Deep breaths, deep breaths, deep breaths . . .

Taking on too much is a trait that a lot of us probably have; I know I do it too. When I get too stressed, I wind up getting nothing done. So when I’m at the point of shutting down, I try to remind myself that the world won’t end if everything isn’t totally completed perfectly. (We’re not talking rocket science or curing cancer, are we? If so, you’d better hustle!)

Then, I try to prioritize so the really important stuff gets done, then get the rest done as best as I can. I’ve never had anyone not understand, as long as I’ve made a sincere effort to meet the deadline.

Try not to stress Eny; I’m sure you’ll do fine.

Not curing it - but possibly battling it. I find out more on Thursday. - that's a HUGE stress right now. Plus work is KILLING me. The wedding stuff is getting crazy - not so much.... the plans - but the people.. I want an EXTREMELY small ceremony - and then a bigger reception - but people are already giving me slack!

Take a minute for yourself Eny and then one thing at a time.
You seem to be a planner, just whittle away. Don't worry about what others want, if you and your fiance' agree on the wedding and reception, the rest of the world will just need to accept that it is not their wedding!!

Earthshaker, hope you are ok, hope to hear soon.

Everyone, Christmas is 16 weeks from this Thursday, we can do a lot of shape-changing in 16 weeks!!

I'm going to have to do a TON of shapechanging in 16 weeks! I'm off my backslide - and I'm focused right now! I got up on time - did my 15 min areobics this morning. I know I didn't get the full effect, because it's very fast paced and I don't know it yet - but I gave it my all!

Thank you girls for all of your support. I know that people are people and I have to deal with them, just like they have to deal with me It's just

I have a TON of work to catch up on - so I'm going to do my best to stay focused on it right now. I'm going to try to stay off of here until Lunch time! (We'll see how well that works out!)

Enygirl - Wish I could take on some of those things for ya.. honetly.
I don't deal with stress well at all, I start feeling a lot like you described - just shut down and cry. I'll be praying for you!!

Hope everyone is doing well!

PAT!!! YOU'D BE SOOOOOO PROUD OF ME!!! I told you that I scheduled out all my workouts, mixing them up some so I won't get bored.... well.. I read the wrong day this morning, and did tomorrow's morning exercise today instead of my pushups. I realized it when I was going to do my night workout and said "crap - Pat's doing these with me! I can't skip a day!" So I did week 1, day 1 right then and there. I DID A TOTAL OF 54 PUSHUPS!!!wait...it gets better!

I then continued and did my regularly scheduled night workout (Slim in 6 - level 1) and part of it is 1:00 of pushups - and I DID ANOTHER 22!!!

SOOOOO... the grand total for pushups today is: 76!!!

I have to say - I'm proud of myself! I actually did 3 workouts today (but I'm not counting one of them - otherwise it'd screw up my count. I did decide that instead of screwing up my morning workouts (and not doing the same one 2 days in a row) I'm going to add in a bonus ab workout tomorrow morning (the one I schedule for Saturdays - I don't mind doing that one 2ce in a week. Also - I KNOW that I'd LOVE for this pooch I have to GO AWAY )

Morning all. Hugs to all. We all seem to be struggling to get our heads in the right places, but we are getting there.

I was at 146.4 yesterday, just tickles me. Finally moving again. I was really dwelling in the cellar for the last few weeks, so needed to get going again. I am shooting for less than 140 by the end of the month, so need to lose at least 6.5 this month. I think I can do that.

Eny, WOW, way to work out. Let us know how Thursday goes won't you?

I have to get a move on, both kids go back to school today, YS is a high school senior, OS is starting his 3rd year of college and last semester at the local community college, so a full day. Need to get in the shower so I don't have to wait in line!

MM - I'm glad the scale's moving for you again! That's GREAT! Since I saw a GHASTLY #192.2 on Monday () I've really refocused. This morning it was at #190.0... so it is making a difference! I HAVE to keep this up!! I have to think about my wedding!!! AND the $150 Christmas Bonus for winning the family challenge!!! (I really like money)

I did my morning ab video today... and my abs are SCREAMING! I know they need it though... tone from the inside, while burning off the fat layer from the outside!

Ok - time to get to work.

Eny
76 pushups! I'm impressed.
what is your "slim in 6" program? is it online? I need to do pushups, but I can always make an excuse for not doing it. I do a chest and back machine at the gym, but pushups would be great!
You go girl!
I did 5.15 miles yesterday on the spin bike at the gym. I have a spin bike at home, but it does not have an odometer on it, so I just gauge my mileage by time.

Slim in 6 is a DVD series put out by Beach Body. Debbie Siebers is the trainer.

If you really want to start doing push ups go to this website: www.hundredpushups.com It is a GREAT pushup training program. i had originally made it through week 4, but I just started over yesterday.

Morning everyone! Glad to hear everyone is doing so well - it's definitely motivation for me. I did something to my hip/leg the day before yesterday, so I was a bit afraid to go on my regular walk last night. At first I was just going to skip working out all together, but I thought about you guys and your pushups and spinning, etc., so I decided to ride the stationary bike instead. Thanks for the kick in the butt I needed!

This is typically the time when I lose my momentum. I'm about 3 weeks into this change in my lifestyle and I've lost about 8 lbs so far. Of course, when you have a lot to lose, those first pounds go fast. Now, things are slowing up and the novelty is wearing off. I'm really going to be vigilant about coming here to be inspired and be held accountable. I'm counting on you guys!
