MOVE IT TO LOSE IT - August 2008 Bootcamp
Alright girls - Here it is the August 2008 Bootcamp Challenge!
This month our Motto is: :drill: MOVE IT TO LOSE IT! :drill: Here's the guidelines: 1. SHOOT AND SCORE!Set a goal for the month. It can be exercise or weight loss. Make it REALSITIC! (no you're probably not going to lose #40 in 4 weeks!) Put this goal in your signature and update at LEAST once a week. It helps you to have a visual of what you're doing (or not) and helps us to motivate you to KEEP GOING! 2. WORK! COVER GIRL!!! You MUST do at LEAST 30 mins of exercise 4 days a week! :lifter: 3. COME ON IN THE WATER'S FINE! :swim: That's right - In order to get the great support from us girls you have to post! We don't know you're here if you're lurking! I want everyone to post at least 3 times a week! (for most of us that's not an issue! :)) :comp: 4. YOU REAP WHAT YOU SOW By popular demand (and because I can't count ;)) This is where you create your monthly Mantra... the words you're going to live by for the next month (and possibly longer) to keep you motivated and moving forward! 5. TODAY IS TOMORROW'S YESTERDAY! Schedule tomorrow today! No I'm not expecting everyone to plan out every morsel you're going to eat... but schedule that you're going to work out after dinner, or if you have a date night then schedule when you're going to have time to get it in. Also if you're a points/calorie counter, schedule an approximate of haw many per each meal. Plan for snacks as well. :write: 6. WITHOUT ENOUGH SLEEP WE ALL BECOME TALL TWO-YEAR-OLDS! :tantrum: As part of this challenge I want ALL OF YOU to get AT LEAST 6.5 hours of sleep a night! If this means going to bed before the dishes are done - SO BE IT! You can't lose weight on a sleep deprived System! :tired: 7. BALANCE, PEACE AND JOY ARE THE FRUIT OF A SUCCESSFUL LIFE! Find one other aspect of your life that needs work. Finances, Housekeeping, cooking at home (see my big 3? :D) and pick that one thing to work on to become more balanced in your life. "When our life is out of balance we have stress! Balance in your life does bring less stress to your life!" Catherine Pulsifer :stress: |
Yayyy Eny!!!
Great job girl! I'm gonna get to work with my planning so that I can be ready to post August 1st! I'm so ready for a new month!!! :D |
Melissa - I'm so glad you're already here! I'm also waiting until the first to update my goals etc. i'll post my 1-7 plan then. :) It's going to be a FUN Month! With a lot of WORK and SUCCESS!!!
|
Hey ladies, room for another one around here?! I need a good kick up the backside to get the weight going again, and a good challenge is just what I need!! I use an online calorie counter, so that isnt too much of an issue, but i do need to up the veggies and keep going with the exercise.
Im going to be moving to Scotland on the 27th September, starting a whole new chapter of my life and I want to be feeling healthier and looking better by then too. Anyway I'm looking forward to a great challenge!! |
Awesome! May I join you?
|
May I join?!? I think I can follow the guidelines....I'll try on the sleeping part but I have a very spoiled 8 month old :D I'll make my goal #10 in 4 weeks....
|
Hey what happened to #4 Eny?
|
i would like to join!! my goal will be 10lbs
|
Everyone is :welcome: to join!
Use these next couple of days to really review the criteria that Eny has posted and set goals for numbers 1-7 (something happened to number 4 but I'm going to make one of them my mantra for the month so I will still have 7) Post your starting info on the 1st of the month as well as goals! Update as often as you like...log on to support others or get support also! Good luck look forward to a great month with you all!!! |
Im in! Good luck to everyone!!!!!
