Sherry~ that happens to me too.....I think thats what is going on right now. My theory......now I could be wrong, but I think our bodies get used to the way we have been eating, and then balances itself out to compensate. We stop loosing! So we either have to change up the eating, or change up the exercise. For me, I usually have to start cutting back on the fats about now, and eat alot more veggies. So that's what Ive done. We have to keep our bodies guessing.....otherwise, it gets used to what we are doing and settles into it.......thats my theory anyway.
Not alot happening, we have been pretty busy with some sign stuff, and Ive been feeling a bit blue. I know its just the weather, and "that time of the year" a trip to a sunny part of the country would be wonderful. But I dont think thats going to happen this year.
I still havent totally decided on the gym. I havent been able to get dh to commit to coming with me, so Im not going to push it. So....do I want to go alone?
Robin - Yes, you want to go alone. Remember, he's not the one that going to wear your swimsuit when the sun comes back out!
OK Girls, you gotta try this...
1 8 oz pk creamcheese, softened
1/4 c. any flavor SF DiVinci's
1/4 t. vanilla
1 med. egg
Beat the creamcheese, vanilla and Divinci's syrup till smooth. Add the egg and mix till blended (don't overbeat). Pour into 6 lined muffin cups and bake at 350* for 20 minutes. Ta Da... almost instant custardy textured cheesecake, and only 1.5 carbs per
Tenn
PS It's OK warm, but goooooooood cold from the fridge

Reason: to add a note to the recipe
Yum!!! That sounds sooooo good! I love custard AND I love cheesecake. AND that sounds like a 'cruise approved' food. (that's what I've been doing lately before I put something in my mouth: asking myself if it will help or hurt me in my quest to look good on my June Cruise.)
Oh! L! I love that pic of Daisy - she looks like a real sweetie! I just love labs (well, really, I can't think of a dog I don't like.....)
Thank you, she is a really good pup, at 6 months she knows all of her comands and a few tricks no accidents since the 2nd week home, Loves kids and walks on a leash like a dream, I know the "teen" months are coming, but I am going to live in the euphoria of what is good now...might have to steal your solgan for my doggie forum
Steal away, L! lol - Funny but one of the first things I needed to know about my guy, Rob, was whether he was a dog person or not. And I quizzed him about it in detail since it is sooo easy for someone to just say "Oh yeah, I love dogs." So I asked him if he acutely dislikes the smell of dogs (yes, they do smell at times and so does your house, at times, no matter how often you wash them and clean), has a problem with dog hair, could 'dog talk', understands my dogs are nearly as important as my kids, accepts 'inside' dogs even if they are nearly moose-size, etc. He had all the right answers! lol
Glad to hear that you are having a great experience with you dogger, L. Labs DO love to chew things up when they are young, tho. They don't 'mean' to, it just 'happens'!
Brenda, have you considered answering phones at home? A lot of women do it while their kids are in school.
1-800 Flowers, Office Depot, several airlines, a lot of credit card companies and others use workers at home. My husband did this for about 8 months for the office supplies. You aren't allowed to tell callers you work from home and they have no idea. Saves the company money because they don't have to pay for a building and all the associated expenses.
sherry there is a thread I wrote about 3 years or so back regarding stalls and water it is in the FAQ I think it is still there. I will search.
Just doing a drive by here so
work is keeping me busy but that is about it. Brenda I can certainly relate to the misery that was whal lost control over me but it was a truly financial do or die situation.
I'm getting better. Got a good amount of sleep last night. THANK GOODNESS!! Still got the icky nose and sore thorat, but much better than before. Tons of of things to do today and I need to get my butt on it since all I have done the last 2 days is lazy around.
Sherry and Robin~I have that same problem w/a big loss and then stall out. I have found that if once a week or 2 days back to back in a 2 week span I increase my calorie intake and allow a few more carbs. I have found doing that and then going right back to the induction phase and that helps sometime.
Brenda~good luck w/your search. I sent you some other info, I hadn't read through everything before doing so. Good luck w/it all. Glad you have time to look things over instead of rushing into something. Did you get the checkbook done?? LOL @ it being 2years.
L~
Sue~
Susan~
Kel~LOL about your man and being a dog man.
