'll eat, and if they're put together in the wrong combination he won't even eat those!) so we went out to eat every day. No way am I cooking for that maniac, lol!

I went to the farmer's market, then a fruit/vegetable stand on the way home from visiting my husband's workplace (I had never seen where he works), then the grocery store yesterday night... and I'm really proud of what I bought! I got lots of fruits and veggies to make healthy meals.

Tonight ANOTHER guest is coming to visit, DH's cousin/best friend.. when I asked DH what foods I should make for him, he said "f*** him, he can eat whatever you cook... you always cook too much for us two anyway so you don't even have to do anything different!" lol.. so it shouldn't get in the way of my healthy eating.

I'm super excited about the mini challenge, it's PERFECT for me this week! In order to make sure I use up all of the fresh produce in my 'fridge so nothing goes to waste, I NEED to plan out all my lunches and dinners. I'll work on that today, and post my plan by the end of the day.

Are we supposed to post the plan? Cause that's a lot of detail.

OK, mine is four servings of fruit, two of veg, and three of dairy every day from today to next Monday. Also, I will go back to my modified hourly (or every other hour) eating schedule, and do the exercise DVD every morning, plus a walk of at least thirty minutes four times this week (gives me a little leeway if it rains a couple days).

I made my weekly goal! Whoohoo! Not too shabby considering I skipped exercise Saturday and ate Wendy's. I don't feel bad, I still made my goal. Just finished my exercise DVD for today, debating whether I want to go for a walk today or wait until tomorrow, when the weather will be better and I need to go to the Post Office and bank anyway. I think this morning, catching up some housework will burn off enough calories to justify putting the walk off one day. That being said, Imma crank some tunes and get to vacuuming, etc.

Hi girls,

Back from Havasu. Have 2 days before I go back to work, so gonna come catch up later. I got through my week plus away from home unscathed on the scale. Only ate out 4 times out of 33 meals. And two of them were picking up food for the 4 hour drive there and 4 hour drive back. A bit of an NSV for me!

Okay, gonna go PM my weights. Will be back later to catch up! Feels good to be home!

Question

I weighed 281 plus last week.
280.5 this week, but I didn't lose. I just changed back to my regular bath scales. I'm tired of guessing on my digital, it changes depending on where I have my feet, for now the regular ones seem more accurate.

I almost missed this new thread. I wondered why Eny's post on the last thread was the last one yesterday and wondered where everyone was, lol.

I will have to think on the challenge, Melissa. Thanks.

Yay! I've gotten a bunch of weigh ins! I'm still missing a bunch of them - but hey it's a start.

Mel - I love the finish strong challenge. How are you doing on the limiting your computer time thing? I've been attempting to do the same. I feel so useless when at the end of the day I look around and everything is still a mess and I feel like I haven't accomplished anything at all.

alright - time to get Hunter some dinner and ready for softball for tonight.

I'm up seven pounds, to 214. That's a gain of 10 pounds total over the last two weeks. I'm dropping out of the challenge. It doesn't seem to be what I need. Good luck to you all.

Sounds like a plan! If everyone wants to post their plan that is okay. It is up to you...but I find if I get it somewhere in black and white it helps me stay accountable to myself...and then if something goes wrong I can go back and look at the plan and see what I need to tweak!

I'm doing so good at limiting my computer time....I get on in the morning while McKenzie is eating breakfast and do what I gotta do real quick and then I shut the computer off....I don't even crack it open anymore when she is taking a nap. I did so good this weekend and even being on track for the past 4 days I FEEL WONDERFUL! I have so much more energy already. Last week all I wanted to do was lay around the house with the computer in my lap....didn't want to do anything. But I made it a point to get up and get ready and even put on make up every day since Friday....I feel GREAT!

Hope everyone else is going strong for this last week!

I think this is the third weigh in that my weight has not budged.... I remain 188 and I am very disappointed. My plan is to watch calories, give blood tomorrow like I had planned and remind myself that I work out to feel better, not to get down a pants size!

Hey, if you give a pint of blood, you'll automatically lose a pound

I have got to start journaling my food I think. I think I have been POP, but my weight has been climbing for 3 weeks now. I am not impressed.

I like the giving blood suggestion and I am due to give. I would like to give 25 pounds worth!!

STNESSA79 HAS BEAT HER MEMORIAL DAY GOAL WEIGHT!

We're almost at the end of this challenge - and Summer is right around the corner! This week was the best so far cumulatively. This next week - let's see if EVERYONE can have a loss.

I'm a little bummed that we've lost so many throughout the challenge - we started off with almost 40 girls - and now we're down to less then 20. I understand that this might not be what people need right now to help with their goals - and I also understand that some people aren't ready to put in the effort to actually accomplish the challenge that they set forth for themselves. Remember - anything worth having is worth fighting for... and this is the fight of a lifetime! I can't wait until i can jump back in with you girls and start posting my losses! Soon I'll be fighting right along with you all!