|
I'm in... it's time to get off my tail and get going... and possibly lose
something this summer beyond the same 5#'s... SW: 164.4/ GW: 158.4 1. SHOOT AND SCORE!Goal for this month: 6lbs and good bye to the 160's!! 2. WORK! COVER GIRL!!! 30 minutes a day, 4x per week... no problem. 3. COME ON IN THE WATER'S FINE! ahh... i lurk multiple times a day, every day... i often feel like there's nothing big going on with me and no need to post (since i've been gaining and losing the same 4-5 lbs all summer). i'll have to work on this. 4. Do or do not... there is no 'try'. 5. TODAY IS TOMORROW'S YESTERDAY! this is absolutely a must for me! scheduling, especially the next two weeks, is going to be crazy! 6. WITHOUT ENOUGH SLEEP WE ALL BECOME TALL TWO-YEAR-OLDS! finally, something I've been doing right already! since my surgery in june, i've been sleeping 7.5-8 hrs per night... no prob! 7. BALANCE, PEACE AND JOY ARE THE FRUIT OF A SUCCESSFUL LIFE! i think this is part of the reason i decided to jump on this challenge - my finances are completely out of control... my life is just chaos right now... i'm really not doing anything to reign it in... i'm going to have to schedule my life and budget my money... or come the end of august, there won't be any need to watch my food intake.... cause there won't be any to take in! |
Of course I'm in, there is a missing 4, I'm going to make it my mantra "positive, positive, positive" like last bootcamp. Something I can repeat when I get in a bad mood, reminding myself to look up, one day at a time!
1. My goal for month is to lose a few lbs but it's more to really stick with my program, I'm doing BFL, am in month 2, so it requires extensive weight training 3x per week, and cardio too. I'm hoping to make it through the entire month of Aug not skipping any days (although there might be a few "at least I exercised days that aren't as intense by the program). 2. Agreed, at least 30 min of exercise 4x per week (included in BFL plan). 3. I agree to try to post at least three times per week. 5. I'm scheduling tomorrow today every evening before bed in my BFL journal. The journal includes planning meals, I'll admit I'm not really doing that but if I don't have ideas (and I seem to be doing the same old meals daily) I created a binder with recipes from various diets and recipe books with snacks, meals. I try to eat carbs (bread, etc type) at breakfast and lunch or dinner, usually lunch but I'm not going to calorie count for now, I think I have the "basic" calories down in my head sticking with the same old stuff every day and NOT eating out. 6. Sleep is no problem for me, I'm self employed, the biggest problem is sleeping too much and not working like a normal person in the am. I'm going to try to get up earlier, get dressed/showered before I plop on the couch with my breakfast and the Today show. And a part of my am is to work on finances every single day, balance my checkbook - plus other spiritual stuff. 7. My other aspect of life I'm majorly working on is finances. I'm on the Dave Ramsey program, it's mean, a tight cash only budget (I started and didn't finish classes at a local church but they said I could come and finnish the rest starting in Sept - I need a hammer over my head and support on this one). But like weight, I gained here by making daily decisions that weren't good. I also like the Stephen Covey ideas on balance, in his system you write down the different sectors of your life and make plans for each, each week. Also you "sharpen the saw" and do something for stress reduction, for me I like yoga a few times a week, church, prayer and quiet music to sharpen my saw. So I'll focus on balance in all things, might order some Covey tabs for my planner book as well. |
Ok - the mystery #4 has now been filled in... it's simply my lack of counting abilities that it was missing ;)
I'm SO happy to see so many ready to WORK in August! I know I DESPERATELY need to work on #2. I've been slacking in the exercise department BIG TIME! (and I put on #1 since Monday to show for it! UGH) Piggin - I'm So happy to see you in here! It's been awhile since we've been in a challenge together! How's the Scottish man of yours??? dancinggirl -= Kissing the #160'S goodbye would be AWESOME! I'm still working on the #180s - but I'll Get there!!! :D horsey & momma - good to have you back :) Blue, Jesse, Pan & Matilda :welcome: The more the merrier! Look at the guidelines and post your goals either tomorrow (July 31) or Aug 1. :D I'm SO happy to see you all here! :yay: As for me - i'm waiting until Aug 1 to post my goals and such. I want to get an accurate first day of month weigh in. Which reminds me - there is no specific day to weigh in on this challenge. Just make sure you update us on your day so that we can root you on! :cheer: |
Ahhhh... the mystery # 4 You reap what you sow, Biblical, also meaning consequences for daily decisions (not just dieting but all things in life). In Buddhist terms it would be Karma. In the book Secret it would be called "the secret" - whatever we focus on we become. So rather then suffering the consequences of POOR decisions let's GAIN from GOOD daily choices here! Let's all think positive, follow the Secret, believe we can do this!

