Good, actually! The last couple weeks or so have been tough runs, I've just had to really push to keep going to the whole time. But the last two runs have been easier . Thanks for reminding me to remember the good stuff too!

I've been thinking about what I'm going to do after I'm done with the C25k. I am going to try the interval training. The HIIT or whatever that is.... I'm thinking I will continue to do better at my speed for my 30 min run maybe once a week and then do the HIIT the other two running days of the week. I figure this will confuse my body a little bit and not let running become boring for me. Are you just working on speed now?

Ok guys. I'm back. I've been a slacker lately ... lotsa stuff going on. Bleah. Stress.

SW: 167
GW: 162

My jeans are fitting funny and I know it's because I've put back on about 5lbs. So ... here we go.

I photographed a 5k for cancer this weekend and decided that I want to run in it next year. So my training for the next 12 months is going to focus on becoming 5k ready. I like having a goal to work towards ... something different from what I've been doing. Not that I'm giving up the weight training ... but I'm going to add running to my routine.

Ok, obviously I'm hormonal or something today. I saw FBs post and Jamie's follow up and teared up.

*sob* *grin*

Lord I'm a mess.

Couch to 5k, huh? I guess I'm gonna have to try that. At least I'm already off the couch ... !

The event I photographed was for PanCan (the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network - http://www.pancan.org/) and the winner in the 40s women category this year did it in 25 mins. I am not going to aim to win, but I'd like to hit maybe 35 mins or less to finish.

I think I'm hormonal today too. I feel like I've "had a couple" where I get so lovey with everyone...I've noticed a trend that I feel this way the day after a good run...hmmmm...

PC - If that made you tear up, wait until you read another post that I made to you... tee hee!

Hopefully it's those extra pounds that will fly off once I get back on track.
I won't let myself get angry at myself.. just move ahead!

So excting about everyone getting into 5ks! I havn't been running for like a week.. and I know when i get back on the running trail.. that first day will be a pain in the BUTT!

I'm in on the challenge. 5lbs at a time. Sounds like a doable goal.

Welcome Cannie! The 5# challenges rock socks because they're so manageable! I don't care a bit about winning but do get stoked by my goal weight becoming less and less each time. Puts things into better perspective for me.

PC- if it's a sales session perhaps the tears would loosen their pocketbook

I'm working on distance! I'm up to about 2.75 miles now, and of course I'm aiming for 5K. My left knee bothers me at the end of my runs, so I have to increase pretty slowly. It bothered me at the end of my workout when I was on C25K Week 2, and now it bothers me at the end of my run of 2.75 miles, so I guess that's progress!

When I feel pretty solid on 5K, I'm going to try to increase one of my runs gradually to 4 miles. Then I plan to make the two (or three) shorter runs into interval training.

BTW, I think interval training is kinda the way they tell you to improve your speed, so you may have some great results!
