I just looked at my post and should clarify. I don't intend to lose 108 lb this month, though that would be awesome. I would like to lose 10 lb, since I am starting and have so much to lose, that should be reasonable to begin. I want to make healthier food choices and exercise 5 times a week for at least 30 minutes each day. The weather should be cooperative this week, so maybe that will give me the boot that I need!

Looking forward to roaming around to see what is here.

Hey Greeneyz, so glad you're here. You'll find good support here from Steamie!!! It's funny because I want to say to you "you can do this girl = lose 108 pounds", and I really, really believe that, why couldn't you do that? I need to believe that of myself now!!!!!

Hi Buttermom - I just LOVE your username because I love butter!!!!!

*I can't believe it!!!! Last night after I ate....I ate over what I planned but it was healthy stuff......then I was relaxing as I do every single night......in front of the TV [blushblush] and then the fantasies came, my mind was conjuring up "go to the store for a coke" "go to the store for some cheesies", on and on and on like I usually do until I can almost TASTE my fantasies and then of course I have to live my dream right?? Night after night, year after year this has been my routine. So last night I was fantasizing but I DID NOT FOLLOW THROUGH........I actually got a taste of breakin' the chain baby!!!!! I couldn't believe it and this morning I actually (which I never do) gave myself the HIGH FIVE in respecting what I had accomplished.

I am on my way girlfriends!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Welcome, Greeneyz! You can definitely do it! The support here is great. We're with you!
Way to go, Ray! That's so awesome that you didn't follow through with your craving. I know how hard that is sometimes. I always try to tell myself that if I did it once, I can do it again and feel much better for it! I always think that if we turn down something we really, really, really want, then God should take 5 pounds away right then and there, like saying, good job! Wouldn't that be lovely? If only.
FSA - thanks again for your support! I know what I had for lunch didn't sound like much, but that was one BIG sandwich! Anyway, thanks again, I did make it through and managed to stick to a Slim Fast for dinner. Have a great day everyone!

Hi - fl oz - means fluid ounces. it is diffent from weight ounces. Like a cup holds eight fluid ounces of water...but a baby weighs 7 pounds 4 ounces of cuteness. I've never actually measured how much 1 cup of water weighs

I appreciate all of the support I am already getting. My other challenge has been smoking. I had quit for 18 years, why I picked it up, I'll never know. I was thinking about quitting, but my job was driving me crazy. There is nothing to do, so I surf the net 7 1/2 hours a day. My boss was in today and I asked for some projects. He told me to come in, do the work and go home and enjoy myself. I think I will be smoke free tomorrow. I have two walks planned, then I am going to buy new walking shoes and plan the food for the week. I'm trying to not count calories or follow a plan other than three ligt meals, and two snacks of fruit or yogurt, or a combo. I get frustrated when I have to measure and count and then I give up.

Ray - great job not listening to those cravings. If you did it once, you can do it again. Have you tried something to keep your hands busy in front of the tube? It may help if you can find a craft that you enjoy. Cheesies on your needlework isn't good!

Mindimo - Congrats on the upcoming wedding.....a June bride! Maybe you will be so busy with the final preparations you won't even have time to think about it.