I'm new here and need this bootcamp.
My wedding and (cruise) honeymoon are over and I'm feeling and seeing the weight creeping back on. The feeling of fitting into smaller clothes is such a high for me, but now those clothes and what pants I took in are getting tight which is a call to action. Being accountable to someone else is definitely in my tool box. I just need to find people willing to provide that for me. 1. SHOOT AND SCORE! Realistically, 7 pounds would make me happy. 2. WORK! COVER GIRL!!! Turbo Jam and walking :lifter: 3. COME ON IN THE WATER'S FINE! :swim: Sometimes I feel that what I have to say is of no importance, but will post updates at least. 4. YOU REAP WHAT YOU SOW "Life: Make it the one you've always wanted." 5. TODAY IS TOMORROW'S YESTERDAY! Schedule tomorrow today!:write: Wow! I cannot tell you how important this step is. I realize that not being prepared is my biggest downfall. I get hungry (and cranky) and have to be somewhere in 10 minutes and I grab something totally unhealthy. 6. WITHOUT ENOUGH SLEEP WE ALL BECOME TALL TWO-YEAR-OLDS! Not a problem now that the wedding is over. 7. BALANCE, PEACE AND JOY ARE THE FRUIT OF A SUCCESSFUL LIFE! I get together with a group of social supports at least twice a week. We discuss topics, feelings and behaviors and share how we integrate them in our lives. This is going to be fun. It will be great to see where we all are at the end of August. :cheer2: |
Hello! I would love to join.. I joined in June, but the forum crash made me "forget" about it.. Now it's a new day!
1. SHOOT AND SCORE! My goal is to lose 5 pounds. (I am losing slowly right now, but I'll give it a shot.. ) 2. WORK! COVER GIRL!!! That wont be a problem. I'm planning to do 4 30DayShred every week, and Jump Rope and some more stuff.. 3. COME ON IN THE WATER'S FINE! :swim: I'll do my best, I'm not the biggest talker :) 4. YOU REAP WHAT YOU SOW This month I dedicate to myself. I have a lot of free time this month, so it's now or never!! 5. TODAY IS TOMORROW'S YESTERDAY! I've done my workout schedule for the whole month! Now I just have to follow it :) As for my eating I have one day every week that I allow myself to eat some sweet stuff.. That make it easier than never been able to eat it. 6. WITHOUT ENOUGH SLEEP WE ALL BECOME TALL TWO-YEAR-OLDS! I am happy right now to be able to sleep 8 hours every night!! 7. BALANCE, PEACE AND JOY ARE THE FRUIT OF A SUCCESSFUL LIFE! I will work on myself this month, my "beauty" :), Take care of my skin and my hair!! |
Hey Enygirl!! Nice to see you too! Its funny how you run into the same people!
Im doing my goals today ready for tomorrow: 1. SHOOT AND SCORE! Goal for this month: 5lbs 2. WORK! COVER GIRL!!! 30 minutes a day 4-5 days a week 3. COME ON IN THE WATER'S FINE! I promise to try and actually write something each day!! 5. TODAY IS TOMORROW'S YESTERDAY! Plan plan plan is the only way I can lose weight!! So i am committed to logging my calories into the online site i use. 6. WITHOUT ENOUGH SLEEP WE ALL BECOME TALL TWO-YEAR-OLDS! I do this anyway, hurrah! 7. BALANCE, PEACE AND JOY ARE THE FRUIT OF A SUCCESSFUL LIFE! :welcome newbies! I LOVE the outcome that we're getting! You all better stick with us for the next Month!!!
I'm still waiting until tomorrow to post my goals. I want an accurate starting weight. :) Which is funny - I weighed myself last night with the scale on my very padded carpet and it read #116.8! If only it was that easy to lose #70!!! But it gave me a nice chuckle. |
Hi! Is it ok if I join even though I don’t have signature capabilities yet?
|
:welcome: leelily!!!
