Robin I'm so bad at words but my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family
EM: yep, I've got that little tire too. Everytime dh puts his arms around me, that's where his hands land. like he thinks it's his own personal resting spot or something, I can't WAIT to be rid of it! Congrats on the new machine and tapes, how fun to have some variety!!
well I finally lost another pound and you can bet your butt that I scooted it down on my ticker. It's taken me 3 weeks to lose that pound. Wish I could frame the darn thing just to remind myself how hard I've worked to get it off!!!
walked 3 1/2 miles today and it's still taking a long time for me to thaw out but I'm so glad I braved the cold and it's done for the day. It was one of those days where I dreaded every single step. And some weirdo pulled over to the side of the road, stopped his pick-up, GOT OUT and walked around to the other side and asked me if I needed a ride. I'm just not sure how else to let people know that I'm just a fat chick walking and not a stranded woman.
oh, one more thing...my oldest dd's Christmas play is tonight and for the first time in my life I don't absolutely dread going and having to deal with old friends, teachers, etc. Of course DH is working so I'll be going by myself but that's alright
Have a good day girlies!

EM: As far as the weight dropped, it is a good feeling to have accomplished that so far and a good feeling physically, too. I no longer get winded going from work to my car, I fit in a lot of seats that I couldn't fit into before, I'm moving a lot swifter too. I couldn't imagine being back under 300 and now I keep lowering that number (that I can't imagine being at again) even though I now know that it is possible. You are doing great, too. It's good to see you so active on the board, too. I hope to spend a little more time here after the holidays are over. Careful with those sugar-free chocolates! Even if they don't stall you, you most likely will be spending a lot of time in the bathroom. But on the positive side, if you ever need a laxative, you don't need to get the nasty chewables, just binge on SF chocolate!

Well, down two more today! Total of 68lbs. If I get down to 280 by the new year I'll be happy. My Christmas goal was to have lost a total of 80 lbs, but with last week's gain and loss, I don't expect my body to lose 12 lbs in a little over a week. Stranger things have happened, but I'm not starving myself for it!
I love the snow here in Wisconsin. The roads are mostly good now and the snow is awesome packing snow. I aatually don't have a shovel yet (only have a patio to shovel) so I took a ladle outside with me last night when I put Rusty out to go potty and I was scooping the snow off the patio, but in the process I was inadvertently making snowballs and throwing them at Rusty. That was my DUH moment last night. But he was having a great time chasing the pieces of the disintegrated snowball after it smashed into the ground. He's just a big goofball and with this being his first winter, he has a lot to experience. I had chipped slabs of packed snow of the patio the other night and when I threw them off the patio, he thought they were frisbees and would pick them up in his mouth and bring them back to me. When he dropped them he would go to scoot it around with his paw and crush it, but he couldn't understand what had happened to his toy. I just sat there freezing my butt off and laughing hysterically.
Anyways...back to work...
Have a great day everyone!
Andrea
Iloveadam: Yup, scales are evil. Let us know what the doc office one says. I dislike those ones even worse than the one I have
Robin: Sorry to hear about your MIL, but glad everyone is doing ok. Prayers go to you and your family!
EM: Don't worry about keeping stories straight. I'm still having a hard time with it I enjoyed my step aerobics--and you don't need a step to start out with because the placement of your feet is enough of a workout!! I tried doing the step w/the risers starting out and KILLED myself. Of course, this was back when I was doing the 3 mile WATP tape and then would turn around and do 20 minutes of step aerobics...now I'm back to slug motion. The afghan picture was on page 2 I believe, and it was crocheted. I can't get how to knit, so I take the easy way
Stacie: You could always have someone hide the scale on you and tell them to only get it out one day a week But I hear you, I'm back to (trying) weiging myself every day. I didn't get to today---too busy. ARGH! lol You're doing great!!
Lacey: WOOHOO!! Congratulations on the pound! And you bet you should grab it on the ticker!! I know I would!!
