Okay...here goes.

W - 60 oz
E - Going to the gym today to get this body moving!
E - Not doing such a great job here but am thinking oatmeal, turkey sand and veggie burger for dinner? I am actually very good at planning my meals but being on vacation tends to make me lazy.
D - Deeper house-cleaning stuff (walls, windows, etc).

Have a blessed day!

BIG congrats on your long term success lumi! You are such an inspiration especially at times like now when I'm struggling!

OHHHHHHHH NURSE MICHELLLLLLLE????!!!! Get in here and tell us when the Challenge starts . . .

Hi All,

I hope you all had a nice holiday. I'm with the rest of you trying to get back on track. I managed to get three days of exercise in to counteract the extra sweets. Hopefully after the next few days I'll get the water and food back on track.

*screeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeching halt* *pant*pant*pant*pant*pant*

I'm here!!!!!!!! stupid thing won't let me log onto forums!! I will subscribe to this thread for sure.

Ok I'm sure I've gained plenty. I stopped exercising after the holiday party b/c I was so busy with school and gifts, etc. Christmas was hectic here. Everybody outside of our house got what they wanted.

My husband bought me a damn Daisy Red Rider bb gun, with safety goggles, so no shooting my eye out here. He thought he was being funny. I didn't think it was that funny. He bought me an ipaq for school too....just so i can keep track of assignments and rehearsals and other stuff. I thought it'd be helpful with keeping track of what I eat.

I spent the entire holiday sick with a cold, wrapping presents, decorating the tree, cooking food. Last couple of nights i've managed to fall asleep here on the couch....last night i was sitting up watching a movie and fell asleep...that's how tired I was.

Since I've gained (and I know I have) I would still like to shoot for the 170's for the st patty's day goal. If we manage to get into the big show...it's that weekend. That would be awesome. The weekend after that is my birthday. I'd like to go to the city for arena football and dancing and fun. There's no telling though, my husband may or may not be home.

Oh and last friday he informs me that for president's day weekend he and his friend are going to southern cali to go to disneyland. I wasn't invited to go....cuz his friend's wife is going out of town with *her* coworkers. That's fine. I can go to the casino in Reno or Tahoe or something like that with the dog

But I'm here!! I made it! I missed you all!! I hope you had a great holiday

Well, maybe I jumped into it too soon after Christmas 'cause I totally blew this day. Tomorrow my son has a basketball tournament so I am planning well to avoid another bad day.

Although today was a bad day I continue to see growth in myself as I adopt a healthier lifestyle. For example...chips did not even "sound good" tonight with dinner (sandwiches). Now, I realize that sounds pathetic but I love potato chips and have - a number of times - gone as far as literally counting them out for the calorie allotment!

So...I need to get my butt to the gym...(I did go for a walk today and go to the park with the kids and played volleyball and just walked around while they played).

aud...I teach 6th grade math and science at a very 'urban' school.

Holyteror- Welcome back, I've missed your posts!
Jasonslea- i love the goal-plans thread idea. Putting in writing for you all seems to make it more necessary to follow thru.
Tonia-I day at a time, enjoy the BB, I was supposed to be at a wresting tourney the last 2 days but DS has the stomach flu, so we are home. Passing in the chips is progress, good for you.
Aud, hang in there, holidays are almost past us. It's so hard sometimes, I was rough over Christmas, have dinner plans for NYE too, need to plan ahead for that. Maybe some kind of fish and a big salad...I'm a carbaholic... need to stay away from those because that seems to be my trigger into food oblivion!!
Musicteacher, I hear you, at least the exercise is still there, the food will refocus, I gained the same five but four were water, gone now that I am back OP,
W 3.5
E did ab jam and shovelled snow already today, think I will snowshoe with the dogs this afternoon as long as DS is not too needy. Sick men are the worst, he is 17, but like his Daddy, he is about 3 when he's sick!!
E on plan
D Finish catching up laundry, clean off my dresser (that would involve putting away more laundry!)

mothermavis....glad to hear that your weight gain is back down. Mine is slowly going down. Today i saw 140.0. Yesterday was not a good day for me. I had a light breakfast...half a bagel and one pack instant grits. I had 3 cups of coffee (about 120 calories), then while waiting on my boyfriend for lunch (which ended up being around 4pm), i was starving and ended up eating i know half a bag of chips. I mean a regular, full size bag. Then when he got home and was getting ready, i had half a ham sandwich. THEN we went out to Moe's where i ate a beef taco and had nachos and cheese and salsa. I was stuffed from about 4:30pm till 10:30pm when he came home from work and brought me some boiled shrimp. So, i am not sure if i ate 10 or 12 of those. Anyways....just not a good day and excersize???? Please. I haven't stepped foot in that gym in over a week and a half. I have soooooo got to get back in there on January 2nd.

