Jesse - congrats on th 199 I must have had a brain fart and missed your post
Eny - I hope you aren't coming down with something  lene - I got a friend trying that meal freezing thing...it sounds like such a great idea...but I just don't have a big enough freezer...LOL! |
I'm doing a little better today. My eating was MUCH better yesterday, although I still haven't worked out going on 5 days!!! I'm changing that TODAY! I'm starting level 2 of 30DS tonight! I've heard it's a killer - but I need to work!
I have to get caught up with work right now - but I'll check back later. I just need to get back in control of my life right now - and it's hard! And when one thing slips, it seems they all do! UGH! |
Good job Eny! I have been starting to gear up and I have a busy next couple of weeks also--I hope to be able to keep OP and exercise as much as possibe.
This week-end, b-i-l and fiance and little boy are here. Next week gone for 5 days to Vegas. After that, my brother and his wife from Atlanta here for one week! I hope to keep losing, but it will be a challenge, for sure!! Today, went down again! CW: 195.6! Yaay! So my mini-goal, to be under 195 by Sept. 1st, looks like it will happen, if I don't backslide! Of course, with company coming and going away for a break, will be eating out a bunch. I just have to make smart choices...... |
So just checking in to say that I finally am able to use my signature and keep track of my weight loss with that!! I almost forgot what weight I started at!
|
Eny - Yayyy for getting back on track
I'm getting back in the saddle for real....nothing like a family member having a heart attack to get you off your freakin' butt!! My sister's husband had a heart attack today. He is doing fine now. They got him all fixed up. BUT still that could be me if I don't change fast! |
Oh, wow, momma, How old was he? I have such a fear of that for my hub--he's 45 and not overweight except maybe 10-15 lbs. but there is heart disease in his family and his dad had his first heart attack in his forties.
But, I keep telling myself he eats much healthier than his dad did and his dad was a smoker. But hub is a relatively stressed-out Type A personality (unlike me, I'm more Type B) and I have encouraged him to get a thorough cardio check-up, b/c you just never know..... |
Jessy - I remember when I got my sig. I haven't used it in a while since I have been so lazy...LOL
|
So is anyone else at a stand still? I REALLY want to be in the #170's when we start TBL challenge - but I don't see it happening now. I've been STUCK in the upper #180s forever!
So I'm upping the water, fruits & veggies Decreasing the soda, and sodium Working out agian (didn't do it last night either. :() I WIL catch up with work this weekend - and start on the baby quilt that I have to do for the 7th. I want to get it done early! I have an overfull plate - but it's time to stop making excuses and start working towrds order! Joe and I have been talking about weddings BIG time - so as soon as we actually pick a date I'll set a wedding goal. It's going to be VERY small, with a larger reception, but even that'll be small. I'm excited. It'd be nice to reach a goal that I set! UGH! I need to stop sabotaging myself and GET TO WORK!!! |
ENY ~ Yayyyyy a wedding!!!!! I'm soooo happy for you! I will make a deal with you....I will do my 30 day shred on level 2 today if you will....so if I do it ...then you have to...LOL!!! I'm at a stand still of 240 but it is because I have really slacked for 3 straight weeks. I'm just glad I haven't gained it all back. Yesterday was day 1 back on plan for me! You know maybe we should have a days on plan challenge...LOL!! Eny it sounds like you got the food part back on track and that is half the battle (the hardest half if you ask me) Just put that DVD in the DVD player and make yourself get started. Before you know it you will be done and glad you did it!!!! Is that all you are doing for working out right now...are you still doing your morning routine? If your really ready to get out of that plateau...just keep your calories in check (they may need to be lowered some) and up your exercise....maybe take a walk around the block a couple times or something!! I bet your outta that rut in no time!
Modcat - He is 42. Yeah heart disease ain't no joke and it really doesn't care how old you are but lte 30's early 40's it really starts to be something your gonna deal with if your over weight / smoke / eat a bunch of fattening junk...etc! Dr. Oz says the most important number is your blood pressure...he says it is more important that how much you weigh and how much your cholesterol is.....you blood pressure should be at or below 120/80. If the top number goes much over 120 you could be at risk for stroke....if the bottom number goes over 80 you are at risk for heart attack...of course weight and cholesterol affect your blood pressure so it is important to keep those two in control....that is why I'm starting now in my 20's so I don't die in my 40's!!! Keep in mind that there will be times your blood pressure will be higher than normal for example...after eating due to digestion...if your upset...if your stressed or anxious...your best bet is to take it several times a day first thing in the morning...maybe mid day somewhere...and in the evening maybe before bed! |
Wow, momma--only 42! So young! See, that's why I get worried for him--his BP isn't 120/80, more like 135/84. Not bad, but not really good under the new revised guidelines. His GP told him about 5 years ago, that HE thought the most important thing was family history. BP was second most important. Almost every male and a few females in DH's family have/had heart disease, and most who had it died of it before age 65.
And he had borderline high cholesterol and triglycerides then, as well, in his late thirties. And he was in very fit shape, playing hockey 2-3 times/week then, etc. His GP said the cholesterol thing was probably related to family history/genetics. I have got to him tested and back to the doctor! Eny---Congrats!!! Yaay--a wedding to plan, such a happy event! Now you've got more motivation than ever! Sounds like the tat was a sign he really wanted to deepen his commitment to you and was trying to show it, in a guy way. |
modcat - definately get him back there. REGUARDLESS of family history there are things he can do to turn off those bad genes! It is great that we are medically advanced as we are! Seriously...check out Dr. Oz's book You: Staying Young.....it is really good! It explains everything in a way you can understand it...what is going on in there and it says what you can do to turn off bad genes to combat things like Alzheimer's, heart disease...etc! And explains why those things work! Good luck!
|
Eny- grats on the plans!! I don't think my BF is quite thinking marriage yet, but I'm looking to the future, and that's part of what's motivating me.
|
Just popping in quick.
Doing great on my mini 15 day challenge. water 64 ozs.+ - :carrot: running - still on track :carrot: push ups - :carrot: strength training- :carrot: Where did everyone go? Hope you are all doing well but just to busy to post. |
oK -so i'm DONE eating for today. It is my parents (both of them) birthday - so DD & I went out to dinner with my mom. MEXICAN! I did relatively good. Total cals for the day is 1502 - slightly over, but not enough to bi*ch about! :)
I've had TONS of veggies today - and I'm at 64 oz. of water. I'll drink the last 16 oz after my workout. WHICH YES MOMMA I'M UP FOR THE CHALLENGE AND WILL JOIN YOU TONIGHT IN LEVEL 2!!! I'm going to do it as soon as I put DD down for bed (about an hourish) I'm also putting myself to bed early tonight so that I can catch up on the sleep I'm DESPERATELY missing! :tired: So As I've mentioned, I'm not going to head up the September boot camp - because I'm in the BL challenge, and want to make that my main focus challenge. I'm wondering how many of us have joined up for TBL "We are Family"? I'm hoping that all of us do.. and that we're on the same team! :cheer2: I just think the friendly competion along with the Team support is exactly what I need! Alright - I'm off to get some work done before DD goes to bed. I'll check in before I hit the hay! |
Eny - I'm with you...I'm skipping Sept bootcamp.....
I'm planning on doing this TBL and TBL that I'm assuming they will start in Jan. I may save the bootcamps for the summer and skip a TBL in the summer...but who knows....I may just want to do that TBL...but I may need a break and something new by then |
