Hi All, I feel like I'm so behind in posting that I can't even begin to do personals. I was OP Monday then off plan Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday and felt sick the whole time from all the carbs. I got back OP yesterday and then felt sick from the lack of carbs. I just can't win! Anyway I'm going to try to be better with keeping up with posting so I'm not just here bellyaching about my own stuff.

Good Morning

Mindy~ posting often "usually" keeps you ontrack too. It usually helps me...sorta makes you accountable. Besides we like havin' ya around

Sue~ its good to see you back here!! Ive thought about you every now and then.

Stacie~ the imminent domain (Im still learnin' this stuff) the gov't buys your property....whether you want to sell it or not.
Quote:
Government agencies including city and county governments have long been allowed to condemn private property so that public buildings, roads and other infrastructure can be built. Called "eminent domain," this practice is constitutional as long as the power is exercised strictly in accordance with the Fifth Amendment's "takings clause." However, the new ruling will allow local governments to claim property for the benefit for private entities, rather than restricting eminent domain to acquiring land for public use.
Can you imagine your home of 40 yrs being taken because they want to expand the casino??? I still have a hard time wrapping my brain around the U.S. gov't....many of dh's and my conversations sound like...so your senator equals my what? etc etc....sounds quite funny to strangers

Congratulations on your size 16's!! The 18's

Tenn~ I hope you're feeling better soon Thankyou for all the ideas you posted for em, the pumpkin sausage soup looks very interesting!!

Em~ hang in there!! You've done so good so far. Do like Tenn said, hit the recipe sections. Thats what I do. Ive already started to get bored with my food, and Ive found some great ideas.

I got my new doo yesterday too! I LOVE it!! Its got swing and bounce!! I had her blow dry it out for me, and then put big wavy curls in it. I loved it, mind you it didnt stay in because I was outside playing with the grandkids in the snow But hubby liked what was left of it when he came home

Lacey~ how did your colour turn out?????? inquiring minds want to know!!

I think we need a new doo show and tell....whatcha think?

We are off this morning to watch granddaughter get her green belt at tae kwon do. Then back home to do some more shovelling!

I hope everyone has a great weekend!

C'mon Mindy, keep it going girl, you're almost there. Just 9 more pounds and you're going to see a 1 on the left instead of a 2, heck, you could start off the new year in ONEDERLAND - wooo hoooo!!! I'm envious because I'm so far away from that, I think it'll be next Summer\Fall before I see it.

Sue, ya know TODAY is the best day to get OP! Start with some water, have a couple eggs for breakfast and you'll be on your way

Size 16??? WOW! I wanna be in a 16!! I actually have some that a pal gave me when she lost weight. Considering how tight my 18's are, it'll be a while before I try mine on though LOL. My 20's are comfy now, and that sure as heck beats the 22-24's I started in back in October. It feels like I've been eating like this forever, it's hard to believe that I'm not quite at the 2 month month mark yet.

Phoebe's Pumpkin & Sausage Soup
4 c chicken broth
1/2 pound spicy sausage
1/2 cup minced onion
1 clove garlic, minced
1 Tablespoon Italian seasoning
15 ounces canned pumpkin
1 cup heavy cream
3 oz. cream cheese
Brown sausage, add onion, garlic and cook till onion is soft. Add herbs and heat till fragrant. Stir in pumpkin & cream cheese, then add broth and stir. Simmer on low heat for about 20 minutes. Add the cream and simmer 10-15 more minutes. Add salt and pepper to taste.
(~ 8 servings - 64 carbs & 20 fiber for the entire batch)

OK, NOW I'm off to eat some breakfast, clean my rats nest of a house, and get the last of my packages to the post office - ewwwwwwwwww!

Have a great day girls!

Red face

man you guys are up early!!

gonnabe: WAY TO GO gettin' those 16's on! Brands can be so weird!

Sue: Good Luck!!

EM: WHAT are you doing up so early!! Go take a nap girl! WTG with the exercising!!!

