Default Week Day Chat/ Dec 12-18

Well, hunting is officially done, I'm done freezing my feet/toes off. And of course I wasn't OP And I've got to admit, this weekend I just didn't feel up to caring. I had a monster headache and wasn't up to making anything. I know, excuses excuses. But it's back OP this week
Hope you all had a great weekend!

All right yesterday didn't go as planned, I fell so far off the wagon that I'm not even sure which way the Atkins wagon went. So I will try again today to get back on plan.

Brenda~ were you and dh successful?

Mindy~ it went this way

Only one pound lost last week, but its better than nothing. I was op all week, but I know its all the water retention (at least it better be) My pants are looser, I havent checked to see if I can do up my 16's yet. But I know I made better progress than the scale says I did. Im still going to stay on induction for another week and see how it goes.

Not much else happening, hormones are still wacked out, its making fighting the fat lady in my head a real battle

Off to get thru another day Have a good one ladies...

Robin, Congrats on the pound!!! I gained a pound and would definitely rather lose just one pound than gain Wasn't it you who said you think your stomach has shrunk? I think that's my problem. I need to shrink mine too. I can eat JUST atkins approved foods but if I'm eating buckets full (like I have been) then it won't matter...so I'm trying to limit the amount now

Brenda: now you get to stay warm and toasty inside until the next season starts

Mindy: it's alright, we all screw up sometimes!

Have a good day guys!

Hey all! What a weekend, I wasn't the best. I didn't gain anything though. I will weigh in again in on Wednesday...or tomorrow. I'm a chronic weigher. I was up last night until 2:30am wrapping presents, fell asleep about 3am'ish, slept through alarm to get oldest up for school. Thank goodness dh gets home from work about 6:30am, still had time to get dd up and ready for school. I got up and started wrapping gifts and finished about 10am. I am starting to feel like I have since I had my hysterectomy back in 2003 around the holiday's. This year though I got through Thanksgiving very happy and doing well. I don't know why this is, maybe because my surgery was right before Christmas?? I know it's all in my head. I'm just trying to come out of this b!t(y mood. I am hoping to do some exercise later today and that might help. Haven't done any since last Thursday.

Brenda & Mindy~I was there w/you on the bad weekend.

Robin~KUDOS on your loss!!

Lacey~There is a lot to say portion size. It isn't easy.

Have a great and OP day!!

Mindy: It's not always easy seeing where that Atkins wagon went. But I find it amazing that it always comes back to find ME

Robin: WTG on the 1 pound. Like you said-better than none! You are doing AWESOME!!! Keep up the great work!

Lacey: Good luck on the portion control. Your stomach'll shrink before you know it

Bec: You're a step ahead of me--I've not even touched the gift wrap except to bring it out of the basement. lol. Sorry to hear you're in a bad mood-hope that changes soon!

Well, I ate my omelet breakfast (felt like BLAH after). Had 16 oz of water so far (I know, not even close to being what I need. But it's a start). Feeling tired (as usual after eating carbs all weekend) but I'm determined to get some laundry folded. And maybe the Christmas cards done. Should do those first seeing how DH INSISTS they should have been out a couple weeks ago already. lol. Have a great day everyone!!

Lacey~ but if you are hungry, its ok to eat!! I know if my hormones keep up, Im going to be eating lbs and lbs of taco salad (my fav belly filler) Just seems to work that way. For lunch today I had 1/2 a small steak and 1 cup soup. I was full. Who'da thunk it? I think it has alot to do with not being hungry, and not eating alot when your in full ketosis. Stuff shrinks...you'll get there. You're doing so good, I wouldnt worry about it too much.

Im so excited!! Dh and I took a ride out to a cross country ski club that I found online last night. Its beautiful...and only a 40min drive from my doorstep. It looks just like "back home" and the trails are groomed!! Ive skiied around here at the parks, but its not groomed, and ppl and their dogs are always walking all over the trails messing them up. I cant wait, dh said he may even give it a try. The best part.................its easy to get to. I WONT get lost!! (Im really good at getting lost here)

Im off to make some signs now.....have a nice afternoon

Brenda, When I fell off the Atkins' wagon, I was somewhere up in the Trinity Alps. But eventually, the wagon did find me again. Keep up the good work today.

Hi Mindy.

Hi Robin, A pound is great!

Hi Lacey!

Hi Bec, Wow, you're so much farther along on the presents. I haven't started any shopping yet. I'm off to town tomorrow to start.

I weighed in today and I'm up 4 pounds! I bit the bullet and reset my signiature counter. I never thought I'd be telling myself, "Hey lay off the broccoli and mushrooms kid." So I know that hasn't been that good, but I hurt my hand, so with that and my back being out at the same time, hubby has been fixing me omlettes all week long. This morning I wondered into the kitchen and saw the season garlic salt sitting there. There is sugar in it, not to mention the ton of salt. Luckily, I caught him before he started cooking, so I'm starting the strict two week Induction all over today. I turned down the cheese omlette and just had him cook scrambled eggs.

Well, I'm off to try to get things done around here. Have a great day everyone!

Hi Ladies!

Robin: Congratulations on the 1 pound weight loss. If you feel your shrinking thats even better! Keep it up, you are doing so well and I'll say this often, but you are truly an inspiration! Really! (Tired of hearing it yet? lol)
Lacey: 1 pound weight gain. Eh, you're probably shrinking and don't even realize it! Maybe you should add some meat as a snack instead of cheese if you don't already. I noticed this last week I didn't lose as much as the first week, and I Think its because I ate cheese more often as a snack and not a meat or egg piece. Hang in there though!
Sonny: Love the name! Up 4 pounds....Hmm. The brightest side to it all is that you are dedicated to getting back on track. I'm so happy for you, because I don't know if I faced that if I would just throw my hands up in the air and go order some pizza! So, good on you!
Brenda: 16 ounces of water is way better then what I've done the last two days. And hunting in this weather? Bleck! I'd be freezing my butt off way too much to even think about it.

