Good morning, ladies!

I am up super early to try to get some work done. My husband leaves for work at 4:30 am every day, so I just got up with him. :faint: I don't know how he does this all the time! Soon, the coffee will kick in and I will feel better.

First, to anyone who is struggling. I have been there. Just don't give up! Fall down seven times, get up eight. The short term struggles are nothing compared to the long term victory. You are all in my thoughts.

For me, I have manage to walk every day and I did try yoga a few nights ago. (not last night, though. I had a pounding headache and a sore neck!) And, miraculously, the scale has been moving steadily downward. I am now down 4.6 pounds for this month!

So....
4.6/10 lbs lost
8/31 days of exercise
"It's not a struggle if you don't fight it!"

Have a lovely day ladies. I am going to an "end-of-term" pizza (!) lunch. Wish me luck!

Heather

I am physically exhausted from working out every morning and having to wake up extra early to be able to do so. Today I am off from work and I slept in, but I will still be going to the gym at some point with my friend Shanna.

I am really hoping my weigh in on Tuesday will say 269. I haven't seen that number since... well, I can't even remember. All I can remember right now is that when I was 13 I was a size 16/xl in pants... I haven't seen size 16 since then, and I'm size 20 now! I hope that by the time I'm down to 250 I can be a size 18, then by the time I'm 225, maybe I'll be a size 16 or so! My ultimate weight goal is dependent on what my dress size will be. I really want to be a size 8 and wear medium shirts.

Nay - stick with it girl! You're going to be GORGEOUS on your wedding day!

I'm back on track! I did level one of the 30 day shred yesterday, and I felt GREAT! I'm going to attempt to stick with this everyday for as long a possible. It's nice since there's 3 levels, as I get stronger I can move up a level, and it helps keep the bordom at bay. But I NEED this to work! I SO DESPERATELY want out of the #180's FOREVER!!! I'm SO close to my original Labor day goal... and I have to WORK to hit the August goal! I CAN DO IT!

Hey everyone! TOM is coming to an end here this month so I have the rest of the month to look forward to! The weather is supposed to be great here for the rest of the week! Mid to low 80's with no humidity! Heck yeah!

I have been in a bit of a rut this week...alot going on....daughter's 1st b-day...a presentation...a final exam.....cleaning house...etc...all that is over and done with! I have also been down on my diet.....I obsess so much! Constantly weighing everyday all day and if I don't see any movement I freak out! All I can think about is all the working out I'm doing and WHAT IF I don't lose any weight! and I let that what if screw me up and I haven't done much this week.

Well....I'm getting back on track cause I want to say goodbye to those 230's this month! And I know I can do it! I just have to stick with it and watch my carbs!

Enygirl 08-08-2008 12:56 PM

momma - I'm glad to have you back! You and I seem to get on and off track at the same time! I'm back as well, eating good again - AND i did level 1 of the 30 day shred. Jillian KICKED MY BUTT!! AND I LOVED IT! :D I'm going to keep it up as much as possible. I get bored easily, so i'm glad there's 3 different levels. I'm also glad that you told me to get it Momma! THANKS!

Ok - I'm going to get back to work now... i'll check in later. :)

modcat-You definately deserve to be whatever weight you want!! If you put out your best effort, then you deserve it!!!

MrsLovett-I so admire your confidence!! I would be mortified to do something like that in public...I hate even taking before and after pictures lol.

akacutie-I know exactly how you feel...everyday is a challenge to stay on target! I am also doing the WW plan and I find it difficult because you get to eat the good stuff but in moderation...I find it hard to eat goodies in moderation...either I can have as much as I want or i won't eat it lol.

Well I see a lot of you ladies have been having TOM come around and I am sad to say tha TOM will be visiting me in a few days here :( I always bloat the first 2 days and I think I gain like 5 lbs just from that so I won't post weight loss until after TOM leaves...I won't even weigh myself!!! So far though 3 lbs lost!! YAY!!! Hope everyone has a great weekend and I'll be back up here on Monday!!!

