JC - welcome back!
HT, men are strange, mine used to always wait until the day before, but now he is much better. (Only took 25 years!!)
Lumi, hang in there, better days are coming. Maybe today!! You've made great choices for a long while, you are going to have off days!
NM - Christmas was good to me.
YS got me the old Miracle on 34th St, my fave.
Hubby bought me clothes, a silver bracelet and new PINK snowshoes, love them.
OS bought me an 1890 map of the town where we live and a framed 1909 photo postcard of a local church ( I collect old postcards and am a local history nut)

I think it's great that you and DH are weighing in together, my hubby has no idea what I weigh. Just that it's more than I want to.

i hope he remembers my birthday this time. last year he waited til 4 pm the day of my birthday to go shop for me. I wasted a whole day waiting on him...

HT, when is your birthday? Will he take a hint if you help him plan ahead?
Were you in to that Christmas movie with the BB gun? Maybe he really thought he had done ok? Men are not on the same wave length that we are.
On a different note, do you get the FitTV channel? They have a new Bellydancing Series coming soon. It made me think of you. I want to learn to dance this year.
How is everyone else? Hope we all post more for the New Year, I need the company. Misery loves company!! LOL, but really, it's so nice to have found all of you!
On to today's WEED
W 3.5 L, doing ok with this for the most part.
E not sure, my back is way out today, thinking a walk may be the solution. With an ab tape if I can

We like the movie...he just thought it'd be funny. May as well take it out and practice with it I suppose. I might need a real rifle one day when I own my ranch out in Texas LOL

I do get FitTV! I didn't know they were doing a bellydance show! That is awesome! I'll have to check it out and record it

I don't know if he takes hints or not. I'm hoping the WiiFit will be out by then, I've told him tons of times that I want that when it's available. Birthday is in march so hopefully it'll be out by then

Hi. I haven't posted in a few days but have been reading your posts. Weigh in this morning showed about a 2 lb gain. Not bad considering TOM and I ate everything in sight yesterday. Talk about mindless eating! Planning for a family party tomorrow. Gotta stop thinking about W.E.E.D and start doin' it!

Hey, ladies. I'm around, but buried under a mountain of grad work. Papers are all due in the next 2 weeks (or have already been due, but I've gotten an obscene number of extensions!).

Been exercising the past couple of days but my body doesn't have the stamina it did even 10 days ago. Weird how fast it went away.

Food choices have been better, too. But because of my crazy snacking over Christmas, I'm hungry all the time now and really crave sugar. Gotta get it out of my system.

Sorry no time for personals - I'm thinking about all of you! I'll try posting tomorrow. Gotta get that new challenge started. Woo hoo!

Morning all, still hoping to see 150 or even 149 for 2008. Was back at 152 this am but had lots of salt yesterday. I went to Panera, stuck w Plan but still, rings were tight this morning!!

E Ab jam and elliptical and maybe snowshoes too
E Planned it out!! Can eat great and lose weight!! Whose slogan is that, I forget??
D Did not get thru Computer room cleaning yesterday. Need to finish that.

Hi there. I'm still not back OP but drinking water and did a little exercise tonight. We had a get together today. I had some treats but I think I stayed within reasonable limits. Back to normal eating on Tuesday I hope.

Questions:

I have The Firm's Total Body Time Crunch and love it. I'm thinking about getting some other Firm videos- any suggestions? I'm also interested in the Firm's transFirmation series but have read mixed reviews. Anyone familiar with it?

I was reading about Turbo Jam on another post. What is involved with this video/series?

Grazer, I had the TurboJam videos and love them. I'm not an expert, so you may still want to look at other reviews, but for me it's upbeat and dancy (I don't dance well, but it's fun) and very high energy.

As far as technical moves, I have to be careful with my knees and lower back. There are kicks and squats (lots more squats in the strength training, but some in the cardio DVDs) and I havce to modify those or my knees would hate me. There is always someone in the group who is doing the modified workout.