I'm sure Eny will let it slide for you!!!! LOL! Just keep us updated since we won't be able to see it in your ticker....you'll get your signature capabilities after 20 days (to the exact time you registered so if you registered at 10pm you won't get it till 10pm 20 days later) and at least 20 posts!! But by then you will have a good loss to show on a ticker!!! Eny - I'm with you.....I think I am gonna wait till tomorrow and post my goals and my start numbers....I already have my goals but I have to post finish on July tomorrow so I will use it as my start for August!! |
1. SHOOT AND SCORE! -
3. COME ON IN THE WATER'S FINE! - Agreed! 4. YOU REAP WHAT YOU SOW! - You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face.... You must do the thing which you think you cannot do. - Eleanor Rosevelt 5. TODAY IS TOMORROW'S YESTERDAY! - Makes sense to me! 6. WITHOUT ENOUGH SLEEP WE ALL BECOME TALL TWO-YEAR-OLDS! - Agreed! 7. BALANCE, PEACE AND JOY ARE THE FRUIT OF A SUCCESSFUL LIFE! - Clean out clutter! Practice positive self-talk! Start weight - 231.5 lbs Aug 1 - na Aug 8 -230 lbs Aug 15 - Aug 22 - Aug 29 - Final weigh-in - Some of my goals seem a bit lofty to me but it’s the perfect time to get my buns moving. I’m not working right now and at the beginning of September we'll be taking a trip to New York City and since we’ll be doing a lot of walking, I want to be fitter so I can enjoy the visit. Also, a month of crunches and taking vitamins is a good experiment. I want to know if they make a difference in how I feel or look. Thanks for starting a great challenge! :carrot: Good luck everyone! :cheer3::cheer2: |
leelily - EVERYONE IS :welcome: also if you keep posting (see #3) You'll be able to get that signature in no time! :D
momma - I'm bummed that I let myself go the last week & 1/2 - I'm not going to hit my July goal.. which means I'm going to have to push even MORE in August! I've already picked out the DVDs that I'm ordering on Amazon as soon as my paycheck goes through! I'm EXCITED! I also want to get back into the habit of doing a short WO in the morning. Which means I'll have to go to bed earlier in order to accomplish #6! :D This can work! |
Hi everyone!!! Another newbie here - just joined in May and have been hanging out in Featherweights for the most part. I have about 5lbs left to get to my "goal weight," but I think I will focus more on diet/exercise than the # on the scale since I am trying to build up my muscle :lifter: which is denser than fat anyways. I am so excited to start the month off right and I want to end the summer with a BANG - a.k.a. at goal!! :carrot: So here we go...
- Goal - My rate of weight loss has been about 1lb/week for 11 weeks, so I will shoot for a 4lb-loss by the end of August. - Exercise - My goals for August will be to work out 6 days per week - 5 days of moderate/intense cardio exercise for an hour, and 1 day of light cardio. I will do strength training 3-4x/week and pushups/crunches EVERY day!! :exercise: Also, I will walk for at least 45 min. 3 days/week during my lunch hour at work. - Mantra - "If you always did what you always do, you'll always get what you always got." Plus what's in my signature already :D - Sleep - At the beginning of the summer, I was going to bed early; now, I am hitting the hay later and later...this is a great goal for me because I can tell right away when I'm not getting enough sleep. I will focus on getting a solid 8 hours' worth of sleep - which means going to bed by 9:30pm or so. :cloud9: - Balance - All I have been doing lately is working and exercising at the gym, and I think my social life could use some attention! So this month my "balance" goal will be to get out there, meet with people, and just hang out and relax before the academic year starts up again. Good luck everyone!! :) |
Great job Eny! I love our guidelines. I will do my official post tomorrow. I told you guys before that I will be vacationing the 1st week in August. I will try to bring my laptop. Dh will love me for that.:D I will do my official last weigh-in to close my July bootcamp in the AM.
Great to see so many new faces. August here we come! |
I'm soo in..I'll be back tomorrow with all my info :)
|
Bring on August! I'm ready!