Tenn~I have copied down that recipe!! YUMMY!!! How many carbs and calories are in it?
L: I'm sure the pup keeps you getting LOTS of exercise!! I love our "puppy" (yes, we still call her that sometimes even though she's almost 6 years old). We taught her to ring a cowbell on the doorknob every time she needs to go out
Robin: If you truly want to join a gym maybe you should go by yourself. Then again, if you go by yourself you can report to DH Ease his mind.
Tenn: Dang you woman! If I get addicted to THAT you're in trouble!!
Kel: Good for you asking all those questions! Dh doesn't like inside dogs (only tolerates this one because I refuse to make her stay outside). We got her almost 6 years ago..and we'd been married 11 years at the time so didn't know it! As for dogs chewing OURS chewed up a couch AND a bed!! Got her a bunch of chew toys after that
Susan: I wouldn't mind answering phones from home. Was thinking of trying to find a data input job but I'm not really sure where to find either! Thanks for the advice
Sue: Isn't it amazing how many people HAVE to work and really would rather stay and take care of their kids? I think THAT should be a paying job. Wonder who we'd get to pay for that
Bec: Thanks for the information. There's a message on my machine from a lady not far from us about home business'. So I'll give her a call and see what she has to say I don't plan on paying to get into the business though, so should be interesting.
Well, I haven't been exercising. My body for some reason is deciding to be achy. Mostly my knee joints, but the rest of me is not quite right. Well, worse than usual anyway It's like I'm losing energy instead of getting it. I'm taking vitamins, eating TONS of veggies. So not sure where the problem could be from. Lack of enough water maybe? Could it be that simple? Any clues???
I'm glad you're feeling better Bec! By my calculations (with store brand cream cheese) each one has 40 calories, 1.5 fat, 1.5 carbs
I love Susan's idea of answering phones from home! That would be awesome! No commute, no expenses for work clothes, etc., and if you could work the hours you needed, that could be perfect!
Day 5 w/NO WEIGHT LOSS! I'm not ready to give up, but I'm not a happy camper about it either. I'm hoping the woosh fairy waves her magic wand over my gut soon!
Tenn: Did you measure first? How about the clothes...fitting looser? Do you FEEL better? All ways to "measure" your success w/out using the scale (can you tell I'm using this speech on myself a lot? )
Lacey: It does get confusing at times, doesn't it? Even jumping in every day is hard to keep up sometimes
I'm cold again. And tired. I could go for a nap. But that won't get the checkbook figured out. It'll take me DAYS to just get the information INTO the computer. Then another couple days I'm sure to figure out where it's screwed up. IF I can even get it figured out. I'm so tempted to call the bank and just tell them I need a new account DH told me I could blame him for the mess. He's so sweet
Tenn~ you're right, Im doing it for me....and the sun will eventually show up again.
Brenda~ good luck finding work. Something from home would be wonderful, but like you I dont know where Id look for something like that.
Its getting on february, and Ive managed to get thru january without getting too funky....Im not going to make it thru feb Its been so dreary here, that the solar street lights in a little town about 10 min from here wont light up!!! No sunshine!! Im hanging on and trying to be positive, but its getting harder and harder every day! I'll take 3 feet of snow to this crap anyday!
Alright, Ive had my pity party.....not much new around here. My food intake is horrid!! I'll try again today to get back to it. I managed alright yesterday until the valentine chocolates called my name. Then in true binge-er fashion, I over did it! Ontop of all that tom is wacky, late, and Im just now starting pms (day after its due)
Dh is coming down with something, he's hacking, and his voice is about 3 levels deeper!!
Im just a bucket of cheer this morning arent I??
Im going to get to the gym today, and do my very best to have a very good day! Sunshine or not!!
Robin: you definitely need sunshine. You're definitely not your usual chipper self. Valentine chocolates? OY!!! Come on girl, snap to it! You can do this---you know you can. Yup, hard to do with PMS, TOM and other system meltdown functions...but you're doing great so jump back on track What brand of protein shake do you get? How many carbs are in it?
Ok. I'm thinking I'm getting sick. I can't warm up. I'm tired (more than usual) and I'm a little sick to my stomach. ARGH! I can't get sick now! Drank a protein powder drink in thinking maybe I wasn't getting enough protein. dang, I don't know what to think!
