Hi, dgpebbles, and thanks for your kind words! It only took me about 12 years to lose all the weight! I lost 50 or so, and then had a baby, and that was it for awhile. Then I lost the additional over a 3 year period. I'm a weightloss surgery patient, and it's not for everybody! It did work for me, though I had some complications along the way.

I can tell you that I honestly love exercising, and I know it's the key to acheiving and maintaining any significant weight loss, no matter what method (diet and/or surgery) you use!

Thanks again!

Default Good day

Went to the club today and did one hour water aerobics and 30 minutes of strength machines. Didn't have time to do my free weights tho'. I'm just getting into free weights. Does anyone use a trainer for that?

Oh, and I'm down 2 pounds

Lightbulb my goals!

well, i've discovered that i am really not that great at dragging my *** off the computer/couch! lol

so, my goals are:

for the end of this week...finally watch that pilates video
for the end of this month...be up to 25 minutes of running (i'm at 11 now, i'm really out of shape!)
up to 25 reps of belly crunches/etc.
walk to work atleast 3 days/week

I also want to start getting outside to run, rather than just doing it in the house. i have to get over my fear!

Oh my gosh, I'm back. I have been so sick. The 20 minute walk this morning totally wiped me out. But I know the only way to get back to the apartment is another 20 minute walk, so at least I am getting some movement and exercise in finally.

As of last Thursday I had fever and bone-achyness. I finally went to the doctor yesterday - It turns out i have bronchitis. Yuck. But I am on antibiotics now, so should be feeling better shortly and back in the exercise saddle.

I have a funny feeling I won't be breaking any records with my February totals

****

2/01 - 35 minutes total - 30 walking; 5 yoga
2-02 through 2/07 - nothing
2/08 - 40 minutes walking

October = 1176; November = 1235; December 1192; January 1276

Fishwoman, I'm so sorry you're sick. I'm glad you've got some meds... you'll soon be back exercising. Sending you a big hug, sweetie...

Hello! I had another 20 minute walk this morning. I'll be on the train back to D.C. tonight, so no evening walk (maybe if I run along side the train? )

My plan is to make it to the gym tomorrow - we shall see. Stay strong, everybody!