1. SHOOT AND SCORE! Alright, my goal is to lose 10 lbs this month. I know I'm reaching, but I think I can do it. I'm starting at 208.5, so that will take me down to 198.5 (under 200, FINALLY). 2. WORK! COVER GIRL!!! I have been so wishy washy with exercise, but I'll be working out (HARD) 4x weekly! 3. COME ON IN THE WATER'S FINE! Posting is a piece of cake for me! Especially if I'm doing well. Funny how I disappear when I'm not doing so great! 4. YOU REAP WHAT YOU SOW-Hmm, I'll have to think on this. But I will be thinking very positively. 5. TODAY IS TOMORROW'S YESTERDAY!-Scheduling is good. I do SO much better if I plan my meals, exercise, etc. 6. WITHOUT ENOUGH SLEEP WE ALL BECOME TALL TWO-YEAR-OLDS!-I do ok on sleep (especially if I'm eating right and exercising). 7. BALANCE, PEACE AND JOY ARE THE FRUIT OF A SUCCESSFUL LIFE! -Well, we're working hard on our finances and we "should" be out of cc debt by the end of August. But I need to sit down and do a budget so we don't slide back into debt. I also need to get control of my house (esp. my basement). School will be done by the 11th, so I will jump on the house after that. I also want to wean myself off of t.v. I realized I watch it way too much and I'm wasting my life watching other people live. So, that's it. August is going to be my month! I also have my trip in December to get ready for. My husband and I go to Vegas every December (well, we just started last year), and I promised myself I wouldn't spend my next visit there feeling fat amongst all those sexy girls. Good luck to all! We can totally do this! |
1. My goal is #10 in 4 weeks, if I lose more than that's awesome but I'm
sticking with a small goal for now. 2. I haven't worked out since last year lol...but I started my 30 minutes today by working out to the 10 minute solution, dance it off and tone it up DVD. They have 5 different workouts that each last 10 minutes and you can mix and match to make your own workout...it's great but I am working my way up to the dance workout because I have no rhythm lol!! 3. I will do my best to post 3 times a week but life can be hectic sometimes so if I miss a few days I'm sorry but I will do my best!! 4. No pain...no gain lol, that's what we said in the army and it motivated me so much!! 5. I'm doing the weight watchers thing on my own, so I can have 26 points a day...today I had 27 but I was allotted 2 extra points for the exercise I did...I'll update my progress regularly. 6. I promise to at least get 6.5 hours a night, it may be broken sleep.. like I said an 8 month old never promises you adequate sleep every nite. 7. I like to think I'm organized but one major thing I need to work on in is finding something I can do for ME. I find myself always doing for others....I never really take time out of every day for me...when I'm not playing with Brianna...I'm washing clothes or doing dishes or cooking my hubby lunch...I pledge to take 30 minutes every day to read a book or sit on the patio with a nice cup of tea. I hope this is what I'm supposed to do...this is my first "thread" on 3FC. I'm a new member so if I'm not doing this right please lemme know. Thankx! Jess |
kitegirl - :welcome: and :goodluck:
Eny - I think you need to reward yourself more often!!! You were on plan for a long long time there for a while ....and you know as well as I do if you fall off plan it is hard to get back on the horse! You can only control what is in the future!!! Suck it up girlfriend! Get back on that horse and meet your August goal! BUT....reward yourself every week.....you need to set aside some private time to yourself where you don't have to rush...and get a new haircut or get your hair styled (I even have them wash my hair...that really makes me feel pampered!), get your eyebrows waxed, give yourself a bubble bath, a pedicure, a manicure, buy an inexpensive set of earrings or some shoes that are on sale.....or reward yourself with a new workout dvd...walmart has some inexpensive ones....but if your working your butt off day in and day out and you don't anything to reward yourself then you start to dread working out and then you don't work out one day and then several days...and then the all or nothing thinking starts...."hmmm...I haven't worked out in a couple days...I may as well have lunch at McDonald's" and before you know it 3 lbs are packed right back on! STOP!!!! If your in a workout rut...change your workout!!! but get back up on that horse...and that's an order missy...LOL ...that was your butt kickin' from me...LOL :kickbutt: |
Since I'm up at 2 am unable to sleep (this happens now and then) I'll be the first one to post on Aug first? I did my 40 min lower body weight training yesterday, today is cardio day for me in my BFL plan. I started the forum that crashed in June, then in July I was gone a lot - so someone else started this one for me. Great to have so many new people, I hope more stick with it throughout the month for support. Us bootcamp girls are enjoying each other's company in our mission to lose and get in shape!
|
good morning everyone! So my starting weight for this challenge is 223, I will lose 5 lbs by August 31st. My official weigh in day is a monday, I find if I weigh on a friday all **** breaks lose over the weekend...