Well, MIT meeting went well. Eating is OP, drinking water is so-so. So I'm considering myself doing good. I PASSED UP CHRISTMAS COOKIES TODAY! Wahoo!! One good thing done for the day. Ok--here's the newest news from my area. A teenage girl was abducted from up the road a few days ago. She (Thank God!!) got away from them and is ok. BUT the police have NOT let the area homeowners know (I heard it through the grapevine and then read it on a news report) what to watch for! ARGH! So I printed the news report out and handed it to the school!! Danged if I'm going to sit by and have this possibly happen again. Especially seeing how (So they say) the car/people are STILL DRIVING AROUND THE AREA!! SCARY! So the lady that told me (oldest DD babysits for their kids) about it and I decided to step up our own security and watch on the kids. They're no longer allowed to play outside by themselves (her or I have to be there to watch them), oldest DD will not be walking to or from her house anymore (even in daylight--as that was when the girl got taken!!!!!), and her kids will now be dropped off at our house and we'll walk them home. That way if the boys' dad isn't home, DD will be walked there to babysit, or the boys will be walked to their dad. Either way, we're keeping our eyes (and ears) open!!! Danged if our small village isn't getting corrupt! First vehicles being broken into, now this!! Lord help us, what next??? Ok. Then the NEXT bit of news I've found out is my BIL cut the tips of his fingers off (3 of them). He was blowing snow, it clogged, and he was beating on the side of it when it caught his glove and sucked his fingers in. BLIP went the tips and Thank God it wasn't worse!!! Could have been his whole hand!! DH will be able to relate as he had his fingers cut off ('88). So he'll know of the pain and such BIL is going through. So that's the news around here. *sigh* never a dull moment. OH!! My Dad's surgery went well. He came home on Sunday. And DH's dad (found this out AFTER the fact!!) had outpatient surgery (DH was PO'd that we weren't informed so we could be there for him!) and is fine--no cancer! Thank God!! So other than that??? Life is peachy
Andrea: You snuck in there on me. That Boot Camp sounds like a blast! Thanks for the information--if I ever find the urge the exercise again I'll have to check into it. I like the variety. Congratulations on the poundage lost! Keep up the excellent work!
Wow Brenda!! Im always so afraid for my daughter. Its so scary!! You know I was thinking, there is too much of it here (buffalo) and maybe I could talk dh into moving up to canada, to a much smaller town. But it doesnt really matter does it?
AHA!
I took a notepad and took notes and NOW I can do personals! Yay!
Lacey: I know its a busy season right now! No rush on the pkg, I totally appreciate the sling and cloth diapers and whenever they arrive I will be happy no matter how 'late' you think they are. As far as stretch marks go, Honestly I have to say I didn't fare to bad in that dept. I have quite a few, but they aren't bright red or purple now. They faded pretty well. But I do have this site on my lower tummy sides where my fat puckers like saggy, 90 year old woman skin on both sides. Its kind of disgusting. I can push my belly fat all the way to one side and see what I'd look like if I lost it. Pretty sexy, but then I let it flop back and I'm disgusted. LOL
Nah, I love myself no matter what size I am; but I'd love to be happy with my body! Congratulations on getting into size 14's. I think thats my goal size. I would LOVE to be a 14. But probably when I get there, I'll push myself even harder. Just a 14...Wow! Good on you!!!
BEC: Even if it is all in your head, its still real to you. I have heard similiar stories from women who have had their hysterectomies. Maybe theres something to it. Hang in there and take care of yourself Robin: I'm sorry that you lost your MIL last night. I know that it probably put you at peace, but I'm still sorry. I hope your husband is coping alright and I'm sending warm wishes and prayers your way.
150: Thanks so much for the encouragement. It means a lot! I know what your saying about the flu and colds just hanging around. Keep visiting here, so we can encourage you. And rememeber, (try anyways) Nothing tastes as good as thin feels. Its got me through some torture!
Tenn: Climb back on as quick as you can! And stay on! I went off October 29th and was off until 18 days ago! You've done good as long as you have, just hang in there. I'm sorry you don't feel so well, but thanks for posting the cookie recipes!
Brenda: Cars are just a PITA. I hope the head ache went away!
Not too much has changed. I'm going to do 30 minutes of excercise today and try and get atleast 200 on the stair climber. Daphne has started solids. OMG! Talk about entertaining. I gave her baby food bananna's yesterday and she would SCREAM as soon as I removed the spoon from her mouth wanting more! You would have thought she hadnt ate in days. She ate almost a whole jar. It was hysterical! So, today I fed her carrots, she mushed up her face and then ate almost the whole jar. I tell you,she is such an easy baby. Just 'whinier', Darlene was just an unhappy baby and would SCREAM, Daphne will just whine..Its kinda cute.
