Happy Birthday Aud!

I too am a night shift worker. Have 3 kids - none of which live at home at the moment. Most of my exercise is running. I am currently training for a marathon in May and it would be SO much easier to run without the extra weight.

Happy belated birthday Aud!!!

I am happy to report that i finally hit an even 60 pounds dropped. Now granted...this is 2 years in the making...but hey....i made it!! Now only 6 pounds left to go on my original goal from 2006. I am not really doing so well right now on the "losing" path but at least i am not on the "gaining" path. Believe me....i was bowled over when that scale read 136. It almost read 135.5....so i was pretty amazed and thrilled. If i could just reach one more pound lost by new years eve....i would have lost 35 of those pounds this year....but 34 is nothing to sneeze at. I don't really have a weed until after christmas.

I have been so far off plan, it is pathetic.
I have gained 5 lbs, hopefully mostly water and TOM but either way, need to refocus before I've gained 6.
W 3.5 today, have only had about 8oz so far so I need to suck it up.
E Done with both Turbo Sculpt and Ab Jam, that's 60 minutes so far. Also got new snowshoes for Christmas, going out on those too. I love to snowshoe and what a butt workout.
E On plan, no variations.
D Christmas is over and was awesome, but I am not going to wait to focus on me on January 1, I have restarted today. I expect most of my extra weight is water and TOM, should come off almost as fast as it went on.

I'm with you MotherM. I've been off plan Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Today I'm trying to get back on track. I'm feeling the effects of over indulging- I hate Food Hangovers!!!

I wouldn't be too concerned with your weight gain. Especially if you haven't been drinking much water. I was down to 136 one day and this morning back up to 141. I know i didn't gain 5 pounds....but i do know that i haven't gone to the restroom and i haven't been drinking any water to flush out the sodium and such. I am drinking water now and can't stay out of the bathroom!!! I expect if i eat on plan for the next few days, i should see my 136 again in no time. So, don't stress....it's probably just build up of sodium and solids.

My weed for today:
W- 64 ounces (at least)
E- 1200 clean calories
E- none tonight...got to pick up and drop off my girls with their grandparents
D- just follow the plan and all will be right!!!

I'm in. I have never posted here before but WOW! the enthusiasm! I will post my weed later - what does WOW stand for?

I just posted my goal of 20 pounds by Valentines day and St Patricks day is about 4 weeks from then so I am going to set a goal of 30 pounds. YIKES! I am just getting back on track (well, I soon will be... ) and I would like to lose right at 100 so I am confident I can lose 30 by 3/17/08.

I am a teacher so I have a week and a half to get myself planned out for the year (shouldn't be too difficult as it is what I do for a living - planning, I mean! )

Hi everyone - Boy, do I hear what you're all saying. I've gained almost 5 pounds in a week. Did the homemade pierogis on Christmas Eve, appetizers all day long on Christmas (I think I ate 3 bricks of cream cheese all by myself!), and lunch out today with my sisters.

The good news is that I've kept on the treadmill (except for today - but I did walk to the restaurant ). I've actually increased the speed and distance, but stayed with the same length of time. I'm up to nearly 3 miles in 30 minutes. I'm on vacation this week, so I'll do some extra.

Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas!

W - 40 oz
E - strictly on plan
E - 45 min on treadmill
D - What's done is done, just move on to doing what I know I need to!

Hey everyone! I guess I should consider myself lucky there was no celebrating in my house this year.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the challenge 'officially' start DEC. 31st? Jan 31st would only give us like 7 weeks.

Welcome Tonia!

Oh, ladies. I need to be back on the WEED. I'm crawling back after almost a week of unrestrained eating and very little exercise. I feel sluggish and icky and am pretty unhappy with my complete lack of discipline and self-control.

But tomorrow is a new day! I'm pretty sure I've gained weight, but it couldn't have been all of the 10 pounds I'd lost, so I'll still be ahead. I need to get my butt in gear and be posting.

Friday's WEED -
W - Guzzle, guzzle, guzzle. Aim for 3 full water bottles.
E - Wake up early and do a cardio workout. Woo hoo!
E - No more sugar, it makes me feel crappy.
D - Don't beat myself up, just move forward. It's not the end of the world that I overate for a while. What matters is what I do now.

I already feel better. I'll post tomorrow night with an update.