Went to the gym last night, so Im starting this month as I mean to go on! Off to the gym again tonight, probably Saturday morning and usually a swim on sunday. My swim on sunday really seems to make the difference with my weigh in. Lets have a good weekend everyone!! |
Good Morning Ladies!
My starting weigh is 137, I hope I reach 132.. With a lot of Jump Rope I think it's possible. I also took my other measurements today, to see what happens.. I'm starting of my workout later tonight, by doing 45 min TaeBo and some crunches. Will maybe spend one hour to work in the yard to, if it doesn't rain. Have a nice first day everyone!! It's now or never! |
GOOD MORNING GIRLS! YOU READY TO WORK??? It is Officially August - and it's time to MOVE IT TO LOSE IT!
As promised - here's my goals: 1. This morning's official August weigh in went well! I'm at #186.6. My goal for August is to KISS THE #180's GOODBYE! So I need a #6.8 loss this month! 2. I NEED this one! I've been slacking BIG time! So my goal is a minimum of 30 minutes 4x's a week. I'm going to incorporate a short 10-15 minutes into the morning routine too. 3. This one's no problem for me. :) I post 3 times an hour! 4. I'm sticking to what works: IF HUNGER IS NOT THE PROBLEM THEN FOOD IS NOT THE ANSWER! 5. I'm a calorie counter. My goal is 1200-1500 a day. I allow myself one "cheat" day every 2 weeks of up to 1800 cals. This really works for me! :) I don't limit what I eat, just how much. I still allow myself some "junk" food - if I didn't I'd binge like a mad woman! 6. This week this hasn't been a problem... but usually it is. I'm working on it! 6.5 hours of restful sleep would do me good! 7. I have a few BIG ROCKS (see horsey I'm a covey girl too. ;)) that I need to conquer. I think this month I'm going to focus on eating at home more. I'm notorious for going out 2 times a day... I have to stop that. It's not healthy, and the $ I'm wasting is INSANE! So there you have it. Come in - post often. Keep us updated on your successes as well as bumps in the road! But most of all! WORK IT! WE'RE WORTH IT! |
1. SHOOT AND SCORE!- I plan to lose 19 pounds this month. Yes, I know its quite alot but I have alot of water weight to lose since I gained 12 pounds in the last 2 weeks.
2. WORK! COVER GIRL!!! I plan to do at least 60 minutes 7 days a week. This includes strength and cardio, I do 30 day shred, biggest loser cardio max and power sculpt, walk away the pounds, soon to start couch to 5k and I use my bowflex. So I will rotate everything as best as I can. 3. COME ON IN THE WATER'S FINE! I'll try to check in everyday! 4. YOU REAP WHAT YOU SOW "Nothing tastes as good and being thin feels" 5. TODAY IS TOMORROW'S YESTERDAY! I will try my best for this. I usually plan out everything in my head but sometimes it doesn't go as well as I would like! 6. WITHOUT ENOUGH SLEEP WE ALL BECOME TALL TWO-YEAR-OLDS! I am trying to get this together. Soon my kids are starting school and I will start waking up at 6:00-6:30 sooo I'm gonna have to hit the bed by 10-10:30. 7. BALANCE, PEACE AND JOY ARE THE FRUIT OF A SUCCESSFUL LIFE! Everything needs balance lol. I would like to get my life more organized and since both my kids start school I will have a few hours to get everything together! Good luck girls! Starting Weight: 229 Goal Weight: 210 |

I have to remember that even if I don't see 229 by Sept. that I have aready accomplished so much! My focus should be more on health and how much I'm improving on nutrition / exercise rather than the number on the scale!!! 5. TODAY IS TOMORROW'S YESTERDAY! - Prior Planning Prevents Problems!!! - I will be doing a weekly menu plan as well as a daily plan for Mon - Sun and include house work, exercise, and anything else I need done for the day! 6. It will be especially important starting this month because my unemployment runs out!! Well....good luck everyone!!! Let's go! |
Ok, I'm up to try another challenge here. I have already started the 21-day challenge, but I need all the motivation possible--and encouragement to do many posts.