Hey guys- checking in =) I'm down 2 lbs this week, and I'm 2/3 of the way through my couch to 5k. So, week 1 is a success!

Enygirl 08-08-2008 06:27 PM

Asynch - :woohoo: great job on the loss and sticking with the C25K! That ROCKS!

I'm still around, ladies. I'm just having a tough time getting my stuff together. School will be over on Sunday and then I will get my life together. I had a block of time today that I was going to use to exercise, but my mom called and said she had to put her dog to sleep, so I went to meet her at the vets office. Oh, it was awful. And it just put me in a bad place for the rest of the day.

So, after Sunday I will have NO excuses to not exercise or not cook healthy meals.

Hang in there, everyone! We have 3 weeks left and we can still accomplish ALL our goals!

Primm 08-08-2008 08:50 PM

I'm here. And rocking - all my goals fulfilled this week.

But I may not be able to post much, can I get a pass for that? Hubby was diagnosed several years ago with polycystic kidney disease, which can lie dormant for your entire life, or can flare up and cause problems.

Well, last week it flared. Big time. So we're looking at dialysis and a transplant in the not-too-distant future. So my days outside work are filled with renal specialist appointments, blood tests, and trying to keep his every-present depression from rearing its ugly head during this very trying time.

The thing I'm finding though, is that the opportunity to focus on "me" through this healthy eating and exercising binge is giving me the time out I need to be able to help him. And I'm feeling stronger (physically - mentally I'm a bit of a wreck!) than I ever have.

Oh, when I say all goals, I mean besides the sleeping thing. That hasn't been going too well, for obvious reasons.

Cheers girls,

Ruth

Enygirl 08-08-2008 09:34 PM

Ruth  I'm so sorry you're going through all of this! Of course you can have a pass on the 3x's a week rule... but PLEASE keep us posted! You and your hubby are definately in my prayers! You sound so strong! I'd be a WRECK!

I'm back on plan, and just completed day 2! I did the 30 day shred (day 2) today. I really like it so far. Just when I'm getting tired and think of giving up - it's over! DD and I also went for a nature walk for about 10 minutes. It's been a good day. And I've needed a good day lately.

theresia 08-09-2008 09:12 PM

Hello!
How is it all going for you..
It's going pretty well for me, Did 60 min workout today, Yesterday I was working in the yard for 140 min, it was hot, about 100 degrees.. :)
TOM hit me yesterday, so I'm up some pounds.. and I've been eating some chocolate, (always eat that when TOM comes.., can't resist)....
But I'm doing a lot better then a few months ago.. Now I have control!
Today I managed to do 5 real pushups! Personal record for me.. I'm working on reaching 100 :), Have a long plan, planning to make it by december.. Think I can do it..
Have a nice evening!

Enygirl 08-09-2008 09:25 PM

thersia - check out this website: http://www.hundredpushups.com/test.html

It is a program designed to start you from nothing to 100 pushups in 6 weeks. I made it through week 4, and let me tell you THEY WORK! In the begining I could do 7 girly pushups (on knees) and now I can do 46 without feeling like I'm going to die! It's awesome!

I'm doing pretty good today, had a great dinner at a friends house, which was very nice. :) and now I'm off to do day 3 of 30 day shred. :) I can already feel it working! I think I'm going to post my weight w/ the program either every week, or every 10 days (not sure yet) I just know that as hard as it is I better see some results! :D

Hey girls,
I just want to pop in quickly and tell you I may be MIA in a couple of days. My computer is acting up something awful and my husband finally got it to turn on after about a million tries this morning. I quickly sent in my final two assignments for my last class, so at least that's done.

I don't know what's going to happen once I turn off my computer, so if I disappear, that's why.

The Olympics are really getting my fired up to get in shape. I'm the same age as Dara Torres and holy moly, have you seen what kind of shape she's in? Plus she had a child a few years ago. I realize she's an Olympic athlete, and it's her job to stay in shape, but it certainly makes me think.

Alright Bootcamp girls, you're all doing great. Keep your fingers crossed that my computer lives another day!

Have a great Sunday!
