Concentrating on 5 lbs at a time ... yes, I think this is just what I need ... so glad to have found you!

Recently slid back 10 lbs (!!) ... oh, the angst of having to change my ticker! ... but I'll be darned if I'm gonna end up back at the original start line ... grrrrrr! *gritting my teeth!*

For some reason this morning is THE morning, and I'm ready to get back on the wagon once more ... thank you for steeling my motivation ... !

(Joined 3FC around the beginning of the big slide ... haven't posted since, so am still a newbie on the boards ... looking forward to becoming acquainted.)

Oh my gosh all I want to do today is EAT. After every other thing I do my mind goes back to food. It's so easy to get back into the habit to over eat

Tyler~ I'm south Palm bay too. Very close to Bayside. So many people had the fires right in thier back yards. It was really scary .....but so many people also risked their lives to save houses of people they hardly knew. My next door neighbors and I would really never said but a word or two to each other over the years..Now it seems like we have know each other all our lives. Almost losing our homes together has bonded us some how. How did your brother do? I hope no major damage to his house either. My daughters school is doing a fundraiser the 29th for 3 of the families that have lost thier houses in the area. If he would like to attend let me know and I will PM you with the info. There will be a local DJ (hes a parent as well) pizza, ice cream and all that fun stuff. Unless he has a child in the school then he probably already knows about it

Kitty~ Yes your right .....they have caught one person. Sadly it looks like it was more than one person setting the fires though. Police say lots of copy cats

I am at 150 this morning,, at least I am not gaining anything..
I did my second driving test today, and I am so angry,, I drove correctly everywhere,, and then when we stopped he said that I drove good, but I looked to much out of the window and to little in the mirrors ....

Ahhh theresia I'm sorry you didn't pass your test I would think as long as you were looking who cares where as long as you were looking for other traffic. I remember when I took my driving test it was a course in the back of the office .... I got points off because I didn't look left and right...I only looked right because on the left was woods and a fence. I guess I was supposed to pretend we were in traffic. I was upset about that but she did pass me. They sure try and test your nerves on those tests don't they...you could drive prefectly any other time but for some reason they like to keep you scared. You will get it next time When are you going to try again?

I have plateaued. I landed 2 pounds above my most recent low and have stuck there, mostly because I haven't really been paying attention to calories, but also because I slacked off on exercising (4 or 5 days a week instead of the 6 or 7 it should be). Two strikes against myself! Stupid self-defeating behaviour... But I'm hoping posting and tracking will help my accountability.

So, 5-pound challenge, May 19:
current: 147 pounds
goal: 142 pounds

I'll try again next week.. I must make it, because in june I'm going to dominicain republic and will stay there for maybe one year, My parents work there,, It's good, cuz I always lose some pounds when I go there

Hi folks,


This came as quite a shock, but during my weigh today I was 161.7. I know that I was dehydrated, but I clearly beat my goal of 163 lbs.

I guess, I'll be starting a new thread right away so a new challenge will begin. Thanks everyone!!!

Hey there everyone, and congrats Caroline on your success!!!!

My grandmother isn't doing well (and is my last living grandparent), so I am taking my kids on their first plane ride (two kids under 3 by myself I might add...I'm kinda nervous) to go visit her. She lives on a farm in the middle of nowhere...I don't know if she even has a scale, and I doubt that she has the internet, so I will be MIA for a while. I hope I come back lots lighter as it is my plan to get a lot of running in while I am there (thank god my knee is feeling better!!!). So good luck on your next challenge everyone, and I will join in when I get back.