Brenda: That is scary and I'm glad to hear you are a concerned neighbor. I've been wanting to move to Canada for a while, but I was told by different people that Americans aren't well recieved elsewhere because of well..Its politics. So, we are just going to move here in the next couple months.
Andrea: Thanks for the info and encouragement. That is so cute about your dog! lol Adorable.
I dont think I could do Tae-bo. I tried it once and about died.
Thankyou Ladies for all your thoughts and prayers.
Em~ yup, its politics, but americans are welcome in Canada just fine. (Thats where Im from) The biggest problem comes from folks who move to Canada, and think the U.S. is the best place in the world. Creates bad feelings.....makes you wonder why they made the move in the first place.
I miss alot about Canada, but I'll tell ya, I'll watch the CBC and STILL get seriously ticked about some of the crap going on up there. Dh, thinks some of it is interesting, and he learns alot.....but I need him to change the channel when certain topics come up.
I can't say living in the US is the best. I've not tried to live elsewhere. How can a person say something is the best when they've not experienced other cultures? True, some things here might be better....but others might be better elsewhere. I just want peace and harmony in my little corner of the world!! Wonder what type of gun I need to do that?? Sorry, bad joke.
I did better today I think. I got in a total of 2.5 miles on the bike, 20 reverse curls and then for food I had about 1/2c. maybe more of sugar free raspberry jell-o, about 1/4-1/2c. cool whip, a LARGE salad and 1 SFLC shake. Oh yeah and a 1/4 piece of beer bread. Tomorrows plan is in the MCTMC.
Lacey~I wish I could be a better sewer. I have tried, but it isn't all there. KUDOS on the exercise. You go GIRLD!! and BIG KUDOS on getting into the 14's, I can't wait to get into 14's.
Brenda~I hear you on the snow. As a matter of fact the guy that plows our driveway just got here. LOVE the afghan. KUDOS on getting you water in and TURNING away from those cookies. Keep it up. YOU can do this all weekend long. BAD CARBS, BAD CARBS!! Sorry to hear about your bil. Glad you dad's surgery went well and all is good.
Andrea~The things you are making for your party sounds wonderful. Way to go and finding things that are good for you.
Stacie~ HI!!
iloveadam~I agree w/you on scales especially the digitals. That is why I went to a regular one. It seems to be a little bit better.
Robin~ Enjoy Friday night w/your grandkids. THat has to be exciciting that dil got a job!! Sorry to hear about your mil, you, your dh and dh's family are in my thoughs and praryers.
EM~way to go on the exercise!! Keep up the awesome job!!
I just want peace and harmony in my little corner of the world!! Wonder what type of gun I need to do that?? Sorry, bad joke.
Bec~ it is exciting, but I know it wont last long....jobs never do for her. Am I being cynical? Naaaa Funny you mentioned beer bread...I was thinking about making some of that for a neighbour for xmas....he's always lending us tools we dont have
Im here because I dont want to dive into the Lindt chocolate that has been calling me since supper. Im not hungry, but something sugary would be very good right about now. I actually have the turkey carcass in a pot boiling away. I want to make a couple batches of soup tomorrow.
I cheated today. I ate a small handful of raisins and about 15 kix cereal. I couldnt help myself. I was going to spit it out but DH is concerned I'm going to become bulimic if I do it again.
I wonder how many carbs are in that?
I did a pretty crap job in the food department too. I ate a whole can of sauerkraut and 3 kielbasas and 3 eggs...that was everything I ate today but I feel sick now. I don't know why I was going through that sauerkraut thing but it is FOR SURE over.
Brenda: Not sure how you feel about weapons or what the laws in Canada are regarding conceal and carry but it is definitely something to look into if you feel comfy with the idea. The world is a sick place.
The Christmas play was adorable, my dd had one of the lead parts and did great and I really feel like I looked good, I hot rolled my hair for the first time in 15 years, had my victoria secret 14's on and wore some chunky heels with them...got lots of compliments and caught my ex looking at me a lot, that was my favorite part. So much for your fat *** ex wife, huh buddy?
there were tons of people who didn't even recognize me, it really felt good.
I'm going totally blonde tomorrow guys, wish me luck, I"m so scared!!!!
Brenda: STEP AWAY FROM THE CHOCOLATE. It won't love you in the morning, it's just saying that now.