Tenn: thanks for the recipe, I might have to make it.

found a recipe for drunk cherries yesterday that is in no way low carb so I won't post it but it looks so good. Can I just say that you soak marachino's for weeks in vodka then coat them in chocolate? ok, I snuck the recipe in, but it was a necessity.

So I got on the scale this morning and it showed a THREE POUND loss!!!! There's no way I was getting on it again to see if I stepped on it wrong or something, I am sticking with that first weight

The hair. Oh, God, the hair. My hairdresser worked on it for THREE hours. it looks so brassy and she told me to call her this morning if it still looked that way (her shop lights at night are weird) but I feel like even if I call her there isn't much more she can do. It'll grow out, or I was thinking of googling 'botched blonde job' or maybe I could just put peroxide on the brassy parts? If I get a picture of me tonight then I'll show y'all how bad it is.

I have a confession. I plan on cheating this evening. I'm going to a bar and tossing back a few before I have to confront all those snotty wives at the Christmas party.

thank you, I feel better now.

Have an awesome day girls!!

Robin: Sounds like a great hair-doo I'd love to get mine done- just don't know what I want done w/it. Same ol' thing all the time. Should just walk in somewhere and say "do what you want as long as you don't make me bald" Glad to hear DH liked it

EM: And I'm grateful to have met you and the others here as well

Tenn: Sounds like your house is like mine---but you have ambition to clean yours. I seem to have so much to do in so little time. I'll be lucky if I get mine straightened out before Christmas!! Ok, that's the first I heard that lack of water could cause headaches!! I HAVEN'T been drinking water--so maybe that's the cure? Sure is worth a try!! Thanks for the advice and I'll let you know!!

EM: Yup, stay away from the ice cream as much as possible. But if you ABSOLUTELY must have something sweet. Try SF jello w/LC cool whip topping on it. Tastes great, low carbs and SWEET! Keep up the FANTASTIC WORK!!!

Gonna-be-150: WTG on getting the jeans to fit. You're doing SO awesome and maybe yesterday was just an oddball (bloated?) day and from now on the 16's will fit. CONGRATULATIONS!! Keep up the great work!!

Sue: WTG on getting into a little more of a routine coming here. Can't wait to hear of your weight loss journey It's always so exciting watching/listening to people. Gives me a boost and helps ME stay on track. Enjoy your coffee and your weekend

Hey, what happened to the thread? I could have swore I made it for the week only. Someone changing it to a weekly?? It's getting kind of long and hard to keep track of where I left off On a good note, the in-laws now are stacked with wood. We did that last night. Today it's shoveling my parents driveway. So even though I don't have a "structured" exercise plan, this is keeping me busy. I also realised I have to make2 blankets. So I'm going to have to get that material tomorrow and get started on it. Should only take me that day to do it. But I also have 2 hats and 2 scarves to crochet. ARGH! That's what I get for having brainy ideas at the last minute! Why do I do that to myself??? Well, off to go get the day started (oh, and forgot to mention I also have to feed deer today!)...and going to start drinking water AFTER the trip into the woods to feed deer. Exposing the white hiney to the cold/freezing elements isn't my idea of fun. So I'll bring a bottle and keep filling it from my mom's house instead of soda today. Just realised soda is ALL I've been drinking the past couple days. Not long enough to be causing the headaches..but might be long enough to be helping to keep the headaches coming back!! Have a great weekend everyone!!

Lacey, you snuck in on me while I was writing that "book". There's got to be SOME way she can fix it. Maybe call her and ask her what she COULD possibly do if you gave her the chance?? Or maybe if you don't want brassy....try to color it blonde? I'm not familiar with color so can't help on that one, sorry. And don't worry about the cheat......and don't worry about the snooty wives. YOU can handle this!!!!

Hey, Sue! Nice to see you back!

Robin - So sorry about your MIL. Glad you like your new 'do. How is the DIL's new job going? Is this the one with the blood clot problems a while back?

