Morning all, I'm feeling prety cruddy today. Actually started Sunday w/my migraine (all from stress) and I think that because I have been so stressed that this cold that I have been keeping at bay has finally decided to rear it's ugly self in full force. I didn't exercise yesterday and food today is gonna be liquids or soft things and of course I don't have many soft things in the fridge. I am down a pound. So that is nice. I'm gonna kind of do group personals instead of individuals today. Sorry.

To all that have lost---WOO HOO! Way to go.

To all who have the bathroom problem, I'm w/you on that. I have found though that adding some eggs (at least it works for me) and LOTS of water it helps. I have heard about the fiber tablets though. There also has been some chatter in other forums and what not about those 'cleansings'. Not sure about those.

To all who are sticking w/their exercise and water...WAY TO GO!!

To all who also had a rough weekend, so many of us are in that boat and we just have to work harder at it, myself included and even if we are 'good' during the week, at least we are getting good in more times than not.

Have a good & OP day.

Brenda - I have so found myself doing the same thing... doing something and then popping a cracker in my mouth or something and thinking WTHeck am I doing.. lol I have spit it out before to.. Now that it has been some time I don't do that anymore.. but geesh it was so aggravating the first time.... WTG on the work out though like you said and I agree something is better than nothing. And the Caffiene headache I have to.. but how do you make your capp so it is low carb.. I think Dunkin Donuts has a version now to that is low carb but I am not sure sure......A bulg of fat??? You mean like it is collected there and sticking out.. Ohh I don't want to see what is going ot happen to my body when this fat starts to melt away... I am scared.. lol

Robin - WTG on the inches lost.. that is AWESOME... how often do you measure??

Bec - I hope you will be feeling better soon..nothing worse than a migraine and the stress that causes them.. I hope you can get some rest and feel better.. WTG on the weight loss.. every pound counts right..

Bec: Sorry to hear you're not feeling well. I hope you kick the bug & stress soon!

Tenn & Robin:

Chris: the cappuccino is stuff from the store. It's made by General Foods International. SF French Vanilla cappuccino. YUMMY!! How to explain the bulge. Hmm...where my thighs rub together..instead of just a bulge of fat there, it's like a LONG bulge going down the leg. Now, if I didn't know better, I'd say it was a muscle. But I KNOW that's now where I have muscles

Well, stress decided to rear it's ugly head (well that and hormones!!) and I had a meltdown. LUCKILY I wasn't at home so couldn't scarf the 2 remaining donuts. Yup, had I been home, those buggers along with other things WOULD have been devoured. DH and I had decided it was time I returned to work. MY issue is..my kids have NEVER gotten themselves on the bus themselves. I LOVE getting them on the bus. SO, whatever job I get would have to arrange itself around that. I know, good luck around this little town. DH doesn't want me driving too far (he doesn't want to have to worry) so that means I'm limited. Interesting predicament, eh?? Well, I promptly came home, drank a cup of cappuccino and then went to bed and buried my head. Yup, seriously! No, didn't sleep. Just dazed out. But now I've got a LITTLE better disposition. Dang, I hate being cranky!

But sounds like a you have a pretty good reason to be "cranky" I would be to.. is this something you have to do quickly (finding a job) or something you can be picky?? I don't know what I will do when I have to go back to work.. my youngest is going to be 5 in April and will be going to kindergarten in the fall.. so next year will only be 1/2 days I don't ahve to worry about it but once all 3 of my children are in school full time I don't knwo what I will do.. I like you want to be here for them in the mornings and when they get off the bus in the afternoon.. the way I look at it is this I haven't stayed home taking care of these 3 children for the last (by the time they are all in school) 12 1/2 years to then go to work and work until 6pm and not be here when IMO they need a parent around most.. when all the bad peer pressure starts and what not.. also the fact that my children are into so many things after school does that all end becuase I have to work full time?? Now don't get me wrong I have nothing against mothers working.. it just isn't for me.. so I kind of know how you are feeling... ((((hugs)))

Morning, feeling BLAH still. Slept off and on yesterday. Didn't sleep worth a crap last night I think I am on about 4 hours of sleep and I have to finish getting the tax stuff ready to go and get our taxes done this morning. AUGH. I relieved some of the stress by writing a 10 page letter over the last couple days and sent it to those giving me the stress. We shall see if I hear anything. If I don't I will know that I was never important to them to begin with. I am hoping to get some more sleep today or just something. I doubt I will be working out tonight. Hard to do that when your nose is like a facuet and you can't breathe out of it.

Tenn, Robin, Sue & Chris~HI!!!