Todays food is looking like....a ham sandwich for breakfast (with thick slices of ham off of a ham shank, lunch is a grilled chicken breast salad with honey mustard dressing and a yogurt for snack and then dinner will probably be more boiled shrimp.

W- 64 ounces
E- 1200 calories
E- yeah...right....
D- (i don't even know what to say here. really. i'm lost)

I hope everyone had a great christmas, mine was HECTIC! welcome to the newbies I cant wait to get to know everyone. I feel like I have been in hiding, I don't think I have posted in a week. The holiday weight gain has gotten to me I am so bummed but I am ready to start new. a new challenge a new year!

So I my Plan:

my normal weed
Water 80-120 oz
Exercise I need to work my way back to my hour workouts so I plan on stretching and pilates before work. ON my days off I will go to the gym and do 25 minutes of cardio (to start with).
Eats I plan on following my pre-holiday, pre-storm diet. working days I will eat 1300 cals (in 6 small meals) on days off I will eat 1200-1400 cals.
Daily goals to focus on my well being mentally and physically. don't overdo it at work or home.

My goal over the next 12(?) weeks will be to lose the weight I have gained over the holidays plus 3 more (totalling about 8 pounds).

Oh my goodness!! I didn't realize I had typed Jan 31st! Of course I meant December 31st! DUH! So, yes the new challenge will start this monday, Dec. 31st. Of course, if you'd like to excuse yourselves for New Years Eve celebrations, you can start the 2nd or so. I work the weekend and it's easy for me to sleep all day, wake up around 2 and hit the gym FIRST THING. So I think I'll be starting then.

We hung a calendar with a marker in our bathroom for our weekly weigh ins. I hate to think DH will know my numbers but it's not THAT much of a secret that I'm OVERWEIGHT.

This is weird...I've never had nails before, and typing with them is so strange! And they aren't even over my fingers yet! You can only just barely see the whites of them. But I'm noticing! (one of my resolutions=to have pretty hands/nails, and we're not allowed to have acrylic nails at the hospital, besides I hate the upkeep on them and they drive me nuts!)

I saw 243 on the scale this morning! YIKES! But I just don't want to be over 245 to start the challenge.

Well I'm thinking about starting to put some of these presents away...so much stuff!! What did you guys get for Christmas? HolyT, what was up with the RRBB gun? Is that an inside joke for you guys? Either way it didn't sound like you were amused. Last year, we got his dad the big lamp, packed it in the big crate, etc. FRAAAGILAY that must be Italian...it went over big that year. This year I got the Bath and Body stuff I asked for, a nice fluffy robe from there too, and the fluffy socks, some poker books, Dirt season One on DVD (did any of you watch that show? Courtney Cox on Fx? It was really good! very racy!) and my mom got me a gc to the runners store!! I'm going to buy some good running shoes SOON. and some gingerbread men for my kitchen, some perfume, the usual.

Well I wonder what the kids are getting into. Lots of love. See you soon xoxooxo Michelle

DH thought he was being funny. I was annoyed...he waited til christmas eve to shop for me (and the idiot had swiped some of my bacardi 151 for rumballs after he said he wouldn't) and he was hung over and we'd argued so i told him i didn't want to see him. he left and brought back that stupid thing. I thought it was guitar hero He bought me that iPAQ but it was for school assignments. Not really fun stuff. I bought him a gps system for his "new" car and well he's going to so cal for presidents day while I sit at home and do schoolwork b/c I wasn't invited.

We spent so much money on getting xboxes and a laptop for his niece and nephew and my brother and a stupid ps3 for his brother (31 years old at that) who has medical conditions (tourette's and add apparently) and he can't hold a job but he can have a driver's license. explain that to me! and he buys me a bb gun. Yeah I was not pleased. I got some bath n body stuff and some stamping stuff from my friends.