Brenda - I think the 3fc gals have designed this forum with lots of convienent features. When I come into the main page of our forum it will bold all the threads that contain posts that are new since the last time I was here. Then all I do is put my cursor on the 3 boxes in the shape of a down arrow found at the beginning of the bolded title of the thread and click it. It takes me right to the new posts that I haven't read yet. So easy!

Lacey - Sounds like the hairdresser knew she messed up and maybe she can do something to fix it. It is worth a try, right? Good luck with the party tonight.

Hello and happy holidays to everyone else. My brain is too full of details this morning to sort everyone's particulars out. I'm looking forward to after the holidays when my pace will slow down a bit (HA- yeah, right!)

It has been cold, grey, foggy here for the last few days. I have such a hard time getting my butt in gear when it is like this. I just want to get a nice cup of tea and wrap in a blanket and read. BUT much to do today before I can do that! Clean this icky house, put up my little tree, finish the odds and ends of Christmas shopping. I'm seriously considering NOT being the appointed baker of our families traditional Christmas cookies this year. I've done it for many years now but this year I've vowed not to get holiday stressed and I just don't see how I'm going to fit in the baking. Maybe Christmas Eve day.

Ok - well I better hit the decks running. Have a great day all.

Kel

Sue - LOL about the kids over the shoulder. My 4 y/o does that too. He thinks this is his computer, so I guess he watches to make sure I don't do anything to break it . btw...I'm on cup 3 for the day LOL

Mindy - ITA with Robin. I know it can be really difficult to get online everyday, but if you can, try to. It really does help you stay on track when you've got this wonderful group of people around to support you! You feel way more accountable.

Robin - that domain stuff is total crap. I wanted to learn a little more about it and was reading about how they will use this to take people's homes to build properties that generate more tax revenue...building luxery condo's, office towers...and even Wal-marts! How sad that your home is never really your castle if the Gov't decides they need it to put more money in their greedy pockets. Your new doo sounds great! Pics?????????

Tenn - how ya doing today? That recipe looks good. Might try it without regular sausage tho...not too keen on spicey.

LOL about the cherry recipe Lacey! Sorry your hair didn't turn out as you hoped! The hairdresser should be able to add another color or something to tone it down for you! Enjoy your cheat tonight & don't worry about those snotty wives, they'll get theirs one day .

Brenda - absolutely, dehydration is definitely a trigger for headaches/migraines! Gotta get yer water in! 'Course you & DH could be having too much sex as well "We've all heard the old joke, "Not tonight, dear. I have a headache." Right? Surprisingly enough, for some people, there definitely is a correlation between sexual activity and headache or Migraine.

The Bad News First
For some people, sexual activity can cause headaches and Migraine attacks called coital cephalgia (headache), exertional headache, or effort Migraine. Such headaches may be benign exertional headaches that can also be brought on by other strenuous activities. They may also be directly linked to orgasm or sexual excitement.
http://headaches.about.com/cs/triggers/a/ha_orgasm.htm

Just something else for you to consider . Sounds like you've got another busy day ahead of you. I'm exhausted just reading yer post LOL.

Well, I get the fun of working at the Scouts Christmas Tree lot this afternoon. Funny how I predicted this would be one of the coldest days of the year when the assigned my shift. Get this...it's supposed to be a high of about -15 (5F) this afternoon......Tuesday they're calling for 10 (50F). Figures.

Have a great day everyone!!!!!!!

I knew I forgot to say something. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! You are doing awesome girl! LOL about not getting on the scale again. I'm just the opposite...I don't believe it and have to step on 1000 more times to be sure.

Have a great day Kel! Hope you can get out of making those cookies!

lacey - have a great time at the get together. I agree with Robin
and conrats on the 3 pound weight loss! Well done!
Liv4Rok: Thats horrible. Is there a way to cure it?

I did 30 minutes of Kathy Smith's workout this morning. Its soooo 80's but actually its pretty fun. I was contemplating on getting the whole Farah Fawcett hair do. Feathery etc. You gals think that will come back any time soon, or will I just look way dated if I do it?

Trying to stay away from the ice cream. Trying really hard.