Brenda~Sorry to hear about having getting a job. Have you ever thought of working out of your home? There are lots of things you can do. Good luck w/that. DH and I have always had the deal that I would go back to work full time once all the kids were in school full time but it would also be something that I could still be here for them when it was needed. I do a direct sales company (i sell mixes for a company that help busy people bring their family back to the dinner table) and I do like that a lot, but come this spring I am starting a cosmetology apprenticeship. I still have 3 1/2 years before all my kids are in school full time. Good luck with your hunt.

Have a good and OP day friends!

Brenda, I'm sorry that you have to find some outside work It's so hard to make it anymore, it's wonderful that you've been able to be a SAHM for this long. I hope you find something part time near home soon! Have you considered child care? If you did that, you wouldn't have to go anywhere. I hate the stress\hormone combo to, it makes me break out like a teenager! Overall, reason to be cranky, and CONGRATS on the donut dodge!

Sleeeeeeeeep Bec... Sleeeeeeeeeeep.

Nothing much to report from this end, except that I feel like crap, so it must be working! My head's banging, my muscles ache, my urine stinks... yep... it's Ketosis. I can't wait for the "flu" to leave and my energy to come back!

Have a great day everyone

Chris: Sounds like you have the same opinion as me. My girls are 13 and 11 and don't get along (as was forced home again this morning as I broke up their argument AGAIN). So how on earth would I trust them to get on the bus by themselves? Then it could be looked at...I spoiled them. But hey! If loving them is spoiling them, so be it, right? Thanks again

Bec: I hope you can sleep soon. My troubles are small compared to what you're going through. Hope they wisen up and realize what they're screwing up before it's too late Funny you should mention cosmetology apprenticeship. I have an appointment (that after much consideration I'm going to cancel) on Friday for a cosmetology school!! Not sure how to get into a home business. Was thinking of that, as well (but the not knowing where to start is the kicker).

Tenn: Hope you feel better soon! I'm still waiting for the energy (that doesn't come from over-caffeinating myself) to come! I'm seriously thinking I'm doing this wrong. Might have to re-look at stuff again. WTG on getting it right!!! Keep up the great work!!

Thanks for all the advice, encouragement and hugs. Greatly appreciated. I've looked the situation over and it's not URGENT (as in, need it tomorrow) that I get a job. Just something that needs to be addressed within the next few months. So I CAN be a bit choosy. I've gone on the internet and applied to a few places (hospital, mcdonalds, etc) that I thought might work around my needs. We'll see how that turns out. And yup, have the appointment for cosmetology school (yes, VERY interested BUT a: depends on how much WE'D have to dish out, and b: can't see starting a career like that when the girls still need me. Or is it I need THEM? Anyway. Decided that wasn't an option) but will be canceling it. Truthfully? I'd love to work at the hospital doing admitting stuff. But, we'll see. If it was meant to be, it'll happen. Eating wise, I managed to NOT eat the donuts but DID drink too much cappuccino (and no water ) . I've stepped on the scale and it's up..but I FEEL much thinner (though my pants aren't looser. There again, they're the elastic type) and better. And THAT is why I'll continue doing my best Thanks again

Well my scale has been giving me fits this week. I got down to 15 pounds off last week and then just about the time that the weekend came I was up by 3 or 4 pounds. Frustrating. I am not even sure why either. I know I had a couple of days there when I ate too much low carb junk. And I had one day when I ate "reduced carb" pasta. But mostly I've been staying on all low carb food. All I can figure is that the pasta must have pushed the water content in my body higher than it normally is.

So I'm trying to be patient and wait for the pounds to fall off again. It seems that this is a pattern for me. I start back on Atkins, I lose really well and then I hit a point where the scale goes UP again, without me doing anything (or much) different. Before when it would happen I just figured it was that time of the month, but I think I'm past the change this time around, so that can't be it. But in the past when that would happen I would start to get discouraged and give up. This time I'm not going there. I'm going to hang with it and see if I can outride it. Surely it can't stop working forever can it?

Robin: Do you put anything in your coffee? Is it decaf or caffinated?

Sherry: Keep up the great work and don't let the scale get you down. Shoot, if I let the scale get me down I'd be eating everything in site. Mainly because it seems (for me) I'm done losing weight. Just remember to go by your clothes, how you feel and measurments!!

Trying to balance the checkbook today. Should I mention I HATE balancing it? Should I also mention it's not balance in over 2 years? The bank says we have more than I figure..so that's good enough for me Ok, enough procrastinating on my part...time to get back to it