I'm done 3 pounds, for a total of 8 pounds loss in two weeks. I've lost 1" off my upper arms, 4" off my waist, 3" off my hips, 2" off my chest. Thinghs have maintained their 28" circumfrence. Sometimes it says 30" but I just ignore that.
I put on a pair of pants that I haven't been able to get on since before I had Darlene. It felt good to wear them, well..They were a bit too tight in the thights and tummy, but I think my weight shifted differently after having the babies. Is that normal?

Subbing for now, Good luck girls!!!

EM

Robin: Cross country skiiing sounds like fun. More safe than downhill WTG on finding it!!

Sonny: How sweet that your DH was making your breakfast!! Sorry to hear about the change in siggie (I'm going to end up having to do that myself, I think) but you'll drop that in no time!!

EM: WTG on the 8 pound loss!! That is FANTASTIC!! Not sure if it's normal to lose weight in different areas. I've heard of weight shifting but wasn't ever sure of what it meant (I just thought it meant I was just readjusting how I sit ). Keep up the great work!!

Well, i stepped on the scale and quickly stepped back off. NO WAY!! Drastic measures are needed! I no longer need to just drop 5 pounds before Christmas!!! I can't believe I'm letting myself do this again! Dang it!! Well, the good news is I got my water in yesterday Today involves a bunch of errands, so at least I'll be walking. I have to stock up on a few things before we get snowed in tomorrow. We're supposed to get between 5-9 inches between tomorrow and Thursday. YIKES! I'm hoping DH's car is back by then cuz his truck stinks on snow!! I need to get back on strict induction ASAP so I can drop this weight before Christmas. The only good thing is...I told someone my weight and they said "NO WAY do you weigh that much" so that felt good Ok. off to get my errands done and then hibernate Maybe I'll even manage to get some exercise in tomorrow or the next day. lol

Good Morning

EM WTG on your loss!!! Thats awesome!! Yup weight shifts around. Mine usually goes on someplace different than before. This last time, it all went on my legs, butt and lower belly!

Well, we finally turned the humidifier on. My hair was hillarious yesterday, Im not kidding. Pieces around my face would just suddenly get electrically charged, zing straight out, then turn like they had alien forces, and dive for my face!!!!! Even hubby thought it was quite the site

Im still op, but having troubles keeping from cheating on goodies. Im managing, I know I dont want to do this ever again. Thats keeping me behaving.

We got a call yesterday that my MIL isnt going to make it much longer. I'll tell ya, she's been a tough ole bird. Hospice has given her a day to live, but she had a wedding to go to, so she went, that was 3 weeks ago. Then they gave her a weekend, and its been a week past that. She had company that weekend. Although this time, they say, she has 24 hrs. So we are pretty much sitting and waiting for the call. She is out in arizona, dh had been out to see her, when we were told she would have tops 4 weeks....that was back in august. She's going out her way, I'll give her that. She's been sick for so long, that its time, and it will almost be a relief for everyone who has had to watch her suffer so much. Now she can spend eternity with the husband she has been missing so much the last 10yrs

Today, will be house cleaning, sticking close to the phone, and a walk. Thats about it.

Hope everyone has a good op day.

Brenda - I don't know how you did it sitting out in the cold to hunt. The 30 seconds it takes me to get to my truck is long enough for me .

Robin - congrats on the 1lb. Hopefully your hormones are in check now. Somehow my ***** hormone was released something fierce yesterday and I'm not even close to TOM. I was losing my patience with everything & then I caught myself snapping at the kids a few times and then gave my head a shake to try & smarten up. I don't know what was up with me.

Mindy - I think someone shoved me off the Atkins wagon. Even OP, my weight loss has slowed to next to nothing. My CCLL is under 20 I swear. Since I always seem to do so well the first 2 weeks of induction, I'm seriously considering carbing up this week and starting again next Sunday to see what happens. My only concern is that I won't start again . How are you doing? Back OP?

Sonny - good thing you noticed the salt. I never would have thought to look for sugar in a spice?! I'll be looking now LOL. Good luck with induction - you can do it!!

EM - sounds like you are doing GREAT! Congrats! Your body shape definitely changes after having babies - totally normal.

Have a great day everyone!

LOL about yer hair! Too funny!!

Praying that your MIL has a gentle passing. My Grandmother kept outliving our Dr's expectations for many years to the point where I didn't believe him any more when I'd get that she's not going to make it through the night call. I was with her when she finally did pass & it really was a relief to know she was no longer in pain & no longer struggling just to live.

Robin: she sounds like a strong woman how stressfull for you and dh

Earthymama: I haven't forgot your pkg, I'm just way behind!! Congrats on the weight loss, I'm so proud!! I've ready in this forum people say that even though they weighed the same as they did at a certain age that their sizes are much different. My poor belly will never be the same after 2 kids and a 100 lb. gain. I need to see if Guiness has a record for stretch marks because I'd be the winner by a long shot.

I guess I pulled a muscle in my thigh yesterday, anyway, that is what I'm hoping. I'm gonna stay off of it today and see if it gets better.

SO much to do and so little time!!! Have an awesome OP day everyone!!