1. CW: is 201.4. Goal will be to be below 195. So 6.5 lbs--I can do it! 2. Already ramped up to shoot for 7 days/week of some activity 3. Agreed 4. Motto: I want a lot of things, that doesn't mean I should get them! 5. Agree, will try 6. Agree 7. Balance! Well, there are so many areas! I will work on finances, organization, no more procrastination, home relationships, ok, that's enough for now! Just a note about me--moved from Illinois to Florida, now to CA all within last 2.5 years, chaotic job changes went along with that, was creeping up in weight, got to 230 last August started to eat better and exercise, lost down to 190 by February, then went back up to 213, now back to 201. Talk about a yo-yo! Trying to effect a permanent change for myself now. |
I wanna join too! It's my first time, so forgive me if I mess up. I am printing out the original post to put on my bulletin board because I have a HORRIBLE memory... I'm shooting for 10 lbs lost this month. I keep sabotaging myself and I've been stuck around 149 lbs (give or take) for quite some time now.
I might need some help along the way with this! MrsLovett!:carrot: |
too much fun
Good Morning All! Best of luck this first day to Everybody , and
thanks for getting us started Enygirl. Here are my vitals: 1. SHOOT AND SCORE: Number one goal is to lose 5 lbs. I will weigh in at the gym during the noon hour, but I should be about 150 lbs I think, so the goal weight is 145lbs. I had DH take my measurements this morning. I think my measurements are: bust 40.5 waist 38 hips: 40.5, but it was 4:30am so I'm not sure how reliable those measurements are :dizzy:. 2. WORK! COVER GIRL!-- I'm good with 30 mins. of exercise 4 days a week. My personal goal is minimum 30 minutes 7 days a week. I have been doing the elliptical pretty faithfully, but I would like to add some variation. DH & DD bought me a WiiFit, so ideally I'd like to add that in the evening. I guess I'm getting the cardio all right, but I'd like to vary it with a combination of WiiFit, balance ball workout (free DVD from McDonalds!), and maybe some weights a few days a week. 3. COME ON IN THE WATER'S FINE!-- This will be easy for me. I LOVE 3FC!!!! I was the lurking cheater last month, but I promise to post regularly this month. :^: 4. YOU REAP WHAT YOU SOW. I still need to think about this one some. Mostly, I just want to copy you all. There are some great thoughts here. 5. TODAY IS TOMORROW'S YESTERDAY! This is really a challenge for me, and makes all the difference too. I ride share to work most days, so I can't go to the store through the week, and it really helps to go twice through the week in order to keep fresh food around. I may ask my ride share buddies if they'd like to make a pit stop mid-week. It's pretty far back into town, and plus I'm pooped in the evening. I will binge on unhealthy food if I can't get to the store often enough. I am doing pretty well with the calorie counting thing (using my blog and www.calorie-count.com). BTW, Enygirl, you said "Also if you're a points/calorie counter, schedule an approximate of haw many per each meal." What's 'haw' mean? 6. WITHOUT ENOUGH SLEEP WE ALL BECOME TALL TWO-YEAR-OLDS! No problem. I love sleep almost as much as 3FC ;) 7. BALANCE, PEACE< and JOY ARE THE FRUIT OF A SUCCESSFUL LIFE! I, too, need to work on balance in my life. I have many, many things I love to do, but only so much time in the day. I am going to try to spread myself around more evenly and be proud of that, rather than being frustrated with all the things I don't get done. :trampo: Whee!!! Here we go!!! Pigginpodgey. I'm sooo jealous of the Scotland move. Let us know how you like it. It's number one on my list of places to visit. AND PenChick, I am also a big Cubbies fan. It often keeps me from getting my exercise in though, because they take precedence over almost everything :D. I missed yesterday's game, but it looks like it was a humdinger!!!! Best of Luck today! ~Wistfulgirl |
I'm so ready for this month to get into high gear!
1. My CW this morning was 245. My goal is to lose 10lbs and hopefully more. 2. My workout plan is already 1.5 hrs 6x a week. 3. I promise to post at least 3x a week. 4. My mantra is....Action is the foundational key to success-Pablo Picasso 5. I will plan my meals and snacks 6. I sleep about 7hrs a night. 7. I will work on my attitude...I'm still a little lazy on the weight loss thing. |
